Not boring to me, Asking! You do it however is easiest for you and we will shower you with gratitude.

MikeUniformMike · 14/12/2019 12:21

Thanks Asking.

Equanimitas · 14/12/2019 14:11

Must admit I like the previews as far in advance as they are available, not limited to a week.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 15/12/2019 14:41

I don't see why we can't have both: that is not incompatible.

This week I have no Radio Times Ambridge Diary -- I think maybe it is not in the bumper double issue? But I do have

Daily Mail Weekend Magazine Archers Update 15th-20th December
The ‘rewilding’ project has got off to a flying start, with villagers turning savage and going at it tooth and claw.
Phoebe tries to mop up the bad blood, but the fur’s flying in Ambridge.
Over at the Aldridges’, Adam finds himself caught up in a family row where things are said that cannot be unsaid.
Frankly,if any of that lot what they truly deserved, they’d all be very sorry indeed.
There’s bother brewing at Brookfield, where Harrison has some bad news to deliver, trouble at the Grundy world of Christmas when the prizes run out, and a clash of antlers at Lower Loxley.
A truly wild Christmas seems in the offing.

I shan't put up the cast list and one liners for 5th-10th January, because others do them that far in advance and I made the conscious decision when I started doing this to gather the whole lot together for each following week rather than throw everything I had in piecemeal.

MollyButton · 15/12/2019 16:27

Harrison delivering bad news - that reminds me of the old days when a policeman called to tell you a relative had died. What is Josh getting up to in Thailand?

TheCraneWife · 19/12/2019 01:59

trouble at the Grundy world of Christmas when the prizes run out

The concept of the Grundy World of Christmas stretches credibility to breaking point.

MissBarbary · 19/12/2019 02:31

One of Jim's ghost stories is E. F. Benson's The Room in the Tower. If the portrait of Lynda is a prop for that (a painting features in it) that's a really nasty thing to do to Lynda.

Equanimitas · 19/12/2019 12:58

Right, current available previews:

19/12: Tom discovers some worrying information and there’s an early Christmas present for Kirsty.
20/12: The noose tightens on David and Will has a confession to make.
21/12: Rex gets an answer and Kenton has another sleepless night.
23/12: It’s Jim’s big night and Jazzer comes to the rescue.
24/12: Tom gets suspicious and Joy makes a guest appearance.
25/12: It’s Christmas day at Bridge Farm and Tom puts his foot in it.
26/12: There's upheaval for The Bull and Kenton makes a mistake.
27/12: Philip gets a shock and Phoebe makes a peace offering.
29/12: There’s trouble at Grey Gables and Pip’s got to make her mind up.
30/12: Lee feels awkward and Justin offers some words of wisdom.
31/12: It’s New Year’s Eve at The Bull and Helen’s dressed to impress.
01/01: Kenton despairs and Jim’s feeling green.
02/01: Kirsty speaks her mind and Phoebe’s feeling low.
03/01: Jazzer gets some shocking news and faces a dilemma.
05/01: There’s a shocking proposal at The Bull and Philip attempts to keep the peace
06/01: Jim struggles with his emotions and Justin knocks heads together
07/01: Lilian has a brainwave and Josh returns to trouble at Brookfield
08/01: Jim’s attitude causes problems and Neil offers some words of advice
09/01 There’s hope on the horizon for Oliver and Jolene has an announcement to make
10/01: Kirsty is bowled over and Alistair is horrified by a controversial plan
12/01: Tom is on more than one mission and Jim remains focussed
13/01: There’s an embarrassing misunderstanding for Alistair and the stress piles on Natasha
14/01: Lilian garners opinion and Ruth looks set to fall at the first hurdle
15/01: Shula is touched by some kind words and David has the rug pulled from under him
16/01: Kate attempts to practice what she preaches and tensions flare amongst the Grey Gables staff
17/01: Alistair shows his support and Lynda makes a stand.

So, Phil not deaded, then.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 19/12/2019 13:38

Defibrillator to be kept at The Bull, Philip having had a heart attack on 27/12 and been saved by paramedics? I may be obsessed but this is very reminiscent of something that happened in our area a few years ago.

10/1 sounds cricket related. Hurdle might be a literal hurdle if we're in for some sort of New Year fitness drive amongst the Ambridge women.

Thanks, Equanimitas!

SurpriseSparDay · 19/12/2019 14:02

So, Phil not deaded, then.

I am mightily disappointed.

But thanks! Star

MikeUniformMike · 19/12/2019 16:15

Wonder how big Batshit's credit card bills are by now?

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 21/12/2019 16:12

Daily Mail Weekend Magazine Archers Update 22nd-27th Dec
In an effort to get through Pat’s Christmas dinner, the Bridge Farm Archers take much drink on board. This leads to a drunken game of charades, a scandalous accusation and a whole new heap of trouble.
Eccles the peacock, meanwhile, could be in lethal trouble as his screeching keeps Kenton awake; Philip’s son, Gavin, brings trouble to the village; and Josh makes a break for the outside world.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 21/12/2019 16:18

Ooooh! Wasn't expecting Gavin to turn up. Thanks, Asking!

Angus Shrimpton ??

Who he?

RamsayBoltonsConscience · 23/12/2019 16:41

Angus Shrimpton is the consultant who is coming to give The Bull a once over. He's Justin's 'friend'.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 23/12/2019 18:35

I would definitely not trust anyone who turned up for a single day and started to tell anyone how to reorganise any club or pub or indeed anything, least of all if the day were one as atypical for a country pub as Boxing Day. It would take several days of observing ordinary everydaytrade, and noting what is happening and where it could perhaps be improved, before anyone who was worth listening to would be prepared to voice an opinion of any sort.

EveryKingdomOfRain · 24/12/2019 00:09

Oh yes thanks. I zoned out of Lillian's wittering.

Where did Lillian get her awful accent from?

Daily Mail Weekend 28th December
At this time of year, Nigel Pargetter's dying scream seems to resound through the attics and chimneys of LoLox and mingle with the winds that howl over the ancient burial mounds on Lakey Hill. Perhaps he is looking for company and is the real cause of the death that brings an outpouring of grief - not all of it genuine - to Ambridge this week.

Have Nigel's cold fingers, which failed to gain a safe hold on the ancestral gutters, also put a curse on Jimus. making te Prof too ill to read any ghost stories in the haunted attics? While the late Mr Pargetter moans and frets, Kirsty moans and frets about Gavin, the 'rewilding' of Ambridge is under threat and Harrison has shocking news.

(I still can't find any spoilers in the RT...)

Equanimitas · 30/12/2019 12:15

"Justin knocks heads together" sounds like with any luck the rewilding bollocks will at least die down soon.

"shocking proposal at The Bull": Angus Shrimpton advises making it into a pole-dancing venue?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 31/12/2019 17:29

Thanks, Asking! It sounds as if the police have tracked down Jim's abuser, or there's some other development in that SL. Oh dear.
