I want to know what Nicholas's tip was ... and the last thread was full!

Ok, I've totally lost track of the thread again - see what happens when you go out for a whole morning! All I've picked up so far is that sponge got a cock pic (sorry but even if I were already shagging the guy that would put me right off - I don't mind filthy texts but photos are no for me) and that WesternWind had a fab date with a guy who lives an hour away and now she wants to shag him. I have to admit (totally self-centred I know) that I'm a bit obsessesed with WW story as that's exactly where I was two months ago - met fab guy who lived an hour away, total chemistry, definitely did NOT wait til 4th or 5th date to shag(!), thought he was lovely, had the most amazing summer and now it's all over and I am Sad. Sorry, that was all about me, me, me and you've all heard this story already so please feel free to ignore me and carry on as you were. I'll try and catch up. (WW - did we already determine we live near each other?)

HauntedLittleLunatic · 30/08/2012 14:12

If you do it by Friday you will still meet both of those deadlines.

Sieze the opportunity. I can see that you are ever going to have a better one.

snapespeare · 30/08/2012 14:16

watch powerpoint!!

my film version is four weddings and a funeral, the glorious fiona confronting charlie with the truth

Fi: I've been in love with the same bloke for ages.

Charlie: Have you? Who's that?

Fi: You, Charlie. It's always been you. Since first we met so many years ago. I knew the first moment. Across a crowded room. A lawn, in fact.

Doesn't matter. Nothing either of us can do on this one. Such is life.

Friends isn't bad, you know. Friends is quite something.

watchoutforthatsnail · 30/08/2012 14:26

Yeah, and hows the friends thing working for you?
:)
The man wanted a massage the other day, he's in a sulk Because you went on a date, he calls you first when he gets a job! I know It's super scary, but you need to stop rebuffing his advances and drop some massive signs.
:)

hatesponge · 30/08/2012 14:26

Fiona was by far my favourite character in Four Weddings. I love that scene. Would also kill to look like Kristen Scott-Thomas but anyway...

watch I have replied :)

snapespeare · 30/08/2012 14:29

half hearted [scowl] because i know its true.

but what if it isnt! Confused

prof has just texted asking when I'm next seeing PM.... Confused

Confused
watchoutforthatsnail · 30/08/2012 14:35

But it is. You have said you have rejection issues. You do know you are the one holding yourself back from This.
At somepoint something needs to give..It's clear to all of US pm is trying, you are giving mixed signals.... Stop it!!!! :) accept his advances And this might go somewhere
:)
( because we woykd all love it to)

Sponge. You are a star. Thank you :)

Technoviking · 30/08/2012 14:37

Oh jesus, it's gone very girly in here.

mercury7 · 30/08/2012 14:44

thats prob due to the very high %age of female participants techno :o

snapespeare · 30/08/2012 14:46

i do need to go home later and bleed my radiators, change the oil in the car and have a quick wank over 'zoo' magazine if thats any help...

hatesponge · 30/08/2012 14:46

Watch honestly you're welcome. It gives me something to do rather than bemoan my manless state constantly :)

Snape something just occured to me (to distract you from PM wobbles!). I think the gym you and PM go to might be the same one frequented by my date from last night...

snapespeare · 30/08/2012 14:50

oo? *sponge? inbox me!?

win a year on match.com my obsessive compulsive competition entry knows no bounds...

Technoviking · 30/08/2012 14:50

snape, knock yourself out. I don't do any of those things myself Grin

Sorry, twas all the Four weddings talk. [vom]

watchoutforthatsnail · 30/08/2012 14:55

Nooooo, we love Richard Curtis films

snapespeare · 30/08/2012 14:57

techno Grin

Yogagirl17 · 30/08/2012 15:00

I think Techno is flirting with Snape (....yoga runs away and hides)

snapespeare · 30/08/2012 15:05

everyone is flirting with me and I am flirting with everyone. amazing what a good-seeing to will do to your attractiveness levels. Blush

I'm not flirting with the prof though. I'm reminding him that he said this was a 'fabulous fling' and that whilst tinkering with my honey-trap master plan was unexpected and extremely pleasant, I do have an evil master plan to adhere to.

watchoutforthatsnail · 30/08/2012 15:08

Sponge, thanks, really.
You know the moaning about being single thing, I don't do it so much, family were frankly horrified by Mrl. They all said what was I.doing, I wasn't desperate. And he was not right for me....
Now, that was interesting, because noone saw me how I saw myself ( which wasnt desperate, but pretty beaten by constant rejection)
Post fling I do feel in a better place though. Even if he was a bit of a cock lodger. My confidence is lifted, I haveht been Dealing with constant rejection, I've had some nice times ( even if I have funded them mostly) And I've had regular. Good sex :)

I don't know if that's making any sense, just that its ok to moan, sure people don't make anything of your single status, and a fling can be a good thing :)

hatesponge · 30/08/2012 15:18

snape message sent :)

watch I'm pleased you met Mrl. well, I'm not pleased he turned out to be a tightwad child-adult (the hotwater bottle thing is ridiculous!) but you know what I mean. And you're the one ending it too - which I think when you have been in a loop of rejection is a positive thing. I'm glad you feel in a better place :)

I just want to find one man who wants to see me again. Just once. The relief of knocking this whole cant get past a first date thing on the head will be immense, but I'm still not sure when or even if it will happen!

watchoutforthatsnail · 30/08/2012 15:25

I understand that, I had a few second dates, handful over the years. It does get to you..I'm blaming Mrl on the excitement that I got past a first date, and the sex hormones. Me endingbit is also good I Think.
I know if you got a second date you would be so happy. It's such a stupid situation really, makes no sense, but does make you feel bad.

snapespeare · 30/08/2012 15:36

hmm. no response from the prof, having gently reminded him of fling status. expect he is not used to rejection. this is interesting... Hmm

hatesponge · 30/08/2012 15:36

I would honestly be thrilled if I saw the same man twice. It's funny cos when I first started this I had some really bad dates, awful, no attraction, not much to say to each other etc. And then this year, with a couple of exceptions, I've had good date after good date, with men who made it quite clear they were (very) attracted to me. And nothing comes of it, and all I can do is moan about it. I feel it's become my USP, you know, that I am no more or less than the Girl Who Can't Get A Second Date.

snapespeare · 30/08/2012 15:39

you should blog, sponge that's a stunning title for a blog. I'd read it!

NicholasTeakozy · 30/08/2012 15:42

Snape is right, it would make for a great blog. I'd read it too.

watchoutforthatsnail · 30/08/2012 15:55

It's so silly though, you are lovely. It literally makes no sense. It really doesn't
