haunted I think Sunshine is right, try not to overthink it. Re hair, just style it as best you can, give yourself plenty of time (i know when my hair needs dyeing like now so long as I make some effort washing & drying it, it still looks fine). Worst case, it's a couple of hours out of your life. Go with an open mind and see what happens.

I have a date

I am a bit giddy tbh. We have been texting a fair bit today and spoke on the phone too.

He is coming next Weds to meet me for lunch. Even though where I work is miles from where he lives :) And when I said it was a shame I couldn't see him sooner, he told me all the days he was working & what he was doing on his days off between now & next Weds. Which I thought was sweet.

Am now just waiting for something inevitably to go wrong!

I have some good news. NON DATING, but i have been eating like a pig all the wrong foods BUT have lost 8 Pounds!! I was like cos i was so sure that i had put on weight!!

Dating for me is not really happening. But i have something lined up for 27th, which i need something to look forwards to cos the 26th and 28th are bad days for me this month, followed by 29th and 30th being friends/and or family birthdays.

Sponge he sounds good:) I agree next weds is a bit of a wait, I mean it's often easier if you can meet someone soonish to put an end to the wondering about whether you'll like them in person.

mlm 8 pounds is great, well done you! i'd say skinny jeans for date, unless the weather turns really warm in which case I'd say a dress.

I am meeting mine in my lunch hour so will be wearing rather boring work clothes. Meh. And I also have to think of somewhere half decent we can go. As I work in possibly the least attractive town in the South East this may prove a considerable challenge!

Me and the hippy have 'become friends' it seems. Kind of inevitable but I'm more annoyed about the fact I'll have to get out there again! Dipped my toes into one of the. Dating sites here. My god. How do you tell if you like people from their profiles? Actually so far I don't like any.

In other news the student is soon leaving the house, which means my other distraction will be gone! Hmmm. Really better get a handle on these dating sites....

I dont think until you actually meet them you can tell. I get a fair amount of requests on oasis but erm most of them are a NO!

Toenails painted - nope....closed toe shoes located check
Legs and armpits shaved - nope...trousers and proper sleeves located check
Hair cut and coloured - nope...hmm....this isn't going too well is it?

sponge - lunch time date is great :) ideal. If its going awful its only and hour and if its going great you/ he will be sad its ended and want to see each other again. Dont worry about the work clothes at all. It also doesnt matter where you go, its all about the company. Somewhere busy, but quiet enough where you can talk is good.

Haunted - none of that stuff really matters, not really. Its in a group situ as well, so no pressure. Enjoy it :)

Had a great afternoon with mr lovely, even if it was too short. Seeing him again tomorrow evening. and then we have plans for the next few weeks after that. AND hes applied for his provisional licence. So the non driving thing wont be an issue :)

PM has been gifted a three month swanky gym membership and is taking me on saturday afternoon. they have a jacuzzi/pool.
