No, the weekend was a washout and I don't just mean the rain! The messages were plenty but none worthy of a reply. I'm hoping the warmer weather will bring out the decent men looking for summer evening company. There seems to be a certain type on POF at the moment, they just all seem the same.

The stuff about men saying you have a certain look & stuff I find really annoying, it's been said to me for years and I've never understood why. I guess men must think it's what you want to hear (it's really not!). Also it's certainly not based in truth, I am really quite a vanilla-y type person, I'd never even been kissed til I went to uni (and was well in my 20s before I did any more than that). So where the idea comes from that I'm up for it I don't know, other than their fevered imaginations

I'm not bothered about the Kay Burley comparison but was a bit about the Jane MacDonald one. I think it's the hair, which will be dramatically changing in 10 days time, so the comparisons should end. I never get told I look dirty though, or that I look 'up for it' so maybe I should be grateful.

ah, im less vanillery, but am hardly pracning about in tight revealing clothes, so it maks no sense at all. essentially men are just strange, maybe they like to think that its down to them and the effect they have on women... lol

mine is probably more to do with how I dress (or certainy was when I was younger). Apparently I dress with a lot of confidence - whatever that means! It was a female friend who said that.

I think some men throw in the you look "dirty" or "up for it" comments to see what reaction they get. If you bother to respond with anything other than a crushing blow, then they see it as a possibility you may just be up for it - with them!

Post I'm guessing MrMusic goes to concerts if he's very into music, so could you express interest in going to a see a band/concert he might be interested in, and see if he suggests going together??

Post why do you think he's not suggesting a meet-up? Even if he's new to internet dating, surely he realises that the point is to meet up, not just to exchange e-mails?

I have to admit I'm like you and usually wait for the man I'm chatting to to suggest meeting. But in this case, I agree with you, I think you might have to ask him, and then at least you'll know where you stand. Let us know what happens...

I am really ill, horrible cold and chest infection, heating broken also thanks to water ingress from the rain and wind yesterday and I'm awaiting plumber. I must be ill because I don't even want to crack any 'big tool' jokes!

My wonderful and gorgeous date from the other day is still being lovely - we have the next date planned (date 5 ) but not for ages due to work crap for both of us, argh! Well seems like ages anyway, just over 2 weeks away.

My social calender is looking quite full atm, got some huge stuff going on with family. Had to tell my EUM that he better snap book me up or I will be too busy, which he did, so it's all good fun but still just casual. I'm hoping that by getting out and about more towards the end of summer which I will need to do because of changes at home, I might meet someone EA.
