The spoiler thread runs for around a year, but I strongly suspect it gets read about as much as the main thread.

"The Flower and Produce Show turns into a chaotic affair"

One slightly obstinate bull is chaotic?

CaptainMyCaptain · 19/09/2023 07:20

I would have been chaotic if he'd run riot ... but he didn't. 🙄

Gonners · 19/09/2023 07:31

Perhaps the "chaos" was Jill not winning the cake prize?

CaptainMyCaptain · 19/09/2023 07:45

Or Ruth being shirty with Stella.

WitcheryDivine · 19/09/2023 15:59

BoreOfWhabylon · 18/09/2023 11:38

oh how nice to see the bat again!

"there’s first day nerves for Freddie" later this week I see so presumably Vince will offer him something else, I wonder what?

Hope tonight isn't Emma kissing up to the Archers to "maintain her position"

WhoppingBigBackside · 21/09/2023 16:50

Vince has offered Freddie a job at the abattoir.

Gonners · 21/09/2023 17:22

Will Freddie release the animals, causing them to run amok on the bypass?

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 23/09/2023 14:54

Another week, another bunch of spoilers:

Radio Times Ambridge Diary 24th – 29th September 2023
Much rests on Brookfield's Harvest Supper, but with some residents having ulterior motives its fate appears to be in jeopardy.
Chelsea is on a mission and Neil looks to make Susan's birthday special.
As Will, George and Poppy start their new life at No 1 The Green, more than one of the Grundys struggles to let go.
Also, Stella discovers some shocking information, and Pip puts her foot in it.

Daily Mail Weekend Archers Update 24th – 29th September 2023
There's drama aplenty this week as in-fighting between the locals has put the fate of Brookfield's Harvest Supper in jeopardy - is the evening doomed to failure?
Meanwhile, Stella discovers some shocking information, Susan looks forward to celebrating a very special birthday, and Will, George and Poppy prepare to start their new life at No. 1, The Green.
+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=

What on earth is resting on Brookfield's harvest supper? I don't see that it is of any importance at all.

With the combination of "Pip has the rug pulled from under her", "Stella struggles to find the right words", and "Stella discovers some shocking information, and Pip puts her foot in it" I very much hope Pip has a perfectly horrible week, as she deserves....

OK, Hannah has now been evicted; where is she going to sleep? I don't remember this being mentioned on air at all.

WhoppingBigBackside · 23/09/2023 15:01

Hannah can sleep in the room that Geowurge won't move into.

Thanks @AskingQuestionsAllTheTime .

I can't see the link with the Harvest Supper other than Josh was in charge of the Ents, and getting Straw Dogs to attend.
Maybe Stella finds a used Clearblue in Pip's bathroom bin.

ZadocPDederick · 23/09/2023 15:08

It would be good to think that Stella's shocking discovery will be that Pip is the most objectionable person in Ambridge.

Hannah can sleep in the room that Geowurge won't move into.

Oo-er, I can see a promising storyline springing up there - Hannah and Will fall for each other, Hannah becomes George's stepmother, lots of potential for ongoing fights with Emmur as Hannah is under no illusions about what a sad prat he is.

WhoppingBigBackside · 23/09/2023 15:15

Class! Bring it on!

WhoppingBigBackside · 23/09/2023 15:36

Hannah will get Jazzer's old room. No Fallon, Emma, Tom or Tash, or Helen or Lee this coming week.
I think that Rob will be back the week after.

'in-fighting between the locals putting the HS in jeopardy' - what in-fighting?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 24/09/2023 14:40

Thanks, Asking!

Toby is in the cast list, I see, so what I am hoping is that Toby finds out about Piella and Stella then finds out that Pip slept with Toby a few days before she made her first move on Stella.

Harvest supper - Josh has hopes of hitting it off with one of the musicians, doesn't he? Other than that, I can't imagine what's supposed to be going on there.

Susan is going to be 60, I believe. I hope she has a lovely celebration.

