All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed. We don't all agree on all points, although we do mostly try to be civil about it. Most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that , or other unusual views.

Well, things have taken a turn for the better in the last few days! The SWs have re-discovered their form and the actors and directors have risen to the challenge. I won't say much more than that for fear of jinxing things. Over to you!

Hello, Dean! We also corresponded here and there in the old mustard days. I used the name Dragonfly back then. It's been a while!

I can see you're going to fit right in, @Gonners! I don't know if howler monkeys have any carnivorous tendencies, but they could usefully make an exception for KUV, just as soon as fitted the sanctuary with a sound system so the howling will reach Brookfield.

I'm amazed to find the old name is still remembered! Latterly at least, I mostly lurked.

Bearhug! I'm in danger of starting to hyperventilate. A bunch of us got told we were a shame and a disgrace to another site and decamped to thread in the feminists section here yesterday. It is SO exciting to find old friends here.

We're all a bit giddy having been confined, grudgingly, to one thread only for so long. Mind you. we're also inclined to huddle on the one thread here and repeat details of the row, and the really nasty stuff that got said. Sigh.

Terfs, shitstains on the site, other things I have happily forgotten. Misogyny is a powerful drug. I think we're being polite (God knows why) and not naming the site, but googling the name of the lifeboat thread we're huddling in will get you there in a page or two.

I am still posting on some threads there because not everyone has migrated or been involved in the row. No idea how that will work out.

And Gonners, call me whichever you prefer. I'm not sure why I revived Dean, except that the cloak in warm and snuggly (all those voles) and the name is powerfully protective but look! it found old friends. Glad I did it.

It turns out that my difficulty with visual spatial skills, sense of direction and maps includes Ambridge. In my head, the village shop, Will's house and Tracy's house are all arranged around the village green. When they had the big light switch on at Christmas a few years ago it sounded like Chelsea had to go into her family's house to switch on some of the lights. I thought that was because it was right next to the village green which is where everyone had gathered for the light switch on. I was totally wrong.

Oh look, the double choir is already causing hilarious confusion. Not.

Mick's either going to be brilliant, or as bad as the young people currently sharing this railway carriage.
