And so it continues. We still have one long-term prediction from the start of the last thread that has not yet come to pass - the burning down of Lower Loxley.

But there is still time...

Yet he told Tom and Johnny they couldn't see Henry at the cricket so it seems out of character for him to make any concessions at all. It's more like him to keep turning the screw.
They'd be mad to trust any promise he makes.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 14/06/2016 07:38

More spoilers.

14 June Emma deals with an emergency, and Pat is put out.
15 June Lilian and Kate get down to business, and Rex spends time with Pip....
16 June Phoebe finds solace, and Toby pulls out all the stops.
17 June Reality hits home for the Grundys, and Helen has a moment of happiness....
19 June Henry has a day out, and Anna is frustrated.
20 June Helen takes a call, and Rex goes in search of answers.
21 June Kate needs some help, and Clarrie susses out Joe.
22 June Roy has had enough, and Pip will not be pinned down.
23 June It is time for Josh to face the music, and Pip quizzes Alice.
24 June Pat and Tony have a difficult evening, and Neil makes a decision
26 Jun Pat and Tony need to find the right words, and Adam is ready to spend
27 Jun Neil reaches a decision, and there is big change ahead at Grange Farm.
28 Jun Toby makes an observation, and Rex is apologetic.
29 Jun Anna has a lot on her mind, and Rob makes his situation clear.
30 Jun Kate is feeling the pressure, and Pip learns more about Matthew.
01 Jul Eddie makes his move, and Helen cannot be cheered.

One of these days is my birthday. The characters mentioned for that day would be bottom of my list to feature on My Special Day. Pouting now! Grin

Gruach · 14/06/2016 07:43

"Pip learns more about Matthew"?

Oh noooooo!

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 14/06/2016 07:51

I copied this from a Mustardland forum. The person who posted it speculates that Matthew may be married. Hmm

Gruach · 14/06/2016 08:15

Whereever are they going with this?Confused Unless Pip is pregnant I really cannot see why (presumably) Rex would be digging up incriminating stuff about her ex boyfriend or why we are expected to care. Also I was counting on Toby's murky Brighton hinterland catching up with him. Ah ha! Perhaps Matthew and Toby have a secret seaside love nest.Grin

What's Roy had enough of?GrinHmm Can't be Ambridge - he's the father of an Oxford Archer; he has to stay.

BoreOfWhabylon · 14/06/2016 08:18

Thanks Gasp0

So - Henry's day out - visiting his new school?

And Alice finally reappears!

OP posts:
Gruach · 14/06/2016 08:22

The 19th is a Sunday, so ... perhaps Tony/Tom might take him to visit his new brother? Surely that would be allowed if he doesn't see Helen?

BoreOfWhabylon · 14/06/2016 08:29

Good point.

Gumpendorf · 14/06/2016 08:46

Radio Times 18-24 June.

Pat may be grateful that Jack is being safeguarded in the mother and baby unit, but that doesn't stop Rob pouring poison into Henry's ear when he starts asking why his new brother isn't with them. Get ready for some classic Titchener manipulation as Rob continues to turn Henry against his mother. Helen, meanwhile, is left panicking when she's pressed to remember what happened.

Kate is at her flaky best when her plans for the summer solstice get in the way of Phoebe's revision. And the Ambridge cricket team fails to muster up enough players, and loses to Waterley Cross without a single ball being bowled – and unprecedented event in the village's cricketing history.

SOC has done many dreadful things during his Editorship but this takes the biscuit! Surely the end times are upon us. Shock

Thanks, Gumpendorf. At last somebody is going to force Helen to say what happened.

It's Phoebe's birthday on 28th June, btw. 18 years since she was born in a tepee at Glastonbury and the BBC induced the organisers to announce it on the tannoy so they could edit that into that night's episode! Grin

EasyToEatTiger · 14/06/2016 11:59

Even reading the spoilers, I feel the onset of The Archers Anxiety. I dread the next act of gross stupidity or unpleasantness. The mention of Rob makes me want to run for the hills. I am baffled by the Grundys' living situation and they've had 6 months to think about where they're going to live and actually do something about it, but no, they're just busy wrecking a lot of good will. I am utterly confused by the Helen/Anna relationship. I don't want to be in an enclosed space alone with The Archers. Like an abusive ex partner, I do not want them in my space in any form whatsoever. Fortunately I do not share children with TA, so there is no need for them to spoil my life. Perhaps the lot of them should be banged up and the key thrown away. I continue to work on Freedom From This Ghastly Family!

