I’d be making sure the creep knows, and be threatening to make it public knowledge (ending his cost arrangement at LL) if he didn’t disappear never to be seen again.

I’m guessing it will be Brad - who doesn’t know what’s going on and is worried about his sister - who contacts their father (Den?). And Den might be the one who either learns from Chelsea or assumes Russ is the responsible party.

Excited to see whether it’s accusation of fatherhood or Lily or Elizabeth that scuppers his upward trajectory. Obviously Lily is old enough to choose what to do with her own money but I’d be surprised if Elizabeth doesn’t have something to say about a repeat of the Artist as Uni Parasite scenario. Though it’s a bit late! The SWs are late. Who leaves buying a flat for uni until September???

I googled Laurence Saunders and he’s late 40s/early 50s so the right age to be Brad and Chelsea’s dad.

If "Russ is in for a shock", that shock almost certainly has nothing to do with Chelsea being pregnant. The SW seem to like Russ and consider him an entirely suitable partner for Lily (please don't make her change her mind about marrying the man).

It would be quite fun if Russ THOUGHT he might be the father and promptly legged it with his multi-temperature kettle.

It's completely incredible that Chelsea and Russ would have been interacting the way they have been if anything had happened between them.

Lily proposed marriage to Russ after his divorce from Lara came through, and he said No. So I rather hope she does change her mind, and decides she doesn't want to marry him after all.

Reading ahead through to the 23rd September I can see why the ‘Russ falsely accused and doing a runner, or worse’ theory is gaining ground.

And no mention of Chelsea!

Chelsea is in the cast for 10th –15th September.

Susan knows that Chelsea is pregnant, so there's no reason for anyone in the entire village not to.

No idea when Susan was given the information, but she and Tracy mentioned it when they were on the phone together this evening. So RadioCarter knows.

Brad knows as well, because he heard Tracy screeching about it to Jazzer. And Tracy told Harrison.

I haven’t listened to tonight’s episode yet but could Russ be sheltering Chelsea?

"The fallout continues at Lower Loxley" means something big has happened, at least.

Alternatively it could mean the horse chestnut trees have been attacked by miner moths and are dropping their leaves early.

Maybe she’s been disguised as an installation in the gallery?

But yes, it’s possible. LL is a big place. (And he does have form for extremely poor judgement.)

I don't think he'd then waste an evening (from his point of view) in the cold and rain leafleting Borchester. Not if he knew where she was. He would simply not volunteer to do it.

He wouldn't. That would be very duplicitous, and he isn't actually duplicitous. He might be self- delusional but he's not deliberately dishonest.

I also think if he knew where Chelsea was ,but is sworn to secrecy, he would persuade her to at least let Tracey know she was safe.

Might CMR get publicly accused at the launch of being a peedo? That would cause him to do a runner. I don't think he is one but maybe he just makes sure that the targets are at least 16.

He has not as far as we know ever targeted a pre-pubescent child or (when the word gets extended a bit) a child up to the age of thirteen, which is what paedophiles are interested in. At worst he's an ephebophile, fancying people between the ages of fifteen and nineteen.
