Any reputable clinic will insist on implications counselling if you are using donor gametes - I was only listening sporadically at that point so I can't remember, but that may have been what she had. It's to check you've understood and thought about the implications, e.g. that the child can contact the donor at 18 (but the donor isn't obligated to respond), what you will tell the child and other people, etc.

Did I also miss Henry ever being told anything about his origins? The advice is that you talk about it from right at the beginning, e.g. with picture books, so they know right from he start and there is never any big moment of telling.

thislldofornow · 12/02/2019 13:22

Thinking about it, they also often offer supportive counselling during the process, so she may have had that too.

MikeUniformMike · 12/02/2019 13:23

I think Will gets a valentine card and it will be from Mia or Tracy Horrobin.

QuaterMiss · 12/02/2019 19:16

Hah! How did I guess?

thislldofornow · 12/02/2019 20:23

I hope we get to hear some of the therapy!

QuaterMiss · 12/02/2019 21:13

I'm very much assuming that's what the 'special 2 hander' episode will be.

Looks like tomorrow.

(

thislldofornow · 12/02/2019 21:36

Oh yes! I hadn't't really registered the 'two hander' bit or what it meant. Excellent. I'm interested to see if she mentions Russ and Lily's relationship.

SaturdayNext · 13/02/2019 20:17

Roy taking pity has got to be letting Kate stay, hasn't it? Phil may find himself living with Kirsty sooner than he thinks.

MikeUniformMike · 14/02/2019 20:06

I think that Kate might take over Ruairi's room. Ruairi will go to Brookfield then LL.

QuaterMiss · 14/02/2019 20:51

Well, that insignificant revelation about amounts of time spent at the gym does provide a clearer picture of exactly what Helen might be finding so attractive in Lee ...

Is she lying to herself about the relevance of sweetness and approachability? Those qualities must be a relief after Rob - but surely the low dives could become a bore.

Was funny that the date venue was somewhere habitually frequented by (penniless) Grundys.

Spoiler update, another hat tip to Mustardland for the RT summary.

Radio Times 16 - 22 February 2019

In soaps, it's all too easy to hit the reset button when characters experience a trauma. Kudos to The Archers for periodically re-exploring Will's grief following the untimely demise of his wife Nic. With the anniversary approaching, her kids are keen to commemorate her death in an unusual way, but can Will put his feelings to one side to support their idea? Or will he end up pushing away those closest to him?

Elizabeth is surprised when Lily and Russ return to Lower Loxley, while Jill struggles to comprehend what's been going on under her nose. And Jolene is offended by Kenton's remarks about her musical prowess, but who will have the last laugh at the Bull's entertainment evening?

Cast: Jill, Ruth, Pip, Ben, Kenton, Jolene, Tony, Pat, Tom, Jennifer, Susan, Alan, Clarrie, Will, Mia, Elizabeth, Lily, Johnny, Peggy, Russ

Fri 15/2 Tracy stands accused and Roy takes pity.

Sun 17/2 Lily makes a big decision and Clarrie proves to be a source of inspiration
18/2 Ruairi comes to the rescue and Elizabeth feels guilty
19/2 Peggy offers some advice and it's stalemate at Bridge Farm
20/2 Jill is shocked by the truth about recent events and Kenton pleads for mercy
21/2 Will struggles as Nic's anniversary approaches and Susan deals with an emergency

Sun 24/2 Ian looks to the future and Jennifer makes an unpleasant discovery.
Mon 25/2 Tom drops a shocking bombshell and Pat has concerns.
Tue 26/2 Lily faces a difficult dilemma and Pip is far from impressed.
Wed 27/2 Things are looking up for Ed, and Adam has a plan.
Thu 28/2 Susan finds herself rebuffed and Helen attempts to combat her nerves
Fri 1/3 It's a big night for Lee, and Clarrie imparts some difficult news.

I'm a bit worried about that last one. All the Grundys are in the cast list for this week and the Editor is directing. Joe? Sad

Unpleasant discovery on the Sunday - Jennifer's kitchen in the skip?

Panicatthebistro · 15/02/2019 15:26

Hopefully the unpleasant news is of the order of one of Joe's ferrets vomiting on the rug, not Joe himself having a funny turn on the rug.

thislido · 15/02/2019 20:15

I hope it's not Joe.

echt · 16/02/2019 00:37

Tom drops a shocking bombshell

This will some frightful advance in his relationship with Natasha, with significant financial implications.

QuaterMiss · 16/02/2019 06:22

Either he and Natasha have got married, or he's leaving the Bridge Farm brand ...

QuaterMiss · 16/02/2019 06:23

Thanks B!

thislido · 16/02/2019 13:01

I hope Tom and Kirsty don't both forge ahead in their respective relationships in some sort of weird competition with each other, only for the relationships to crumble and for them to eventually end up together. Although now I've written that down I suppose it would be an OK storyline if they manage to grow up in the meantime.

What's Kirsty's shelf-life as a character detached from the Archers family?

MikeUniformMike · 16/02/2019 13:57

The spoilers often seem to be damp squids [sic].
Tom will have bought one of the houses?
I think Kirsty deserves better than Tom or Philip.

thislido · 16/02/2019 14:22

I agree, they spoilers are often overplayed. I wonder if Tom is simply telling Natasha that he jilted Kirsty at the aisle.

I hope Helen's nerves are related to telling Lee, and that Lily's dilemma is about where to bury Russ's body.

MikeUniformMike · 16/02/2019 14:28

Lily's dilemma will be whether CallMeCocklodger will be moving to LL with her.

QuaterMiss · 16/02/2019 14:37

Well there's definitely a Lewis shaped vacancy at LL. (Easy enough to officially retire poor silent Lewis.)

Running the art gallery (with accommodation thrown in) would be an ideal job for a man so incapable of looking after himself. I doubt he's terribly employable elsewhere.

QuaterMiss · 19/02/2019 19:21

Is Tom going to buy the ten acres on his own/with Natasha?

And eventually set up a rival farm?Shock

thislido · 19/02/2019 21:48

I've just noticed that I said Tom liked Kirsy at the aisle. Obviously I meant altar Blush

I'd like their rival farm to be further away. Much further away.

thislido · 20/02/2019 08:46

Jilted, not liked. Clearly my post is doomed!

Eastpoint · 21/02/2019 23:00

I’m not sure whether this counts as a spoiler or not but there’s a job going for an Assistant Producer on The Archers