I see Lily is back too. I wonder to what end.

Will Jim save the day? - what can this mean? Linked to Jazzer being shocked by a controversial suggestion and Chelsea rallying the troops?

OP posts:
AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 24/09/2023 14:52

I have a nasty feeling the Straw Crows will let Josh down and Jim will save the day by having his piano teacher ready as the fall-back.

In any case, David may not realise it but he has authorised two different people to arrange the music for his Harvest Supper Event, and will have offended either Jim or Josh. So he will dump Josh in it, of course.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 24/09/2023 15:30

By Jove, I think she's got it! Yes, of course, that'll be what it is. I was thinking the Harvest Supper would be tonight but it will probably be Friday, perhaps masquerading as Saturday.

OP posts:
Gonners · 27/09/2023 18:59

... though after Josh's interaction with Jim, I wonder if the answer to "Will Jim save the day?" will be "No." Never mind, maybe Chelsea can stage a reading from Lark Rise to Candleford.

<Preens> That was, of course, simply the daftest thing I could think of, but I think it qualifies me to become head scriptwriter at £5 a week.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 30/09/2023 22:06

After that astounding display of prescience all I can do is gape in wonder, and post the spoilers.

BBC One-Liners
1 Oct Rob has a shocking request, and Eddie might be onto something.
2 Oct Alan wrestles with what to do for the best, and Tracy finds herself out of her comfort zone.
3 Oct Usha attempts to resolve a difficult situation, and Oliver thinks he’s found a solution.
4 Oct It’s a big day for Brad, and Alan finds himself under pressure.
5 Oct Emma attempts to solve a mystery, and Brad has a confession to make.
6 Oct Usha puts herself in a dangerous position, and there’s a visitor for Adil.

Radio Times Ambridge Diary 1st – 6th October 2023
It's a tough week for Alan as a face from the past presents a moral dilemma. Usha tries to stand by her man, knowing the dire consequences if he makes the wrong choice.
The Horrobins join Brad as he looks around a prospective university, but the day could end in disaster.
Eddie dreams up another money-making scheme – for Halloween.

Daily Mail Weekend Archers Update 1st – 6th October 2023
Vicar Alan faces a moral dilemma.
Eddie's plotting a money-making Halloween event, and Tracy and Jazzer are determined not to embarrass Brad when they look around for one of his university options.

+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=
I think the RT is right when it says Brad "looks around a prospective university" and the Mail is barking when it claims Tracy and Jazzer "look around for one of his university options." The for needs to be excised there.

I assume Rob asks Alan to intercede for him with Helen; last time he spoke with Alan, the vicar was very gentle with him.

WhoppingBigBackside · 30/09/2023 22:21

Thanks Asking. Maybe Trazza & Chels take a trip to Moxford and horrobinly embarrass Brad.

TottersBlanklyIntoBimboCore · 01/10/2023 03:04

I’m praying Brad’s confession is that he loved every second of his visit to Cambridge / Imperial / Warwick / wherever - and can’t wait to move in. Rather than a load of tedious handwringing and following Mia to Felpersham …

Thank you, God, for the student. I think. Let’s hope the SW doesn’t screw it up.

Thanks, @AskingQuestionsAllTheTime !

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 01/10/2023 08:21

Thanks, Asking! I'm sure you're right about Alan's role. Oh dear. There could be prayer involved.

I'm with Totters on my hopes for Brad, but I'm not holding my breath.

OP posts:
WitcheryDivine · 01/10/2023 09:37

I was wondering if Rob might be asking to be baptised (or even buried?) at St Stephen’s? A baptism would be a hard one for a vicar to turn down. But intercession could be right.

interesting we have Miles and Rob but no Helen etc.

do you think someone will finally solve the mystery of GG ownership this week?

ZadocPDederick · 01/10/2023 10:09

I see the locum GP is back. Maybe a progress report on Helen's anorexia or Jim's biopsy?
