Micshi - no idea what goes through some men's minds. He sounds like an unreliable idiot. Life is too short to waste your time on them. I know what you mean about a lack of suitable men. I hate it at the mo. pof and match are full of mousey looking geeks or vest and tracksuit wearing chavs. It is depressing!

Think I'm heading for some kind of depressive state. Can't seem to find anyone at all to take my interest at all. Any ideas?? I can't deal with not taking positive action to finding someone but there doesn't seem to be anything remotely interesting on the sites at the mo!!

Pom ...is there somewhere you can do evening sessions ushering or something similar...I find it great fun and you do get to meet BLOKES even if they do look like a member from Wizard. Kin I need crash carping bad stylee...

ike I've got 2 little children so nights out need to be planned in advance and have a specific purpose iykwim.

I'm starting my new job soon so hopefully should meet some new people then. Just feels sometimes that I am doomed to a life confined to these 4 walls!!!! Oh sorry not just these 4 walls sometimes I get to go to a childrens birthday party!!!

Think I need some "me" time!!

Tigsy no, it's huge, I wouldn't be able to manage it with my case ( it also has 'To Nora, love Software x' painted on the back in giant black letters ) so I asked him to take it back to his and look after it for me. I did think about leaving his flowers for the girls who clean the rooms but I thought that was probably an ungrateful step too far.

Pom firstly, thank you, secondly, don't be letting OD get you into 'some kind of depressive state' - I know that's easier said than done but the whole thing is supposed to be fun, remember 'if it's not fun-stop' .

It always seems to me to be cyclical, some weeks or days there is a bit fat zero possibility, some weeks it's message after message, no point in letting it make you frustrated.

Stella texts very rarely do not arrive, it is the modern equivalent of the check is in the post. The only explanation I can think of is that he thinks he sent it and didn't. If you say Yes, you'll either get drawn into game playing or confusion if he is genuine. I would simply reply 'No, I haven't had a text' and see how he responds.

Well Blond sent a text first thing this morning to cancel, he says he has a cold and says he will 'try' to re-arrange in 'a week or so'. No trying needed, you just do it and it doesn't take a week or so

Classic gsm behaviour, the majority have cancelled on the date or disappeared after securing a second date. I suspect they are in the sweet shop and want to know they can pull.

So for me this week this is how it went. Musician Man (2 months) now written off. Police (1 month) disappeared. Turned nasty man blocked, Italian Mum man (2 weeks) disappeared, sexy Argentinan (1 week) disappeared, cute 39 yr old (1 week) in his sick bed, Dutch sailor (2 weeks) after prolific essay writing lost at sea, Blond (4 days) has a cold. I'm out

Arghh - why does t have to be so bloody difficult.

I'm going for a shower and attempt wash this bad mood down the plug hole. Then I will get back to tiding, cleaning, ironing, cooking, looking after my children and going to another children's party. My life is anything but rock and roll!!!

majority of OD is rubbish I agree.
I mostly treat it as a bit of a laugh...and all grist for the mill, and I have had some good experiences that I'm very glad I didnt miss

Juliette that is pants, really pants as you say, you rearrange it and it doesn't take a week or two. how frustrating and annoying!

Pom fingers crossed the new job brings the chance to meet some new people and prospective dates, it is horrible when you scroll through all your matches and it looks like a line up from crimewatch or the IT department apologies to all those who work in IT who I'm sure are warm and lovely people, but there is a certain 'look' why not try snape's advice and change your search, age range or distance and see what it brings.

Ike is there a date set yet for the Herbalist would a wedding be so wrong, for a first date, Tigsy idlly wonders?

Snape agree, it's amazing how you get use to, what you like, so quickly. When I first starting seeing MrEA we had a week, 10 days or a fortnight between dates due to work and DC commitments. Now he stays with me probably 11 or 12 nights out of 14 and I miss him more those 2 nights, just because I've got use to him being here and I like it. >

Pom - crap feeling. Come off the sites for a while, maybe, or if you're like me and feel better if you're actually doing something, try again tonight fortified by a glass of wine ... Sometimes some surprising ones just pop up out of nowhere!

Stella it all sounds like a made-up excuse, very fishy especially if things otherwise are going well ...

Engineer has reappeared and messaged but haven't read it yet, so he might still be a back-up.
