Continued from Makes post and in reply of:

Make just ask him. Why not? And of course you are going to be a bit of a mystery woman, he's only just blooming met you! Send him a message saying if he fancies unravelling a bit of the mystery then to get in touch because you would like to see him again. Be playful, be teasing, be fun, make him want you Make Grin

I'm pleased you are having fun but I do have to ask, is all this dating costing you loads of money?? New outfits etc Grin

OP posts:
Zanywany · 20/01/2012 12:03

Train time fretting would annoy me dressing but not everyone is OK with finding new places I guess.

hatesponge · 20/01/2012 12:06

Watch I predict you will have a great time. Go, and enjoy Grin

I would also say dress up but that's because I love getting dressed up Blush Hence I prefer evening dates as I can wear more make up and a dress etc - I'm not very good at doing a casual look!

lovesadirtylie · 20/01/2012 12:13

I agree any kind of dinner date is not good for a first meeting..having a meal with someone I've never met before is way too awkward, lots of men do suggest it though.
Even more crazeee blokes who live a long way away often suggest 'comming down for a weekend' as a first meeting!
wtf!!
half an hour of awkward conversation with a stranger I dont fancy is torture enough

hatesponge · 20/01/2012 12:36

so re my 3 flaky dates.

one has clearly gone completely cold. tempted to text him and tell him it's his loss, but may just let it slide.

second one (who I'm meant to be meeting for coffee tomorrow) has been in touch over the last 48 hours, general chit chat (and remembered & asked about stuff I've told him earlier in the week which is good) BUT hasnt mentioned coffee since Tues. So do I text him later (he'll be asleep now as working nights) and ask? Or just leave him to mention it?

MrChampagne meanwhile has asked what I'm doing at the weekend. Tempted to reply with 'well you did previously suggest you'd be taking me to football Hmm' but haven't. Am thinking he's probably too short - he says he's 5' 8. Which probably means 5'5 , on the basis my Ex swore blind he was 5'10 but was in fact only 5'7...!

StayForNoone · 20/01/2012 12:43

Just text sponge, what have you got to lose!

Good stuff zany. I am like that with the stbxh now. I see him now and think...why? Cold hearted cow that I am! Grin

Feeling rather discontented today. Still a week till S is back up and dreaded work tonight. Deep deep joy!

watchoutforthatsnail · 20/01/2012 12:45

sponge - id leave it with the first two. They will contact you if they actaully want to see you.

the 3rd one, just say you dont have any plans as yet :) which leaves it open for him to ask, but doesnt put an pressure on, or sound like you are demanding he asks.

watchoutforthatsnail · 20/01/2012 12:47

stay - :( long distance relationships are never easy.

StayForNoone · 20/01/2012 12:51

Watch - He's worth it. But yep if I end up single again in the future, no more LDR's for me! Grin

watchoutforthatsnail · 20/01/2012 12:57

Glad he is... but it is hard and it gets really complicated, and at some point, if it is serious, one of you has to give up everything they know to move in with the other one... and thats a hard thing to do.

I know because its all ive ever done really, bar one when i was 18 or somethng.
Never again. If they are more than 40 mins away, its not happening.

so - meh. You are allowed to feel abit crap - but then its only 7 sleeps, which is nothing :)

TimeForMeAndDD · 20/01/2012 12:58

Hi everyone!

Just popping in to say hello. I've hidden my profile for a bit, I've got dickhead overload so am having a break.

watch I would feel the same re dinner date for a first date. I'm sure it will be fine though Smile You could always suggest pizza hut or KFC if it makes you feel better, I certainly would, seeing as it's my date too.

Zany hope all goes well with the party. You sound strong so I'm sure the ex carries no threat, you will soon put him in his place if he starts anything Wink. Just a thought and it might be a daft idea but couldn't Mr Yacht go with you?

sponge agree with watch. Have fun! Smile

Lubey well done on the weight loss!! I'm back on track with my 'healthy eating' and self improvement! Spring is just around the corner and I am determined that I shall be wearing the clothes I have outgrown!

Snape How did the interview go? If you haven't had it yet good luck with it! Smile

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

TimeForMeAndDD · 20/01/2012 13:00

Stay you have a week to draw up a rota for the housework Wink

StayForNoone · 20/01/2012 13:05

Watch - Aye. I hear you. I am not down though, just lacking in patience today! Smile

Time - he can do my checklists! Grin

TimeForMeAndDD · 20/01/2012 13:17

Get that hoover at the ready *stay! Grin

StayForNoone · 20/01/2012 13:22

That hoover is falling to pieces! he can clean the carpets by hand! Grin

TimeForMeAndDD · 20/01/2012 13:35

It's Valentine's Day soon, you could buy him a new one! Grin

StayForNoone · 20/01/2012 13:39

Along with an iron, feather duster and toilet brush? I don't want to spoil him!

(has the feeling I may be in trouble later Confused)

TimeForMeAndDD · 20/01/2012 13:42

Don't forget the pinny! Grin

Awh, you won't be in trouble, he has a sense of humour. I think! Grin

StayForNoone · 20/01/2012 13:44

Ooh a pinny!! Great idea! A nice pink one with lace frills and a head piece! eBay here I come! I am always in trouble anyways! Grin

TimeForMeAndDD · 20/01/2012 13:49
Grin

And don't forget the rubber gloves, the one with fur around the cuffs!

StayForNoone · 20/01/2012 13:51

GrinGrinGrin

I have a rather disturbing image in my head now! Ah yes the marigolds, needed for scrubbing the kitchen floor!

Zanywany · 20/01/2012 14:05

Imagine his suprise Stay if you really did buy him cleaning stuff for Valentines Grin. Saying that my XH bought me a cook book once for my Birthday, cheeky git as he hardly ever cooks and the DC's live on McDonalds or pizza when they are with him.

TimeForMeAndDD · 20/01/2012 14:07

I was going to suggest him being naked under the pinny but now you have said he will be scrubbing the kitchen floor I've changed my mind. It's now my turn to have a disturbing image in my head Grin

StayForNoone · 20/01/2012 14:28

Oh you can't beat my ex on valentines day. He bought me a brand new ironing board and cordless iron! Quite amusing considering I detest ironing!

Time - that image isn't so bad! For me anyways! Grin

EllenandBump · 20/01/2012 14:43

I will be buying MYSELF some lush for valentines day!! I just enjoy a nice lush bath and it gives me an excuse. The new lush soap, lust smells really nice!

TimeForMeAndDD · 20/01/2012 14:49

Grin Have I put an idea in your head now stay

I'm taking DD out for a nice lunch on Valentines Day, seeing as she is the love of my life!
