Poor Jennifer – despite being a terrible snob, it’s hard not to feel sorry for her as the new owners of Home Farm starts making unreasonable demands. Lilian, for her part is furious, while Brian attempts to arrange a compromise. But it soon becomes clear that Jennifer is struggling to hold things together.

David is dominating proceedings at the Canterbury Tales rehearsals thanks to his risk assessment, and Linda is struggling to control her cast. Just when it looks as though things are coming together, disaster strikes…

Phoebe has a radical suggestion to get Roy’s life back on track (and hopefully put a stop to it to his Eeyore like moping). And Helen is looking forward to some father-daughter bonding as she and Tony prepare to head to France to pick their new cattle.

Lynda is being surprisingly stoical as David delivers yet more bad news following the latest setback with The Canterbury Tales. But Ben suspects she is more upset than she is letting on. At Lower Loxley, Elizabeth continues to act erratically and makes a strange decision that sparks concern. And when a familiar face shows up to put the cat among the pigeons, Lily is left with some serious explaining to do.

Brian, meanwhile, is continuing to throw all his efforts into finding a new home for him and Jenny – and with the clock ticking, he enlists the help of Lilian. Which sounds like a recipe for disaster. After all, Lilian’s only requirements for a home or to have a hot tub and be near an off-licence.

Tensions are flaring again at Lower Loxley as Lily continues to carry the burden and take out her frustrations on Russ. But the main shock comes later when Elizabeth has a terrifying encounter – who will come to her rescue?

Justin is turning his nose up when the Grundys ask him a favour, but it’s Emma who soon finds herself in it up to her neck. At Home Farm, Brian is determined not to be beaten and, pretty soon, there may be a ray of hope glinting for the Aldridges – but at what cost?

Elsewhere, a Christmas shopping trip takes an unexpected turn for Helen, while Pat is thrown into a panic by an early Christmas gesture and is forced to take drastic action.

@Miscible That's what I thought too. I can't remember what happened to Freddie's "friend" Ellis. I can imagine him turning up would be a bit terrifying.
