Yes, sepsis/major organ failure. She could hang on for weeks/months before succumbing Sad

Although, this is Ambridge, so who knows.

I started the very first spoiler thread but I don't want to do any more. I can't cope with the responsibilty.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 12/03/2020 08:11

I'm happy to do it if others would be OK with that. Might be 15 months before it's next needed, based on this one. Just don't want to seem to be taking over all Archers-related threadstarting activity.

SurpriseSparDay · 12/03/2020 09:49

Very happy to submit to your benign dictatorship of Archers-related threads Gasp0de! Grin

BoreOfWhabylon · 12/03/2020 10:05

Go for it Gasp0!

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 12/03/2020 10:40

Thank you for entrusting me with this huge responsibility. I will do my best not to let this great community of Archers spoilers addicts down.

What a cheery little ditty SurpriseSparDay! It seems strangely applicable to a number of our politicians.

I might start humming the chorus to aid correct hand-washing (doubtless that would freak out DD)

Go for it Gasp0

Somewhere else I read a comment that the Editors have form for being economical with the cast list if they want to keep people guessing (apparently it happened when Darrell was suicidal).

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 12/03/2020 16:03

I think they have once or twice failed to include someone who might have given the game away by his or her presence: for instance I think they didn't have Tom in the week he reappeared from Canada, until after he had done so and then they changed the cast-list on the website.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 12/03/2020 16:07

By the way, should I wait for the new thread to post the spoilers, or should they go here? It being Thursday and all.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 12/03/2020 17:46

Please could you do it here? I'm hoping to make full use of this thread. Waste not, want not!

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 12/03/2020 23:45

OK. Sorry for the delay: I was out panic-buying vast quantities of cans of energy-drink (Red Alert: it contains exactly what Red Bull does and costs far less, if anyone wants to know) for a convention OH is going to this weekend. And then I forgot.

Radio Times Ambridge Diary 15th-20th Mar
The fallout from last week means that Ben’s 18th birthday party proves to be something of a damp squib, though an unexpected gift from Jill and Leonard provokes a debate.
Elsewhere, Alistair attempts to interest Ed in a sheep healthcare plan. But Ed is distracted by his concern for a loved one.
In a different corner of the village, Harrison is determined to help out when a neighbour reports a crime. But when he investigates the situation, he makes a worrying discovery.
Over at Home Farm, Adam’s running on little sleep thanks to lambing and a restless Xander. Will Brian’s suggestion as to how to ease his burden meet with approval?

===============================
I really hope Jill and Leonard have bought him a car -- at which point Josh ought to pipe up about how it's unfair, all he got for his eighteenth was a measly laptop. (They have retrospectively invented both Pip and Josh getting cars: Josh didn't. Ruth didn't even bother to be there for his birthday, she was too busy clearing Heather's house while Heather wasn't there to stop her.)

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 13/03/2020 08:26

Thanks, Asking! I hardly dare ask why the energy drink is necessary ...

I wonder if Harrison's discovery might have to do with Roman. I had forgotten until somebody mentioned recently that many weeks ago he went off to investigate a skip or similar at Home Farm and it sounded a bit odd. I think he's a wrong 'un. However, I see he and Tracy are not in the cast list, so maybe that's less likely. Still no Lynda, I see. Sad

SurpriseSparDay · 13/03/2020 08:54

Thanks, Asking!

Not a spoiler as such but there’s a whole suite of photos of Lynda (+ Robert) doing the rounds of the press. (Have glimpsed Telegraph, Express, Mirror - not necessarily voluntarily. Haven’t noticed any in the papers I actually read, but I may not have been concentrating.)) Looking cosy on a sofa, or outside, though the house and furniture don’t quite meet my expectations of Ambridge Hall.

Dunno what to conclude ...

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 13/03/2020 15:46

Probably that she will die, I suppose.

Oh, and that the editor is getting lots of lovely publicity.

MikeUniformMike · 13/03/2020 18:20

I hadn't thought about newspapers.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 15/03/2020 00:51

Daily Mail Weekend Magazine Archers Update March 15-20
On top of everything else, another crime is reported in Ambridge. Harrison investigates, and finds yet more trouble in Borsetshire’s answer to Sodom and Gomorrah. Will we ever be out of the mire and back to the days when early lambing was Ambridge’s only problem?
Cheer is thin on the ground at the moment, with Ben’s damp squib of a birthday doing little to lift spirits - until Jill and Leonard give the moaning teenager an unexpected present.
Philip and Kirsty do their best to keep calm and carry on, and the stress is building up, and Philip is so desperate he even reaches out to Gavin for help.
Meanwhile, Jolene and Kenton are impressed by an unexpected admission, and Lilian makes one of her suggestions.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 15/03/2020 08:11

Thanks, Asking! I assume by 'crime' we're talking about something more serious than missing bunting? I do miss the scenes in the lambing shed. I used to like those.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 15/03/2020 08:27

BBC teasers for the two weeks after Asking's post above. We can only guess at how much re-writing and re-recording they might have to contemplate given the COVID 19 situation, but FWIW here they are:

22 Mar Philip attempts to keep control and Justin ruffles feathers.
23 Mar Adam puts his foot down and Phoebe is in the mood to celebrate.
24 Mar Kirsty offers her support and the Brookfield youngsters make plans.
25 Mar Robert makes an emotional gesture and there are complications on Ben’s night out.
26 Mar There's an embarrassing encounter for Peggy and Josh is forced to cover.
27 Mar One resident makes a devastating confession and Brian is impressed.

Who's Chloe? Still no Lynda ... Sad Sad But no mention of a funeral either. 🤞

Motoko · 15/03/2020 09:44

And who is Lee Bryce?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 15/03/2020 11:40

Helen's Lee, I suppose.

Motoko · 15/03/2020 13:18

Oh, of course! I'd forgotten about him, and don't remember any reference to his surname.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 15/03/2020 13:55

No mention of Helen in the cast list. I wonder if that's a mistake. If it isn't, could it turn out he's the criminal Harrison is going to confront? Or is it perhaps that Lee is going to work with Lynda as a physio? Hoping against hope it's the latter.

MikeUniformMike · 16/03/2020 12:48

Dr Locke's daughter is called Chloe, but she might be Lee's daughter.
What is Russ's wife's first name?

SurpriseSparDay · 16/03/2020 12:57

Oh - for some reason I thought Chloe was one amongst the group of teenage girls whose names are so often mentioned by Ben.

Unfortunately I suspect Doc Locke’s daughter might be just a bit too young to be one of them. Could be wrong ... Would be clever if they had incorporated her like that, without direct reference, so far, to her dad.
