Following all your wonderful messages of love and support since my partner of 15yrs up and left for OW, my previous thread reached the 1000 post mark and so i'm starting this new thread with a more uplifting subject title!!

Its only three weeks in since EXDP left and so i know i have a long way to go...but slowly each day I'm feeling more positive and believing that my life can be wonderful without him!

Here's the link to my old thread -

Thats the kind of attitude I like to see!
You go for it and have a lovely time sailing and chatting to new people. The more you do new things the more friends you will make and the more fun you will have.

Keep it up, this is excellent progress. Well done. Im so proud of you.

midwife99 · 11/05/2012 07:53

Oh well done starting. Hopefully you'll never hear from him again but if you do you'll be an ice maiden. Maybe the next time he sees you you'll be sunbathing on the deck on your millionaire boyfriend's yacht!!!! Grin

PooPooInMyToes · 11/05/2012 08:04

Wow sailing! Good for you!

TheLastNameLeft · 11/05/2012 08:20

Sounds fabulous Starting! Im in awe and a little envious of you XX hope you meet a nice guy at the sailing club, imagine the kind of holidays you could have!

only4tonight · 11/05/2012 08:24

Good for you and good that the anti ds had a chance to kick in before his latest texts.

Your world is getting so much bigger already with so many opportunities and he has backed himself into a sad little corner.

I don't think you will hear any more about the house. He may go to a solicitor but they will tell him he is onto a loser.

KirstyWirsty · 11/05/2012 08:39

Well done Starting onwards and upwards Grin

Wrongbow · 11/05/2012 10:37

Thermalsocks · 11/05/2012 11:52

Cor blimey Starting!! Get you!! Proper posh!!

That sounds fantastic for you. I am so happy for you.
What a great new friend she sounds.

I don't think you will hear any more about the house either. He will be so angry - and jealous! Grin
Don't forget to keep us updated in between swanning off on your yacht!

Maybe this will be the impetus to change your number?? Go on - it will mean that he can't hassle you!

Kxx

midwife99 · 11/05/2012 14:58

Change your number!!!!!

southlundon · 11/05/2012 15:03

Bloody hell Starting - you really need to change your number.

Don't make me beg you...

NamesKerry · 11/05/2012 15:16

Most phone networks will change your number for free. I know Vodafone let you change your number once for free. It's no hassle and usually immediate, no changing your sim card etc.. You're doing so well starting :)

TheLastNameLeft · 11/05/2012 15:32

Good for you not contacting him back starting, but I agree with the others; it would be a good move to change your number..so wish I could see his expression when that dawns on him too.

cenicienta · 11/05/2012 16:19

Wow that is real self control, not replying to his texts or picking up his calls. You really have shown such strength of character throughout all this, even though at times it might not have felt like it.

Looking forward to hearing about the sailing :)

captainmummy · 11/05/2012 16:55

He's called you 5 times??? Heck. He really has realised his mistake, hasn't he?

And I'm really jealous about the saliing... lunch at the Yacht club, anyone??

Pimms and cue sandwiches dontcha know, what what?

RoxyRobin · 11/05/2012 17:01

DH & his mate go sailing at our local club - it organizes loads of social events, so it's a great way to expand your circle. I do admire the way you're willing to get out and about and have a go at all this stuff.

The world's your lobster! Smile

startingagain88 · 11/05/2012 17:09

Ladies, I need advice please, twunt has tried to call me six times today and has now sent me two texts saying that he needs to stay at the house and he is coming round tonight, i don't want him here advice please?!?!?

OP posts:
TheLastNameLeft · 11/05/2012 17:11

Have you changed the locks?

If so Id send him a short curt response back saying "I dont think so, and if you turn up here I am going to call the police"

TheLastNameLeft · 11/05/2012 17:11

..then switch the phone off

TheLastNameLeft · 11/05/2012 17:12

can you get your borhter round tonight starting? in case he shows up?

wheredidiputit · 11/05/2012 17:16

Well tough shit for him then isn't it.

He doesn't live there or have any claim on it as it your house.

Phone the police for some advice.

midwife99 · 11/05/2012 17:19

Do not reply. Change the locks or bolt the doors, don't answer the door or phone. It's not THE house it's YOUR house the cheeky fucker! If he tries to get in call the police. He has no legal right to be there. Angry
