The spoiler thread runs for well over a year, but I strongly suspect it gets read about as much as the main thread.

I do hope so... But it's a fairly open field really; could be anyone in the cast this week, or even someone who isn't in the cast but is mentioned.

So Pip or Stella getting hold of the wrong end of the stick about the other; Adam hasn't spoken yet this week so it might be him, or it could be Tom because Adam is not interested in taking over from Johnny full-time; Henry because he does ring Rob and is told he is of no interest to him...

Hannah? George literally pulls something making her fall and hit her head just before the dum dee dums?

True. My thoughts are that 'Rob' is mentioned in the cast list.
George is rather well-acted isn't he, but oh my, he is ghastly.

I think that maybe the phone number might be a red herring, or is this wishful thinking on my part?

I'd be uncomfortable if Geowurge befriended my 'tween' because grooming.

I like Hannah. At least she sees the ghastly scrote for what he is.

Maybe in a phone call with Henry though? Although that wouldn't affect Helen tonight. Hmm.

Oh have just worked out why Henry would want to contact him - to tell him to stop scaring his mum / not to try and see his little brother. Although he's old enough to know that that would need to be accompanied by some kind of threat. Don't know.

What I thought at once was that Will has saved her the trouble of having to tell him she can't afford the place all on her own and was going to have to hand in notice on her tenancy.

There is of course the other complication: if Johnny plans to go on paying his rent until November (because he is an honest lad and wouldn't want Will to go short while he is off enjoying himself) and is somewhat out of contact on the ocean deep, evicting him might be a bit of problem for Will. And what will he do with Johnny's possessions?

Yevgeny Prigozhin has nothing on Eddie Grundy - but is the “coup de fete” destined to go the same way as the Wagner group putsch? Lynda and Joy think they have found the Grundys’ weak link and vow to uncover the truth.
The Bridge Farm Archers are plotting to bag the deal to supply the new Grey Gables, but Helen is torn between the business and everything else.
Meanwhile, Brad finds himself on the spot and there’s an opportunity for Stella - until disaster strikes.

Lynda is determined to find out exactly what the Grundys are planning for the fete, Brad finds himself on the spot, and disaster strikes at Home Farm.

It seems a bit late to revert to the previous style of fête, though, so what exactly can be done?

Oh dear, in two weeks' time the one liners say Henry finds himself in too deep, and there's a nightmare for Helen.

I mentally included Alistair in that list. He's a fairly stable sort of character.
I'm missing Leonard. We've not heard from him for a while.
Not keen on Eddie at the best of times, although he's had some good scenes with Lilian in the past

Mention of Leonard makes me wonder - if Jill were to die first, whether he would continue to have any contact with Brookfield. I mean, I’m sure they’d be kind in the immediate few weeks after, and maybe pop in on him once a month or so for a while, but eventually he’d just be a Christmas card, wouldn’t he?

Sadly, it turns out that the reason for the double SW week last week was because Keri Davies was due to write that week's scripts, had got as far as the detailed synopsis, and then his brother died after a long illness. He has had to support his mother, who is 90 (like mine) through this. Unimaginable to outlive your own child.

... and, as I forgot to add, Tim Stimpson stepped in to finish the scripts.

Ah, sad.

Sorry to hear of Keri Davies's loss.

That is sad. But whoever wrote tonight's script did a cracking job! I don't think I've enjoyed an episode so much in months, if not years.
