Western so pleased that you are not feeling upset. He has wasted enough of your time and emotions and doesn't deserve a second's thought or upset.

I don't have much to report except that there is still no sign of my period. Probably the sodding menopause Hmm I already have the hairy chin...ugh. I also now have a dodgy knee (not even 41 yet and already falling apart) which oddly doesn't hurt when I'm running (for the bus, am far too unfit for generalised running!) but does when walking or if I bend it. Hoping it will just get better on it's own my usual approach as there is no chance of me having time to get to the GP in the foreseeable!

I am clearly an old woman already, as I have no conversation other than my health!

mercury7 · 25/03/2013 20:02

could well be peri menopause Velvet..I've had stretches of 6 months with no periods and then they come back regular as before...very confusing!

OhWesternWind · 25/03/2013 20:05

I've changed my mind about not being upset Velvet and am having a crap half hour whilst dd's in the bath. I miss him.

I have the hairy chin and what is a lot worse a sodding hairy mole!! Urgh urgh urgh. No-one will love me ever again

VelvetSpoon · 25/03/2013 20:05

I think it probably is Mercury in the last year I have missed one a couple of times, though never more than one and the next month's is normally twice as painful as normal. So there's something for me to look forward to.

Makes me a little bit sad as it's probably the nail in the coffin for any tiny hopes I might have had of a 3rd DC one day...

pixiebelle123 · 25/03/2013 20:09

OWW - I've only just caught up on the thread and I'm sorry things haven't worked out for you but so inspired by the amount of courage you are showing! You are such a strong lady and you will find someone worthy of you soon, I'm sure of it.

I'm afraid i haven't posted lately because I've been feeling so crappy! Things with pof man are going shit, basically because I am pushing too hard. I don't think I'm ready for a real relationship yet and it's only just dawned on me. I think I'm so desperate not to be alone I've taken the first 'safe bet' that comes along, which happens to be gorgeous but a workaholic and completely guilt ridden by his children about his divorce. Pah. I'm quite depressed it all!

VelvetSpoon · 25/03/2013 20:09

Western You will miss him, that's only natural. But it will pass, I promise!

I have a hairy chin and neck. I find little prickly ones sometimes at work and then spend all day stroking them til I can get to a mirror, bright light and some tweezers. So much for me being like Jackie Collins, if I stopped plucking my chin hairs for a few weeks I would end up like Justin Lee Collins Grin

JakeBullet · 25/03/2013 20:15

Do you know.....my "Prrsonality profile" on OKC has me down as an old fashioned prude! Hmm

Surely I can't be THAT straight and narrow?

Just had a few nice messages....a couple from USA and two from UK, only one anywhere near me though.

Think I am too "Mumsy" to be interesting at the moment. Might consider leaving it a few months and putting some effort into being less Mumsy.

Snapespeare · 25/03/2013 20:22

Mental image of Justin lee Collins resplendent in bouffant leopard print....

I've been having periods for 34 years now. I cannot wait for them to stop. I'll probably be a medical curiosity and fertile until my mid sixties.

lubeybooby · 25/03/2013 20:23

Velvet I get (well before going back on the pill anyway) used to get one or two periods a year when they would be ten days to two weeks late for no reason at all... and I'm definitely not in peri menopause just yet, so don't worry too much about it, it could be just general annoying cycle wonkiness.

Ha Velvet!

Thank you so much Pixie - not feeling very strong this evening but will be back on form soon. But oh dear your PoF guy has some echoes of my situation, and maybe it's him that's not ready, at least as much as you. Maybe you are ready but only for a relationship with a good and unscrewed-up man. What have you been pushing for and what has happened? Loads of hugs to you, I can sympathise so much.

OhWesternWind · 25/03/2013 20:27

Jake have you been messaging anyone that's caught your eye? That's often a good way to go about it as you have a modicum of quality control then! Have never had any luck at all with okc - had a load of Canadians and Indians but no one within spitting distance, so I think it's the site not you. I've gone back on PoF. It's not as bad as you get told, honest.

KirstyWirsty · 25/03/2013 20:31

Try the mini pill snape haven't had a period since the start of January

MirandaWest · 25/03/2013 20:34

Completely off topic but just seen DS in his school play and he was very funny indeed Grin. Felt very proud to be his Mummy (and proud of me for sitting next to XH for an hour and an half without feeling the need to scream Grin)

I keep looking at forecast for Leeds Bradford airport. Too much snow forecast for tomorrow...

JulietteMontague · 25/03/2013 20:40

I always had very painful periods which meant life revolved around trying to plan when they might arrive. Freedom at last. As for unwanted hair, I've had that since I was 15 Hmm. If I went to a desert island my luxury item would be tweezers.

Snapespeare · 25/03/2013 21:06

I miss nameless. He's at his parents for the week and hanging out with his sister and her DCs. it would be a declaration of somesuch to tell him I miss him though, so I'll tough it out.

Snapespeare · 25/03/2013 21:08

However, while I'm doing that, I might watch a LOT of Alan Rickman movies.

OhWesternWind · 25/03/2013 21:20

Ha! Appear to have a date for this weekend . . . Grin Can't keep a good woman down (and hopefully not a good man either).

OhWesternWind · 25/03/2013 21:27

Actually, yikes!!!

lubeybooby · 25/03/2013 21:28

Nice one OWW :o

God I am knackered. I'm so glad I didn't attempt to date this weekend. So much to do.

I really really really need a shag though (again, ffs) so that is spurring me on to get everything finished so I can lure a nice man over for Coffee...

Bloody hell Lubes ...I cant work out if your libido is a blessing or a curse....

ike1 · 25/03/2013 21:36

Here I am bumbling along with my 'take it or leave it' libido...

OhWesternWind · 25/03/2013 21:38

Oh no, I'm bricking it now. Got out of the swing of all this dating stuff! Pub date, any time this weekend from Thursday night onwards - should I do it Thursday do you think or hold fire until the weekend proper?

JulietteMontague · 25/03/2013 21:45

OWW are you really sure you want to? If it were me, I would give it a bit of time to reset myself iyswim. If so, I'd go for Thursday to get it done. It's the start of the bank holiday so you will be vair busy the rest of the time Smile.

Flipper924 · 25/03/2013 21:45

Yay, OWW! I'm most impressed! No advice on when to go, though I'm veering towards as soon as you can Grin

KinNora · 25/03/2013 21:53

You fast mover OWW, I'm most impressed, I hope he's a delightful distraction.

Snape - do you mean you like Alan Rickman in that way ?

Ike have you arranged to meet up with Herbal Harry yet ?

Lubey I doff my cap to your libido Grin
