And so it continues. We still have one long-term prediction from the start of the last thread that has not yet come to pass - the burning down of Lower Loxley.

But there is still time...

So Tony has just happened to mention to Rob their plans for Sunday. Guess where Henry will be going for his big day out? I don't think Rob could kidnap Gideon, but he is about to ruin Father's Day for Pat & Tony. Tony's stupidity goes from strength to strength.

Stickerrocks · 16/06/2016 19:17

So Tony just happened to tell Rob about their plans for Sunday. Well done that man! Guess where Henry is going for his big day out? I doubt if Rob will kidnap Jack, but he is about to ruin Father's Day for Pat & Tony. Tony's stupidity never ceases to amaze me.

BoreOfWhabylon · 16/06/2016 19:22

Yep.

Maybe that will snap Hellin out of her inertia.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 16/06/2016 19:25

What would be the point of Rob taking Henry to the MBU, though? I thought Helen had to give permission for him to see Jack, and naturally enough hasn't done so.

AugustaFinkNottle · 16/06/2016 19:30

Is the point that Jack won't be in the MBU, he'll be out somewhere with Pat and Tone? No idea how the law works, but I can just see a scenario where Knob lies in wait for them, claiming that Henry was desperate to see Gideon.

Stickerrocks · 16/06/2016 19:34

Helen has to give Jack to Tony and Tony takes him out of the unit to see Pat. Rob can follow Tony, in the same way as he followed Helen on numerous occasions & miraculously appear to meet "my son". My blood is boiling at the thought, especially as Pat & Tony haven't considered discussing the change of arrangements re Henry or the potential risks of telling Rob about their visit with their solicitor.

Gruach · 16/06/2016 19:41

So Kate has invited half of England to her party - and the next day "Roy has had enough"?

Excellent. Thorough telling off for Kate and Phoebe packing her bags. One hopes.

Gruach · 16/06/2016 19:43

I don't even want to think about the sub-EE melodrama they're clearly planning for us. It's just getting silly now.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 16/06/2016 19:45

Oh my, I hadn't thought of any of that. Oh dear oh dear oh dear.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 16/06/2016 20:00

Right, a few moments of deep breathing and I have recovered my equanimity. When are P and T heading off to the MBU? This weekend when they don't have Henry or Saturday 25th when they do?

Radio Times 18-24 June
Pat may be grateful that Jack is being safeguarded in the mother and baby unit, but that doesn't stop Rob pouring poison into Henry's ear when he starts asking why his new brother isn't with them. Get ready for some classic Titchener manipulation as Rob continues to turn Henry against his mother. Helen, meanwhile, is left panicking when she's pressed to remember what happened.

TOTAL TV GUIDE 18 - 24 JUNE 2016
Helen is feeling the pressure as the family court hearing draws near.

Jack is shielded from Rob in the mother and baby unit, but tensions reach boiling point at Blossom Hill Cottage when Henry asks why his baby brother isn't with them.

BBC spoilers
Fri 17 June Reality hits home for the Grundys, and Helen has a moment of happiness....
Sun 19 June (Father's Day) Henry has a day out, and Anna is frustrated.
Mon 20 June Helen takes a call, and Rex goes in search of answers.

Fri 24 June Pat and Tony have a difficult evening, and Neil makes a decision
Sun 26 Jun Pat and Tony need to find the right words, and Adam is ready to spend

Wed 29 Jun Anna has a lot on her mind, and Rob makes his situation clear.

Fri 01 Jul Eddie makes his move, and Helen cannot be cheered.

Some of the Anna stuff might be to do with Carol.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 16/06/2016 20:01

What I meant to say and forgot is that the bits below are the relevant spoilers and I can't tell from any of it if Rob does indeed tail P and T.

Stickerrocks · 16/06/2016 20:13

Half the fun is pouring over every nuance in the spoilers. Pat will go spare if Rob blows her chance to meet Jack.

