The spoiler thread runs for well over a year, but I strongly suspect it gets read about as much as the main thread.

Alternatively it could be that Toby has been offered a job thousands of miles away, which would mean losing his ongoing presence in Rosie’s life. So Pip decides she and their daughter will go with him?

Bit of a stretch - but she’s talked so much about her loneliness as a mostly single parent. Would open up the future at Brookfield, though - either one of her brothers or a new person would need to take on her role.

Tomorrow's episode will probably be quite calm. I think the tough love will be for Emma. George is awful.

If TA is still on air (and if any of are still listening in a little over 5 years' time) then when/if Henry hits 18 I predict that he'll be trying to trace his biological father and, if successful, walking away from Helen for good.

Oh, and however awful George was, Helen was infinitely worse!

Radio Times Ambridge Diary 27th August – 1st September 2023
If you've read our *feature on page 22 (Radio Times says) you'll know that love is in the air - but the big question is whether Jazzer and Tracy will actually get married at the second time of trying. Meanwhile, Stella becomes the subject of some surprising attention, Pip's feeling guilty about last week and makes an emotional confession to her family, and Brad is called upon to fix a thorny problem when he and Mia help Rex with the rewilding.

*The article is apparently spread over four pages with photos and is about the three couples (J&T, S&P, B&M) and has interviews with all the actors involved. I can only find one bit of it, at https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/soaps/the-archers-pip-stella-romance-interview/ , which appears to indicate that telling Toby he is of no interest to her means that Pip will automatically end up with Stella.

Daily Mail Weekend Archers Update 27th August – 1st September 2023
It’s wedding week in Ambridge but Susan is shocked to discover Tracy’s casual approach to her big day and insists on some little touches to the nuptials. However,it’s a long road to the aisle as tempers flare for the family when Jazzer makes a rash promise.

New scriptwriter this week; apparently she was Literary Manager and Dramaturg for the Birmingham Repertory Theatre for twelve years. Whether she still is, who knows. Whether she can write reasonably for TA, we shall find out.

I think that like anything involving Pip, it will be very dull.

(In fact I am slowly evolving a theory which postulates that the media obsession with sex is intended to bore us all so much about the entire subject that the population of the country falls to 1950s levels and the NHS has a more manageable job coping with the diseases of the remaining few....)

It’s sweet to see the couples together, though inevitably they don’t look as I imagine them. (And ‘Stella’ is wearing the nastiest earrings I’ve ever seen.)

The interviews are rubbish, though!

The interviews are hardly in-depth, but I'm glad I read them. Interesting that MP is from the Isles of Scilly. I felt like that about the community I came from.

Most of them look a bit like how I imagine them, in terms of height, build and hair colour.
I'm sometimes very good in real life and sometimes way off the mark.

Jazzer and Tracy are getting married tomorrow. Or are they?
Having listened to yesterday's episode, I was wondering if there was anyone Jazzer hadn't had a crush on other than Emma, who hasn't strayed further than the Grundys.
It could have been Pip. Jazzer and Pip being the future of Brookfield. I wonder how that would have gone down with Jill.

Will Pip and Stella end up running Brookfield?

Has Hannah asked Jim if he could let Jazzer's old room for a bit?

I don't know what Jimmus would think about having a <gasp> WOMAN in the house.
