God I mess my life up big time, think I have just messed up a friendship and his potential relationship with my stupid stupid self low eteem. Feel awful. I knew he had feeling for me but I selfishly felt jealous that he had a date tonight, so silly silly me texted him to see how it was going so he declares undenying love for me! I have been telling him for weeks/months that although I love him as a friend i am not in love with him and so cannot be in a relationship with him. I should not have been in touch with him ona date - I love the pedestal he puts me on and didn't want a girlfriend to push me off. How bloody bad am I. No dont answer that. Am crap at the not drinking thing BTW

I've had very little sleep due to dd waking a few times in the night. Oh well, who needs sleep to survive

Morning all - have had coffee now so can string a few more sentences together. Sleep deprivation is grim ruby - is DD ill? At least it won't kill us and it's a bit more bearable without a hangover, no? My dd was only up 3 times last night and I went to bed early but still feeling some of your pain.

Silver - get to a meeting. Today. And tell it like it is, to someone, if not sharing to everyone. And let them help you. My sponsor said to me after my last drink, is this how bad it has to get?? Sometimes, it has to get worse before we are ready to really, truly accept that we are alcoholic and we will never be able to drink like normal people. Are you there now? Is this it, have you had enough? Or does it need to keep getting worse?

thurso what happened? How are you today? In the cold light of day, was it really worth it??

I keep waking with headaches, and the non-sleeping child is a bit wearing, but having a day out today with a really good friend, and am just so bloody grateful I don't need a drink today and I am waking up sober with peacefulness which I never had before. Need to clean the kitchen and vacuum though before I go out so am going to whizz off now and get busy. Look after yourselves, I am just so grateful to have you all xx

Dd is not ill, she sometimes wakes a lot cos she's hungry. At 5am I gave up and gave her a bottle. she went back to sleep, I didn't

How old are your DC ruby I have forgotten - little I am assuming? Are you on your own? Do you ever get a night off?

I have a sparkly house and am just recovering a bit, going to give in and take something for this headache. It's a gorgeous day out there - am definitely able to see the beauty in things these days.

I didn't drink quite as much as it felt, but even so, it reminded me that nothing, nothing, nothing gets better by pouring wine at it.

Have had a lovely long walk down by the sea this afternoon, and just started cooking for tonight....spicy lamb filo parcels, and DH doing whatever is coming with it .
