Radio Times Ambridge Diary 31st July - 5th August 2022
Adil Shah teams up with Oliver and Ray [sic. Asking] for a business event they hope will charm the locals. Relying on Ray's [sic. Asking] knowledge of Ambridge turns out not to be their best idea, but Adil gets a pleasant surprise with a gesture of support from an unexpected source.
Justin Elliott also has his business head on, until a worrying personal situation presents itself for him & Lilian. And Alice and Shula finally get to inspect the Stables makeover, although by now Shula may have her eye on a completely different kind of course.
Meanwhile, over at Bridge Farm, Peggy is hoping to mark the arrival of the twins in her own unique fashion, but will everyone be happy with her big plans?
Daily Mail Weekend Magazine Archers Update 31st July - 5th August 2022
The dark forces currently controlling Ambridge have it in for Oliver Sterling. They've sent his business up in smoke, turned pretty much everyone in the village against him and got Tracy Horrobin reaching for her pitchfork. Even when Oliver tries to do the right thing, it all goes horribly wrong. This week he will, yet again, put his hand in his pocket to help someone out. Will his kindness heal old wounds or make matters worse?
Adil tries, once more to get in the villagers' good books; this time, though, he may have a powerful ally on his side.
Meanwhile, Peggy, an expert at coming up with well-intentioned schemes that backfire, has another of her wheezes.
======================================
I do sincerely hope that Adil will not be relying on the horrible temporary manager employed to look after Grey Gables when Caroline and Oliver went on holiday in 2013.
And it looks as if Oliver is going to try to help Brad by stumping up the money to pay for him to go to his summer school. Pity Brad told them he wasn't coming and therefore wouldn't need his scholarship, isn't it.
Oh, and can the unexpected source/powerful ally be Lynda, she having finally got over her pointless and baseless prejudice against Adil after seeing what is actually being planned for GG? Or is it Lilian?
