Please this is a very serious message but very frank, so please only respond if you are 100% honest.

Many thanks

I have a dd of 10months. Dp and i split up a few months back and i recently have found a new partner.
When i was pregnant we read that if a man were to go down on you it could be very unpleasent for them as your body is changing and adjusting (smelly and tasting fowle). Before children there was never a problem with me tasting or smelling different but when i fell pregnant it was pretty rank for my partner. We were put off.
But now i am in another relationship and i am still breast feeding and will be for the next 8 months. I am worried that maybe it would still not be nice down there. It is going to be extremely disgusting if the 1st time he tries it, it is just disgusting for him.
I know i have been very explicite but it is because i can not ask any of my friends and would rather ask strangers.

If you want to respond can you tell me if when you are breast feeding that everything goes back to normal down there, maybe ask your partners if you can.

(I want to be a flower again)

Thanks yous

expatinscotland · 14/11/2005 12:09

Um, try one of those sex boards or something.

starlover · 14/11/2005 12:09

why don't you tell him... explain that it may taste a bit weird
or just say you'd prefer if he didn't do 2.50it!

Springchicken · 14/11/2005 12:12

Either tell him or research it I would say.

My DP never noticed any difference when i was pregnant TMI, i know.

shimmy21 · 14/11/2005 12:13

Frank answer -it apparently tastes different at different times anyway but it should never taste that bad. Dh said different but not worse during pg. If it's foul somethings wrong.

starlover · 14/11/2005 12:14

ditto springchicken!

change · 14/11/2005 12:16

Actually fowle was a bit stronger word. He did use the word different. I probably took it as fowle. Wondered why i was getting the reaction i was...
I will keep watching the message. Glad i changed my name now...

I never had any complaints when I was breastfeeding when I was with my ex,infact we continued sex throughout the pregnancy and afterwards and it was no different,I mean you can smell it yourself cant you,it smells different for example when you are due on,so I would imagine if it doesnt smell bad it shouldnt taste bad.

Rhubarb · 14/11/2005 12:43

This might help.

JoolsToo · 14/11/2005 12:52

I don't quite understand why you asking. If he doesn't like it he'll tell you.

Rhubarb · 14/11/2005 12:57

I'm not sure about this whole thread. She's just split up with her partner, found another one and is already thinking of him giving her oral sex - does he know about this? Can you not just wait until you've finished feeding?

The first line of the message read "Please this is a very serious message..." yeah right! If that's all you have to worry about then you must lead a pretty dull life!

JoolsToo · 14/11/2005 12:59

quite!

JoolsToo · 14/11/2005 12:59

quite!

Nadianuts · 14/11/2005 13:01

could you not havejust asked did your minge tatse differnt during pregnancy/ breastfeeeding

starlover · 14/11/2005 13:01

what's wrong with that rhubarb?
the poster wants advice... who said that's all she has to worry about?
for goodness sake, she's only asked a question.
unlike some on here maybe she likes a full-on sex life and is concerned about this putting him off.

starlover · 14/11/2005 13:03

i've asked weird questions about sex, and all manner of other strange things

that doesn't mean i lead a dull life, or that I am making it up!

it means that i just want a bit of advice on something I don't feel I can talk to people in real life about

Twiglett · 14/11/2005 13:05

well they say everything tastes like chicken don't they?

(geddit .. fowl?? ... snurk)

handlemecarefully · 14/11/2005 13:06

just a general piece of advice - if you are not sure about a thread and whether it is legit, it is worth notifying tech and asking them to check if it's a genuine mumsnetter...

Sorry change if you are genuine btw

Rhubarb · 14/11/2005 13:07

Ok, she didn't only ask a question, she wants to hear other people's experiences, this always sets off alarm bells. Sorry, I'm a cynic!
Her story does seem rather strange, to be thinking about this with a very new partner whilst she's still feeding her 10 month old baby.

If she's genuine then I am very sorry, but I do get a funny feeling about this thread, it just doesn't seem to read right.

Racers · 14/11/2005 13:07

Twiglett, you are a cunning linguist!

sorry, couldn't resist

(change - pg, bf or otherwise no diff I think)

Rhubarb · 14/11/2005 13:08

Yeah I clocked the 'fowle' too Twiglett!

I agree with Starlover you can't judge a person and the way they are just because they ask an intimate question. Like she said she daren't ask her friends and so she's come on here hoping someone will give her a bit of advice, poor girl is probably squirming in her chair now, I know I would be if it was me, which BTW it isn't!!!

I would say Change that all you can do is keep yourself fresh and clean, DP tells me that a womanly smell really turns him on and if it doesn't then get rid of him!!!!!
