Continued from Makes post and in reply of:

Make just ask him. Why not? And of course you are going to be a bit of a mystery woman, he's only just blooming met you! Send him a message saying if he fancies unravelling a bit of the mystery then to get in touch because you would like to see him again. Be playful, be teasing, be fun, make him want you Make Grin

I'm pleased you are having fun but I do have to ask, is all this dating costing you loads of money?? New outfits etc Grin

Time - go for it! Sometimes we waste slabs of time pondering over all the "what if's" while missing out on the chance for some fun and possibly even a meaningful relationship.

Zanywany · 06/02/2012 10:00

OMG I just fainted, Watch didn't cancel but had a really good shag time. Pleased it went well, he sounds lovely.

I wouldn't worry about not working atm Time - the way the climate is these days lots of people are in the same boat.

Well I spent quite a bit of time with Mr Yacht this weekend, he cam eover Saturday with his DC's and ended up staying over with them as he was snowed in. He seems to be a brilliant Dad. Bit of an eye opener though as to how young his dc's are, his youngest woke up 4 times in the night!!

watchoutforthatsnail · 06/02/2012 10:31

:)
Yeah, i did have a good time.
Rob - im not sure im going to be ' teaching' him anything. believe me, when i say that if he wasnt any good i wouldnt be wanting a repeat performance. Life is too short to put up with crap sex. I want explosive sex, or none at all, thank you very much :)

Zany - are you tired today then? how old are they?

Snapespeare · 06/02/2012 10:42

:) watch. can you walk normally yet?

I had a nice weekend - went to the park with PM and the DS's yesterday, big snowball fight, we all got soaked, then back home for wine and roast dinner. PM played the Xbox with DS1, I got a chance to do some reading - good old domestic bliss, ey? Hmm

the bloke from the date is back in contact - I swerved saturday by begging a cold ( He had texted me, you were right..) had an hour long phone conversation though with vague pans to meet up this week. I don't like 'vague' I like carved in stone. :) it's nice though. The attention is nice.

FreakoidOrganisoid · 06/02/2012 10:57

Grin Watch

Am seeing my date again on weds, am kind of hoping there is some spark there because he does seem really nice and I could do with a nice man for a change. But usually with me if there isn't a spark there the first time there isn't going to be.

Zany could have just been strange house/strange bed with his dc...don't let it put you off! Speaking as someone whose dc can be bloody terrible sleepers...

Snape what's the situation with PM now?

watchoutforthatsnail · 06/02/2012 10:58

ah- sounds like a nice weekend.
A bit of attention is a good thing, try and get him to firm up those plans, he sounded nice, and there was def some kind of spark, so tie him down to it :)

and no, im stiff as hell. ALL OVER. I think im too old to have sex almost continually for 12 hours. I shall have to kick him out a lot sooner next time.

Snapespeare · 06/02/2012 11:17

The situation with PM is as ever, I guess I'm trying to move on and see other people... it's all feeling a bit sad at the moment to be honest.

I'm certainly not too old to have sex for 12 hours 'almost continually' (!) Grin yes, you'll need to limit yourself to ten hours or so Envy

Zanywany · 06/02/2012 11:20

I feel I can never trust vague plans Snape, I like to know where, when etc before I know its a definate plan. Sounds like a very domestic weeken with PM.

Yes to feeling knackered, they are 18 months and 4 1/2. Its not put me off Freakoid, just an eye opener as to the fact that his DC's are alot younger I guess, I'm not used to being woken in the night anymore. Apparantly only 4 times a night is good according to Mr Yacht Shock. On the plus side they are adorable and got on well with my 2, especially my daughter who is 8 who acted like their little mother.

Oh and guess who will be sunning herself onthe Yacht in a few weeks - me!!!!

Snapespeare · 06/02/2012 11:25

Zany Grin brilliant! so pleased it's all going so well! :)

Zanywany · 06/02/2012 11:25

Or see it as practice, last time 12 hours, go for 13 hours in future Grin

watchoutforthatsnail · 06/02/2012 11:36

ah, its a long time shagging. Frankly amazed at his stamina - like 5 mins max in between and then going for about an hour.
fucking hell - that is all i have to say.
Im either too old, or need lots more of that, to get used to it :)

but honestly, am i awful? is an almost 10 year age gap too big? ( if we are thinking of actually dating??)

snape - maybe this date might provide a bit of distraction?

zany - glad they all got on well though. are you all still thinking of moving in?
and very jealous of the holiday!

Zanywany · 06/02/2012 12:04

I don't think 10 years is too big a gap Watch. Its hard enough to find someone you fance, is a decent person, gets on with your DC's etc than worrying about 10 years.

Moving in is certainly in the near future. Had a chat with my dc's about it and my DS is worried it will mean that I won't have as much time for them. They are having a rough time at their Dad's with his girlfriend so I think will just take it slowly and have him stay over a bit more so that my kids are happier with it all.

watchoutforthatsnail · 06/02/2012 12:18

hmm - i was just wondering, should it get that far, if people would wonder quite what the hell i am up to. But obviously, i have no idea if i even want to date him yet, so its arbitary.

really pleased for you, seems to all be going so well. Amazing that it was from an internet date ( and proof that it can work).

