Hi all,

thought i'd be proactive and start a new thread for the wenches of the turning tavern as the old thread's pretty much full...

for anyone new to this, it's a thread for women suddenly finding themselves attracted to another woman, so grab a glass of something intoxicating, pull up a chair by the fireside and we'll try to help one another deal with the elation, confusion and heartache of rediscovering your sexuality.

you haven't taken it out of context, i.e, it's wrong in any context. still hoping you will reply to my last post about my wiq!?

NotForProfit · 01/08/2012 21:18

Thanks Likea, I was wondering if that was the case. Funny that she appears to feel she needs safety mechanisms when I feel like i'm the one in danger of getting my heart trampled on. Sorry your WIQ has cancelled with no apology (or seemingly regret) that's horrible for you.

Outmy - i'm curious about this other thread - would you mind posting a link? Or will it just make me cross?!

OP posts:
outmymind · 01/08/2012 21:24

LIKEA, replied about your WIQ on last page, you must have missed it:o
NOTFOR, havn't a clue how to post a link, but its the cross dressing thread in relationships!!

NotForProfit · 01/08/2012 21:24

OUTMY - Yep she's my boss, (pretty much.) By 'mean' I just meant being very blunt about not being interested really. Or doing it in front of another person, which would be pretty horrible.

NotForProfit · 01/08/2012 21:24

Off to look for the cross-dressing thread...

sorry outmy - I did miss it! I erased the direct links to the thread as they showed in HIstory too, but left mumsnet and assumed it goes to r-ships as this tread showed separately in history. I would also look briefly if i was interested in someone to see what they look at on internet generally mainly to see if they are on dating sites or say had picture of a bf as a screensaver. Though I'd rather not - if they were communicating I wouldn't have to! pretty sure if she was wondering about me she did briefly look at the sites, and i also used my email - i really hipe you can't read anything there once logged out even if the pages aer in history? my male friend writes to me about her sometimes and really wouldn't want her to read that as he is quite negative lately. It's just strange that after being very nice just before i left on holiday she sent this 'cold' text, again the previous ones where much friendlier at least to say 'hope you aer well' , and we chatted about where i'm going etc so strange she didm't ask eve nhow it was going, evento soften the cancellation?

likeatonneofbricks · 01/08/2012 22:40

I know it's gone all 'ganging on me' while OP disappeared (how wise), I've now come here to rest, not sure I'll bother anymore, definetely not unless OP comes back as it IS his thread after all. I hate militant blinkered attitudes.

likeatonneofbricks · 01/08/2012 22:42

outmy, it really os true, no good for blood pressure (and it is a bit high for the last couple of days anyway) - stepped away now, thatk God friendly faces aer on here today Smile!

likeatonneofbricks · 01/08/2012 22:47

NotFor I wouldn't say it's 'horrible' that my wiq cancelled she had good llogistic reasons, and sometimes i cancel, but it's the fact she hasn't sweetened it a bit with a chat by text. Tbf sometimes she is very busy and distracted, after all I haven't told her so I don't expect being treated as a GF/close friend, but she was vey nice just before that, just a bit odd.

NotForProfit · 02/08/2012 17:42

LIKEA -I meant in the sense that you were probably really looking forward to seeing her... and so it was a real disppointment for you. Not that she was being horrible as such. Not nice for you when there's a (very remote) chance her being a bit off might be something to do with the internet history and how computer savvy she might be...

OP posts:
NotForProfit · 02/08/2012 17:48

I've noticed I get far fewer emails from WIQ nowadays. And I send her far fewer than I once did. And sometimes I wonder if it might be down to the 'situation' if it's worthy of the name? Again, it's probably nothing to do with what she knows about my feelings, or what she guesses, but I can't help wondering all the same...

I feel so distracted by thoughts of her. I love my dcs and dh immensely, and I enjoy my work but recently I feel like i'm doing everything in the shadow of my feelings for her. Which means I'm not giving anything else 100%.

well, sounds like you starting to feel emtional, and that's a dangerous track (as outmy and me can testify) as it can reaaly suck you in. Hopefully all will become clear during your meeting with her - great that she offered, you have to resolve thesse things early on inirder not to get stuck in a possible blind alley! when are you meeting?

hi outmy! well I did say that if OP of that thread disapperas I wouldn't want to go on fighting on his thread on my own. it does get very silly on MN when a htread gets derailed into a diff subject (just happened on a new thread which i looked at). Well, the pint about Mumsnet link remaining was though, that IF she is Bi and has these thoughts of me, OR thinks that I may be bi with all my signals, even if she's not sure, then yes she could easily find this thread as it's hte only one mentioning bisexuality in the title and it was so active that weekend that it stayed on first page permanently, If she read through all the topis titles she could easily get into it! of course she may never have looked as it is not even her main laptop now, but it'sa still a bt unlike her to be so businesslike - I know her mood changes but she nirmally starts with 'hope all is well' at least in texts and especially strage that we chatted about my holiday but she never asked. Well, see if she doesn't cancel next week and also what will she be like. I'm not having a good feling though atm. It could be also that she got more intensely involved with that man she was seeing and her bi-thouhgts aer not relevant now so doesb't bother being nice (?).
Of course you get obsessed, I did too though for much shorter time than you and am determined to find out for sure soon unless she does something clearcut soon herself. I think NOtFor wouldn't have as much room for obsession though as her wiwq has a P and already arranging a meeting I'm guessing to discuss this. Prob jus tto say that in the circs it can't go on. But yes, NOt for should be careful not to get stuck even after that, as they work together. I wisj she did get involved with cw where things aer simpler (and that it's not just the unobtainable that can excite her).
Haha, you couldn't have the thread earlier as I was the one who started it late last year, wel into your obsession! of course you should have started one yourself! you prob meant you should have joined mn earlier and strated it. I couldn't cope by myself and that's why i started this. Mind ou they could have've been similar ones before at some point.

evening everyone, it's very quiet in here...just a quick fly by to see what was happening.
Notfor I wonder how you got on at drinks with your WIQ...was it just the two of you, if so how were the vibes? Hope you're feeling okay.
Outmy It's good to hear that you're moving on from your WIQ, and offering some sound advice to others who could find themselves in your situation. Three years is quite long enough for unrequited love.
Likea I wonder how you're feeling. I am sure your WIQ would not have bothered looking at your history....she doesn't sound like the curious type. Sorry to hear she's being cold to you again in her texts, it's quite hard for anyone to know the reason for this behaviour.....even you, who knows her best. I really hope you find a peaceful solution to your situation and protect yourself and be good to yourself.
Emma not in a dilemma How's it going, you've gone very quiet...is it all rocking and rolling in your world?
Cao You've also gone very quiet....hope you're ok and your WIQ is recovering, how are you feeling about everything?
Hopefully, no news is good news with everyone's WIQ's.......

hi follow, I think NotFor is still waiting for the date - I did ask when was it happening, but I think she'd reported if it already has.
I don't know how did you decide that my wiq isn't the curious type (?)! I thyought you haven't followed these thread for long, sounds from your whole paragraph that you think she's not interested in or curious about me - in which case you can say that Grin, I'm used to various opinions and I know it can be the case! I'd say she is curious and very sharp if it's relevant to her. She's only been cold in one (last) text fwiw, she is sometimes like that when stressed or very busy, this could well be the reason. As outmy knows, she has a habit of being on and off with the warmth. I'm due to see her next week so will know what's up then (I mean if she is pissed off after reading History I'm sure I will be obvious). I'm not that curious generally but would be about someone I'm interested in (outmy said the same about herself).
