He may well be an ephebo, and maybe Lily conveniently dumped herself

She’s in the cast list - but isn’t mentioned in the spoilers. Which made me think she might just be on the phone rather than back in the village.

(Though I’d much rather she turned up safe and well tonight!)

I'm still typing strangely. What I meant was I deliberately misspelt the word because I meant it as an allegation.

Chelsea looks nothing like 'my' Chelsea. In my mind, both Tracey and Chelsea have dark hair. I am wrong though, because the wonderful Bradley told her and us that she had roots showing.

New here but I’d like to share my theory. Someone may have posted similar so I apologise if I’ve missed it!

Didn’t Chelsea have a crush on Ben? And wasn’t he very out of it and disappeared at the rave after his break up with Beth?

I think it will be Ben if it’s anyone we know.

Isn't "Chelsea" a rather talented stage performer these days? I hope this "running away" thing isn't just a way to keep her in the cast for a few months while she is busy doing something else. I had worried that she was going to get deaded the way the village threw themselves into leafletting/looking for her.

It makes no sense, Tracey and Chelsea would have talked through her options and dealt with the repercussions either way.

I don't think I've watched Eastenders for a few decades, but I think they used to send people to Southend whenever they had a personal crisis.

Radio Times Ambridge Diary 11th - 16th September 2022
Contemplation about the future is in the Ambridge air. Lily and Russ are feeling tense at Lower Loxley, before a shocking incident makes their situation even more fraught. Lilian is no more settled, when Justin makes it clear he's missing life at Ambridge Hall. With Lynda cooking up a plan with him, will Lilian ever get back to her new kitchen?
Josh finds memories stirred during his big clear-out, while David comes across something - or someone - he could use to his advantage. Meanwhile, Tracy is not having a good time. She's still eating humble pie, and while not everyone is quick to support her, she finds somebody who could be her knight in shining armour.

Daily Mail Weekend Magazine Archers Update 11th – 16th September 2022 Lilian claims to be desperate to get home and take charge of her new kitchen. Can this be right? You can count on the fingers of one mitten the number of times one of her cakes has made the grade at the Flower and Produce Show, and none of her many husbands has ever had a good thing to say about her gravy. Justin certainly seems unwilling to leave the culinary delights of Ambridge Hall to risk his teeth on Lilian's pastry. Meanwhile, Tracy tries to make amends, David uncovers secrets, Josh and Ben take the next step and a shocking incident occurs at Lower Loxley, where Elizabeth tries to save the day – and where, yet again, life will never be the same.

I would just like to point out that Lilian has had two husbands, not "many", and each in turn died – from causes other than her cooking!

I think he may be to do with the "shocking incident" that "occurs at Lower Loxley" rather than being in the frame for upduffing Chelsea.

That kitchen seems to be taking months to re-fit. Is that normal? I hope not as we are thinking of having ours done and I have no intention of moving into a B and B for the duration.

The nearly eight weeks (they started at the beginning of the week of 20th July, which was when Justin and Lilian moved to Ambridge Hall because it was too noisy for them) Felpersham Kitchens' employees have taken is not normal. My mother's new kitchen took four and a half days including the ceiling, plus a day to finish the paintwork the following week.

And apart from two days when she couldn't cook in it, there was no disruption of my parents' lives; they felt no need to move out for the duration.

Personally and if I were Justin, I would by now have been talking about legal action and not paying.

I'm glad to hear it. I thought it was very unlikely.

Our last kitchen refurb was part of a much larger building project after we discovered fruiting bodies in a little-used cupboard which had got damp (both rising and penetrating damp were involved) 😱and led to wet or possibly dry rot in a lot of the woodwork in that room. It took ages but that was because the rejigging of kitchen units was the least of our issues.

Ours will be fairly basic - units, sink, tiles etc. Considering Justin snd Lillian hadn't considered having a new kitchen until they were persuaded by Lily's kitchen company there can't have been much wrong with their original kitchen.

You are right about Lillian. 2 marriages, and not a good cook.
JD also has had 2 husbands, and neither of them died, but she has 5 children if you count Ruairi, from 3 fathers. JD is an excellent cook.

I’m still thinking Ben and possibly a consent storyline with him being quite out of it at the rave and probably not remembering anything. Chelsea feeling guilty so she ran away?

Blake has a job , a flat and a support network where he is.

And why on earth would he go back to Ambridge Hall? He ran away from there.

Ours took two weeks, but it did include new flooring and replastering. We were living off salads/microwaves and slow cook meals for a bit, but we certainly didn't need to move out.

He ran away as he felt guilty but Lynda can be very persuasive .... and now he has more confidence he could stay ?