Zanywany · 06/02/2012 12:25

It seems to me Watch as though there is more than just sex between you as you seem to talk for ages on the phone etc so maybe give dating a go?

Yep, internet dates seem to be working for me so far but I obviously gets lots of mileage on taking the mickey out of his hand shake on our first date Grin

watchoutforthatsnail · 06/02/2012 12:36

maybe. We talked lots. And have a ridiclous amount of stuff in common. It all felt quite easy and relaxed. I could see myself hanging out with him abit more. which is a bit of a first from an internet date.
I think he was thinking the same, becuase he was like ' im going to make best friends with your dog, because, then you will like me and want to see me'

i dont know.
who knows.

that was so funny, has he said why he did that?

Zanywany · 06/02/2012 12:38

He said it was nerves and he didn't want to seem too forward. When he told his sister she was just as shocked and has teased him since Grin

FreakoidOrganisoid · 06/02/2012 12:54

I can imagine Zany, and of course you feel the effects of being woken up 4 times in the night a lot more when you are not used to it than when you do it every night. Pleased at how well it is all going for you (lack of sleep aside).

Snape it's hard isn't it? I've had to stop seeing mine because as lovely as it was to have that closeness with someone, it was never going to be more (his decision not mine) and being that close to him meant I was never going to meet anyone else. Everyone I met was held up against him and didn't come close. It was just really really unhealthy for me. I hope you can find a less painful way through it though.

Watch 10 years is nothing as long as you have stuff in common and your life experiences aren't poles apart Smile

lovesadirtylie · 06/02/2012 13:17

as long as you have stuff in common and your life experiences aren't poles apart
even that doesnt necessarily matter if you spend the whole time shagging, it kinda of cuts down on the need for conversation Wink

hatesponge · 06/02/2012 13:19

watch am pleased that you didn't cancel (again!) and that it went so well Grin

zany, that's great re hols & moving in. I've no recent experience of young children (mine are 10 & 13 now) so I'd struggle with the night waking too! Great to hear all is going so well though :)

Snape, hope he firms up that 2nd date soon!

I might have a new job, albeit not with my lovely former boss. Started an AIBU about it in a panic this morning having realised where it was (seemed like an impossible journey as I don't drive). but calmed down a bit now.

Chatting to 3 atm on POF. all are younger than me...5 years, 8 years and 14 Shock years respectively. I have clearly become a cougar Hmm Grin They are all quite nice in their own way but I don't think any of them are even going to be Mr Right Now let alone Mr Right. And none of them have offered a date yet so they probably think the same about me!

Watch I like what you say about the teacher, I never really have anything in common with anyone I date. I suppsoe this is because my interests are things like shopping, cocktails and TOWIE. Which probably explains the problem Grin

watchoutforthatsnail · 06/02/2012 13:36

im seeing him thur!!

ive got the butterfly thing going on. someone tell me to get a grip.

yeah, tons in common, spent a while talking about bbqs ( who else knew somone shared my bbqing obsessions), and then camping, then duke of edinburgh, then cheese, then guitars, then our mutual love of dirty pubs and crap bands. Horse racing and cheese. And food generally. and books. and films and music etc, etc.

bugger.ive gone a bit swooney. i should not be swooney after some 24 year old boy after one date # effectoftoomuchshagging

sponge - take the job, 15 miles is nothing.

Zanywany · 06/02/2012 13:40

Ya whoo. Go for it Watch

hatesponge · 06/02/2012 13:45

butterflies and swooney is lovely.

am not jealous in the slightest Grin

watchoutforthatsnail · 06/02/2012 13:53

its also slightly pathetic. Seeing as we have had one date and lots of sex i should not be that excited. Im meant to be cool and indifferent, not grinning from ear to ear like a loon.

i need a cold shower or something.

mind you, when i work out the number of second ' dates' ive had, or just people ive seen more than once, in 3 years and maybe in the region of what? 45 or so dates.. erm, its about ( at a guess) 5.

Just the fact ive met somoene i want to see again, and who wants to see me again is exciting in itself.

StayForNoone · 06/02/2012 13:55

Zany - kids grow fast as you know! Wont be long till the 18 month old is sleeping better. I think you are right to take it slow with your dc expressing worries about lack of time. Glad to hear all is going well though!

Watch - No dont get a grip, enjoy the butterflies whilst they last! Grin

Well after laughing at my housemate and the drama of her clip in hair extensions, I went and bought a set for myself. Curious to see what long hair would be like having had short since the age of 10! Looks utterly ridiculous (though my eldest son loves them and keeps randomly coming up to stroke them) but I shall persevere! Keeping me amused anyways, with S having gone back home this morning. :(

Snapespeare · 06/02/2012 14:08

watch? slap

snap out of it!

there, that's better, isn't it?

STOP smiling, dammit! Wink

yeah, freakoid that's it exactly, it feels really rough at the mo - that's the result of a perfect day. when i succesfully detach for a bit, I'm reasonably happy, but it's one of those annoying things where we can start where we've left off. I basically need to go out and fuck get him out of my system.

stay love the sound of your clip-in extensions :) I remember having weave ins as a teenager (I blame Boy George) strutting down oxford street on a sunny afternoon thinking I looked the dogs baws as I ran my hand through my hair and one fell out and landed at my feet. Blush