Gumpendorf · 14/06/2016 13:50

I'm with you on that feeling, Tiger. I can't bear the idea of Rob manipulating Henry. I don't want to listen to child abuse.

Gruach · 14/06/2016 16:49

Long lost returning poster has just made a very interesting point about the potential hostility of the Brookfield hens to the newcomers. But I can't see any spoilers that suggest anything.

Now, Grange Farm. I'd previously assumed that Oliver and Caroline, having decided to divide their time, from now on, between Ambridge and Tuscany, would completely move out of Grange Farm and just keep a suite at Grey Gables. But "big change" suggests something structural. So perhaps they're going to do a Tucker and divvy up the house - leaving the greater part for Ed n Emma and their children.

(I do think it will be very fitting for the older Grundys to move into number 1 The Green. Will should never have kept all the inheritance and Grange Farm is just too much worry for Clarrie. This way they'd be able to spend as much time there as they like - but Joe and Eddie won't be able to gradually destroy the place.)

Gruach · 14/06/2016 19:11

Oh. So he'll spend that Sunday with Rob.

Sad Angry
Gumpendorf · 14/06/2016 22:39

Hmm.. I agree Grauch. Henry has a day out on 19th June. Presumably showing the village what a wonderful father and son relationship they have ahead of FDRA (or whatever). Sad

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 14/06/2016 23:09

But where will the day out be? Standing outside the MBU throwing stones at the windows in an attempt to force Helen to bring Gack Jideon the baby into view?

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 15/06/2016 12:17

I think it'll be viewing the new school, too. And I think that's why Rob wants him on Sunday, not because of Father's Day at all.

AugustaFinkNottle · 15/06/2016 12:53

According to something SOC said about their research into abuse, it's entirely in character for Helen to keep avoiding talking about what happened - and I can well believe it. But surely, given that Anna's such a hotshot DV lawyer, she would know that, and would have advised the solicitors to sort out psychiatric help weeks ago to try to counteract it?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 15/06/2016 12:55

TOTAL TV GUIDE 18 - 24 JUNE 2016

Helen is feeling the pressure as the family court hearing draws near.

Jack is shielded from Rob in the mother and baby unit, but tensions reach boiling point at Blossom Hill Cottage when Henry asks why his baby brother isn't with them.

Kate's summer solstice plans end badly with Phoebe storming out after an argument.

There's trouble at Hollowtree, where Rex has stiff words with Toby over the egg business.

Carol is out of sorts when Jill contacts Anna behind her back.

The cricket team are hit for six when they are unable to field enough players for an important fixture.

TheAntiBoop · 15/06/2016 13:01

I'm almost looking forward to hearing from Kate!!

MrsArthurShappey · 15/06/2016 13:07

Jack is shielded from Rob in the mother and baby unit Shock

Will that be Henry's Day Out? Is that why he's wondering where his brother is? Rob goes up there assuming he can take Gideon Jack only to be thwarted. He then takes the opportunity to 'drip poison in Henry's ear'. "Mummy doesn't want you to meet Gideon" etc.

Ugh

DadDadDad · 15/06/2016 16:47

I was hoping Pat wouldn't capitulate, and Henry's day out would be P and T taking him to meet Jack, but it sounds as if you may be right.

On top of that, Rob will probably tell the court that P and T breached the court's ruling by taking Henry from school on a weekday. Shock

Gumpendorf · 15/06/2016 17:26

Maybe Pat and Tony won't capitulate and they take Henry to see Jack on Sunday. lives in hope

A visit to the school might be a lever to 'persuade' Helen, but I'm not sure how the court would react to boarding school though.

I'm probably reading later spoilers wrongly, but whatever happens it seems not to work out well for Pat and Tone. what a surprise

AugustaFinkNottle · 16/06/2016 00:37

God know I don't want to hear poor Henry being abused again, but if tensions are going to reach boiling point at Blossom Hill Cottage around something he has said, that may well mean Rob doing something horrible to him which with any luck will get out in time for the next Family Court hearing. I can well imagine Rob getting angry because poor Henry wants his Mum.

BlackeyedSusan · 16/06/2016 14:07

with tiger on the ambridge dread and augusta has just made me swear out loud.... by reminding me what a fuck up they are making of the story line...
