I do like the Susan learning to ride SL though, why should it be a secret, are the Mysteries traditionally a secret? I'd 've thought that joining the nobs on a horse would 've been right up her street.

As being a King is

I've always imagined that Susan (and Neil) would be quite fit.

She must be on her feet most of the day at work, stirring and pouring vats of dairy stuff and stacking shelves. I expect that she is very house-proud too.

Yes Mad but that type of work doesn't help you stand up properly using your 'core ' muscles. A lot of us 'stoop' and stick out our necks\heads as we age, looking down a lot. I do proper Pilates,yoga type stretches every other day to keep trim. I still have to remember to tighten my stomach and push down my shoulders during the day. sitting (on here especially )

Good news - Jazzer’s latest date with Jade is set to go horribly wrong. Now, it’s not that I wish Jazzer ill, but we’d all much rather see him paired up with Tracy, right? Let’s hope some sage words from Jim will help Jazzer to see where his future really lies.
Elsewhere, Brian tries to support Alice and Chris, and Kirsty is attempting to come to terms with Philip and Gavin’s verdict and is needing the help of friends to support her.
And here’s a fact to make you feel old: George Grundy [it actually says Carter in the original - aa] is now 16 years old! Surely, it’s only five minutes since we had that famous “Who’s the daddy?” saga involving Ed and Will?

There are a few loose cannons at large in Ambridge this week, so if you have managed to cross the torrents of the almighty Am, be very careful. Free-range Kate, with her enormous feet and rewilding eyebrows, is roaming around, looking to barge in where she’s not wanted, leaving Phoebe anxious. Jazzer is in despair that his relationship with Jade is going off the rails, and is left contemplating his life’s choices. An attempt to round up some of the Carters for George’s sixteenth birthday goes awry when he goes missing; then, another family member starts acting oddly, giving the much-burdened Chris more worries.

Have been reading ahead (BBC site) - and Martha is apparently being christened this month! Isn't that unusually speedy? (Youngest in our family was christened at about eight months.) No indication in teasers of illness or any other pressing reason. And probably only her grandparents and great-grandparents will have been vaccinated by the time of this shindig.

The christening is being planned, but does it actually happen? I can't find a page where it says that it does. Help?

Oh dear, Chris is due to be confronted with the ugly truth on the 19th. That's going to be one big bust-up as I can't see him accepting any risk to Martha whilst her mum is knocking back the vodka.

He was tonight, unless she manages to convince him the empty bottle was because she had poured away the booze her evil father insisted on her accepting.

Maybe the ugly truth is that dear-ickle-Martha, contrary to earlier indications, has pretty much the capacities of a radish. Takes after 'er Daddy, bless 'er.

The weeks seem to go more quickly when there are four episodes in them. This makes no sense, since Saturday is the same distance from the last Saturday as it ever was, but that's how it feels.

Elsewhere, Martha’s christening plans are taking shape and the aim appears to be to make everything one notch better than perfect. But the choice of godparents is set to cause a bit of a stink, while the buffet creates tensions in the Tea Room. With stress levels rising, expect Alice to make a shock decision. But who will come to her rescue, and might they end up regretting their decision?

Who is the debonair figure strolling through Ambridge? His shirt is ironed, his shoes are polished, and his after shave all but drowns out the spring perfumes that waft through the village. What you are seeing coming towards you is Ambridge’s Young Lochinvar - aka Jazzer - who yet again, is off a-wooing. He is determined that Tracy will see him in a whole new light, so he’s smartened himself up and is on a charm offensive.
Alice, who is trying to clean up her act, finds herself under crushing social pressure, as plans to make Martha’s christening a big event steam ahead.
Meanwhile, Kate, Ambridge’s ageing wild child, finds she’s very far from welcome at any Aldridge home.

I think they used son-in-law as shorthand for son-not-in-law.
cf. use of the word stepchildren when people mean partner's children from a previous relationship.
