snapes... you have the Dr Who thing in common. It could turn into a fun date and maybe a shag so why not give it a go?

Snapespeare · 12/10/2011 15:33

might just do that. :) if nothing romantic/shaggy occurs, at least he seems witty and it's nice to get a response where someone has actually read your profile rather than just going, 'Hi'.

PoppaRob · 12/10/2011 15:37

Having something quirky in common is a good start to any relationship. I have a mate who is a mad keen Starwars freak. He goes to all the Starwars and sci-fi conventions and seems to do quite well with all those Princess Leia's and Padme's!

lubeybooby · 12/10/2011 15:44

Sounds good to me Snape I'd give him a chance of a date I think

Go for it Snape we are on a mission now, onwards and upwards!!

But, if he turns up in a Dalek outfit don't shag him standards

TimeForMeIsFree · 12/10/2011 16:02

Found a fab one! 'well ok maybe' (POF)

Who wants him?

watchoutforthatsnail · 12/10/2011 16:08

snape - you should go... has he asked? no harm will come of chatting for a little bit, and if you think hes a muppet, then you can always cancel. PLUS, you CANNOT tell that hes a player... real players are so good you wouldnt have a clue. And worse comes to the worse least you will have something to talk about.

icemaidensu · 12/10/2011 16:15

...im still lurking...and loving hearing all your stories... not brave enough to start myself yet..(anyway, not in UK or Oz(Poppa!) but am taking in all your experiences...so will be well armed when/if i venture down this road! Haha!!

stayforappledunking · 12/10/2011 16:20

I never should have read that spider thread in chat. I am now convinced I am covered in them and not just small ones, great big massive funnel, cobwebby type ones. My scalp is tingling :(

Anyways...new thread hurrah! I agree snape, something in common, good start! Time to grab life with both hands, just say yes! Like Jim Carey in Yes Man. Grin

I havent been about much today, on mad cleaning mission to pretend I live in show home type house, not one regularly trashed by 4 dc and more home after earthquake than show home, for S arriving tomorrow night. Am I excited?! I feel like I have drank six cans of redbull Grin

stayforappledunking · 12/10/2011 16:21

They do have very long...guns? Is it a gun? Must watch Dr Who someday.

TimeForMeIsFree · 12/10/2011 16:40

Well stay, the Emperor has a blaster gun and a sucker arm, both could come in useful.

PoppaRob · 12/10/2011 16:42

Jedis would be more fun... impressive lightsabres and imagine what they could do with those Jedi mind tricks!

stayforappledunking · 12/10/2011 16:43

Ewan Macgregor... He can use his light sabre on me any time Grin

PoppaRob · 12/10/2011 16:46

All those midichlorians teeming about your body!

lubeybooby · 12/10/2011 16:49

Oh very YES to Ewan.

Hello, place marking, no dates on the horizon for me, nadda!

stayforappledunking · 12/10/2011 16:55

The force is strong in that one....hopefully Grin

TimeForMeIsFree · 12/10/2011 16:57

Stay did you ring the OU? Smile

Makeyerowndamndinner · 12/10/2011 16:59

I have a date on the 22nd with someone I'm really excited about! We've chatted on and off for months (I wrote about him in an earlier post) but he's been reluctant to meet because we're so far apart. We've arranged dates before and he's always backed out for that reason, but I think this time we've finally decided to go for it. We've agreed to stop writing to each other more than once and something always pulls us back so.... whether he finds me irresistable or whether he just thinks, 'fuck it I may as well, might get a shag out of it' I have no way of knowing. I can't wait though.

My question is: If we have been in online contact since January, does that mean I can just sleep with him on the first date if I fancy him? I mean I know I could sleep with him on the first date if I wanted to no matter the circumstances, but you know what I mean. Is it a bit different because we've been chatting for ages, or might he still judge me do you think? If there's chemistry there I'm going to want to spend the night with him, I know I am. There's been so much build up to this date.

TimeForMeIsFree · 12/10/2011 17:06

Do men actually judge a woman for sleeping with them on the first date and if so why do they do that when obviously they are sleeping with the woman on a first date too! Double standards me thinks!!

I would say, if the chemistry is there and you want to sleep with him then just go with the moment. Enjoy it!

See girls and boys, I have been listening and learning Grin

lubeybooby · 12/10/2011 17:07

It's no different imho no matter how long you've been chatting, it's still the first RL meet. He might think differently to me though... who knows? BUT, go for it if you want and if it seems right

OP posts:
stayforappledunking · 12/10/2011 17:12

make - You do what you feel! I was speaking to S for a year and a half (though not in anything but a friends way) and on our first meeting I went there Grin.

Time...

PoppaRob · 12/10/2011 17:12

make, in keeping with stay and my Star Wars idiom... let The Force guide you! ;-)

If it feels right and you're both feeling it then go for it.
