Hah!Grin

A surprise for the Grundys and then tempers flaring? I hope it’s the small fortune Joe has left either Ed or the grandchildren. But no doubt it will all go on a memorial for Nic ...

Thanks Tonnerre!

MikeUniformMike · 11/10/2019 12:44

Elizabeth offers Will a shoulder to cry on and it's soon broadcast on Radio Carter. Poor Lizzie!
Wonder what the shock for Oliver will be, Tracy's saucy nightwear?

MollyButton · 11/10/2019 12:54

The truth about the Church money? Surely Alf will come to the funeral.

BoreOfWhabylon · 11/10/2019 12:56

And who is Jamila?

(Thanks Tonnerre)

MikeUniformMike · 11/10/2019 13:19

Isn't she the therapist?

BoreOfWhabylon · 11/10/2019 13:52

Is she?

MikeUniformMike · 11/10/2019 14:05

Yes. Lizzie's.

BoreOfWhabylon · 11/10/2019 14:07

Of course!

Beveren · 11/10/2019 18:16

I assume all the stuff about Jennifer and Brian relates to Siobhan.

MikeUniformMike · 11/10/2019 18:29

I expect so.b
I think the awkward encounter for Emma will be with Hannible

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 12/10/2019 18:27

Thanks, Tonnerre! Funeral on 21st?

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 15/10/2019 00:39

Thanks, Tonnerre. It's been a bit of a week, and I didn't get a chance to post the spoilers I had.

I can add:
Radio Times Ambridge Diary Oct 13-18
The community is out in force to support the Grundys in the wake of Joe’s death, but will the loss of an Ambridge legend mend fractious relationships? As funeral preparations begin, Clarrie encourages Eddie to contact his ne’er-do-well brother Alf to tell him what’s happened. But can Eddie put aside old animosities and reach out to his sibling in his time of need?
Emma is also in an uncomfortable situation when she tries to pay her respects, while there’s more than one emotional goodbye for Will.
And Ruairi’s emotions come to the fore during a stroll down memory lane with Elizabeth, but he insists he wants to conceal the truth about his feelings from Brian and Jennifer.

and

Daily Mail Weekend Magazine Archers Update Oct 13-18
Olive branches are proffered this week as the Grundys prepare to give poor old Joe a good send-off and Ruairi shares some of his inner turmoil with Elizabeth.
The widow Pargetter hopes to say goodbye to some of her own inner turmoil as she goes to a counselling session that we all listen to, while an ill-advised attempt to contact Alf, one of Ambridge’s many ex-cons, threatens everyone’s peace of mind.
Vince Casey adds to the unease as he sniffs around the village, and Peggy gets another visit from the frightful Joy Horville.
Pigman Neil and Hannah have a spat about swine welfare, while Oliver - who has a bit of a spring in his step thanks to Tracy - attempts to pour oil on troubled waters.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 17/10/2019 15:22

Radio Times 20 - 25 October 2019
The death of a long-standing character may initially feel like an ending, but it can often lead to a new chapter for those left behind. This is certainly the case for the Grundys who, after the loss of Joe, now find a mysterious letter while clearing out his belongings. But is the family prepared for its surprising contents?
We also get more developments in the wake of Hilda's mysterious disappearance. Joy is ingratiating herself at Bridge Farm in a bid to find the fugitive feline, but Tony is secretly hoping that Hilda won't return.
At Greenacres, the pressure is on for Jim as he tries to fulfil a promise to an old friend.

QuaterMiss · 17/10/2019 15:47

a mysterious letter to be found amongst Joe’s things????

Oh my, oh my, oh my ...

Thanks Asking!

Motoko · 17/10/2019 16:12

Thanks Asking.

I wonder if Joe's left them a ton of money?

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 17/10/2019 16:35

I expect he got an idea from Ambridge Extra and they will all have to go to Liverpool.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 17/10/2019 17:00

Thanks, Asking! I see Alan isn't in the cast list so I suspect we're not going to hear much of the funeral service. Mind you, those cast lists aren't always accurate.

Mysterious letter? Hmm

QuaterMiss · 17/10/2019 17:22

🔮 thingummy ...

The Grundys are never, ever, ever
Gonna leave Grange Farm-land.

MikeUniformMike · 17/10/2019 18:24

Thanks Asking.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 18/10/2019 19:18

and now we need to add

Alf Grundy: David Hargreaves

to this week's credits, and probably next week's as well.

I wish they wouldn't miss people out of the credits to give the listeners a surprise.

MollyButton · 19/10/2019 21:53

Well I've been expecting Alf - and the truth of the Church money will come out won't it? And who knows what else.

Madcats · 20/10/2019 16:47

What has happened to the rewilding gang - aren't trustees due a progress report by the end of the week and details of all the land they have secured?

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 20/10/2019 17:30

It's Alf; why would anyone expect the truth about his theft of the village hall refurbishment £400?

Come to that, it's Alf: the funeral is on 8th November, is he expecting the family he habitually steals from to feed and house him for the next three weeks?

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 20/10/2019 17:32

Meanwhile I have been sent yesterday's Mail Spoilers and we must definitely add Alf to next week's cast, by the look of it:

Daily Mail Weekend Magazine Archers Update Oct 20-25
Peggy’s cat, Hilda, is still nowhere to be found this week and, while birds hop around happily and small rodents frisk in the last of the sun’s rays, those humans who have known Hilda’s claws now skip up to Peggy’s door.
Things are not so chirpy over at Grange Farm, where the Grundy grief is all the harder to bear because of an unwelcome visitor, but a clear out of Joe’s belongings unearths a mysterious letter, which will prove quite a distraction.
The Bull, meanwhile, begins an initiative in memory of an old friend, Oliver is chirpier than he’s been for a long time, Elizabeth is on the mend, but David and Adam - worried about Vince Casey - are sunk in gloom.

BoreOfWhabylon · 20/10/2019 19:21

Thanks Asking

I for one want to hear more of Trolley - they are a match made in Heaven!
