The Rules

  1. Do not invest emotionally too soon;
  2. It's all BS until it actually happens;

Lubey, worth another go, I would say. Sometimes it can take a guy a while to ahem find his stroke stride. Blush

smoothieooo · 18/06/2013 16:42

I admitted that I felt vulnerable to SLG and that had our weekend not have been so fabulous, it wouldn't have been such an issue. He has offered to drive an hour to mine to give me a cuddle after calling me a 'donut'. He also said to practice what I preached about insouciance... Grin

ColinButterfly · 18/06/2013 16:45

Yeah if anyone wants to look at it, that's cool :)

Bant · 18/06/2013 16:48

PM me colin. I'll take a look in a bit

Djangounhinged · 18/06/2013 16:58

Oh Smoothie that's fab! Did you take him up on his offer?!

Juliette I've just got my iphone back from Apple after the longest 10 days ever... If it's a 5 and you complain loudly enough, Apple will give you a new handset, because they don't want to admit that so many batches of them are faulty...

Just got my fingers burnt. Had been chatting with a seemingly nice guy over weekend (one of several, not the one I'm really keen to hear back from!) and he'd said he like my number as he didn't want to be on and off of POF all the time. I tend to give my number out fairly quickly for the same reason... So he messaged me this aft to ask when I'd like to see my new toy boy, and I replied "when he tells me where he's taking me", to which he replied "from behind and hard lol x". Aaargh! Feel quite violated, there had been no smut up until that point!

Managed to block him before my urge to send a testy reply got the better of me. Won't be giving my number out in such a hurry next time :(

Djangounhinged · 18/06/2013 17:03

Hrrrm good luck tonight! I think a G&T is totally in order - cheers :)

Re no Coffee without alcohol though - until I had my little dalliance with the lovely young man, I'd have thought it was impossible too... But since he didn't drink, neither did I when I was with him. Not only was it amazing, but I can remember all the details.... keeps me going through these dry spells ...sigh... I recommend it!!

smoothieooo · 18/06/2013 17:24

Django - I told him I really appreciated the offer and felt all the better that he was prepared to do that. It would have opened up a whole new can of worms though as he hasn't yet met the DC (we started dating in February). He's done absolutely nothing to make me feel this way - stupid issues with STB-ex leaving last year that I've never fully dealt with.

Good luck Hrrrm - I really hope it goes well! sip that G&T slowly!

smoothieooo · 18/06/2013 17:25

Django - do you think that the potential toy boy thought his answer was heeelarious? Fool...

Djangounhinged · 18/06/2013 17:32

Ah ok Smoothie that's completely understandable, but his response was just what you needed to hear, wasn't it? :)

And what a total fool, but I'm glad he showed his true colours relatively early on, as I thought he had potential. He was hardly a toy boy either though - 38 to my 41! Arse.

Djangounhinged · 18/06/2013 17:33

Eek! Clearly I'm talking about the bloke who messaged me in that last para, not Smoothie's lovely beau!!

KinNora · 18/06/2013 17:53

Good luck Hrrrm , enjoy yourself.

Django he sounds classy, you're well rid.

Hello Lubes lovely to hear you're doing so well.

I am completely unreasonably irritated by the discovery that Showbiz was last logged in yesterday, in fact, I feel like kicking his little beardy arse. Good luck finding someone as foxy as me, you knobby little Richard Stilgoe looky-likey. Grumpy, grumpy, grumpy.
Someone stop me sending him an arsey email.

Scrazy · 18/06/2013 17:59

Kin, step away from the keyboard.

Kin emergency google Richard Stilgoe. Worse pic I could find.

JulietteMontague · 18/06/2013 18:09

Wine it's Nigella, and you're her life coach.

ALittleStranger · 18/06/2013 18:10

Kin remind me, had you discussed exclusivity/taking profiles down?

StupidMistakes · 18/06/2013 18:10

I don't drink very often as I am epileptic and on meds. I.use thar as a perfect excuse. My friend who wants to be more has said that he.knows I.got a lot going on and that he's there for me. I like him a lot n know he's been through a lot too n we have a lot in.common but I know right now I need to.concentrate on myself.

Thank you everyone.

Yes Wine I'm quite surprised at him too, more for the lack of manners than anything else, he sets a lot of store by courtesy.

Oooooof Juliette that was one nasty photo. Thank you.

Anyway, his chest was too hairy and his dress style was that of the captain of a golf club in Surbiton.

Neeeeeexxxxxxxxxxtttt.

No, ALittle we hadn't, hence me admitting that my irritation is 'unreasonable'. I wouldn't be bothered if he's seeing other women but I'm not impressed by the sudden silent treatment - I deserve to be treated with a little more respect.

KinNora · 18/06/2013 18:29

Wine 'lickable beard' made me a teeny bit sick in my mouth.
The more you say about Ken/Barbie, the more of a jerk he sounds.

JulietteMontague · 18/06/2013 18:30

Kin was there a creveat involved?

KinNora · 18/06/2013 18:34

Oh Jaysus Juliette no but I bet he has one.