Gumpendorf · 16/06/2016 20:41

Thanks for posting those Gasp. It's this weekend that Tony and Pat go to the MBU and it doesn't sound like Rob tails them. Which leave open where Henry goes on his day out. Boarding school is still an option maybe?

On Monday, Helen takes a call - I thought she wasn't able to receive calls, only make them?

I'm thinking 24th/26th refer to Henry asking questions about his brother and probably being anti Helen?

Presumably the hearing is at the end of June and Rob gets his way and the right to see Jack ,which is why Helen cannot be cheered.

All very depressing stuff.

EasyToEatTiger · 16/06/2016 22:02

I am so glad I have given up the habit. It all sounds too awful for words. Child abuse, ineptitude, ignorance, stupidity on such a scale that a piece of polystyrene couldn't fathom it. What had once been an entertaining, interesting, engaging part of radio, I fear is now in its death throes. I am bored and so pleased that I no longer am bothered. I have experienced enough in my life to find the whole thing tedious and stupid. Even reading these threads gets my hackles up so I will probably sign off for good soon. Thank you all for your insightful and entertaining posts. This I shall miss!

AugustaFinkNottle · 16/06/2016 22:23

I suppose Helen must at least be allowed to take calls from her lawyers?

Gumpendorf · 16/06/2016 23:36

I don't know Augusta. Didn't she ring Anna back a couple of weeks ago. Confused.

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 17/06/2016 09:01

If it was Anna, I would expect the spoiler to be 'Anna finds it difficult to get through to Helen' or 'Helen won't share her fears with Anna'. 'Takes a call' is so deliberately ambiguous that I think it must be Rob or at least something menacing.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 18/06/2016 07:35

More spoilers. I don't know that it's significant that there are blanks, as that quite often happens. However, it looks like something's going to happen in a couple of weeks - Shula?

Sun 19 June Henry has a day out, and Anna is frustrated.
Mon 20 June Helen takes a call, and Rex goes in search of answers.
Tue 21 June Kate needs some help, and Clarrie susses out Joe.
Wed 22 June Roy has had enough, and Pip will not be pinned down.
Thu 23 June It is time for Josh to face the music, and Pip quizzes Alice.
Fri 24 June Pat and Tony have a difficult evening, and Neil makes a decision

Sun 26 Jun Pat and Tony need to find the right words, and Adam is ready to spend.
Mon 27 Jun Neil reaches a decision, and there is big change ahead at Grange Farm.
Tue 28 Jun Toby makes an observation, and Rex is apologetic.
Wed 29 Jun Anna has a lot on her mind, and Rob makes his situation clear.
Thu 30 Jun Kate is feeling the pressure, and Pip learns more about Matthew.
Fri 01 Jul Eddie makes his move, and Helen cannot be cheered.

Sun 03 Jul Pat and Tony have to change their plans, and Anna needs to make herself scarce.
Mon 04 Jul Carol treats her daughter, and Pip shows she will not be conned.
Tue 05 Jul Kenton gets some shocking news, and Lilian has a birthday offer.
Wed 06 Jul (Contemporary drama in a rural setting.)
Thu 07 Jul Pip makes a suggestion, and Alistair blames himself.
Fri 08 Jul (Contemporary drama in a rural setting).

Gruach · 18/06/2016 08:21

Kenton?

Presumably nothing bad will happen to Jolene? (Though Buffy Davis is very busy these days ...)

So bad news from Australia? Meaning his daughter has to come and live in Ambridge? Or Meriel injured /ill meaning he has to fly out (leaving Jolene and Wayne alone ...)

Thanks Gasp0 Flowers

Gumpendorf · 18/06/2016 09:21

Thanks Gasp. Alistair too. Golly!

BoreOfWhabylon · 18/06/2016 11:15

Wonder if Helln's call is from Knob's solicitor demanding K has access to Giddyjack?

Would explain why Panettone have to change their plans on Sun 3rd when Henwee goes prison- visiting with Knob

OP posts:
AugustaFinkNottle · 18/06/2016 18:27

Knob's solicitor wouldn't be allowed to call Helen direct. If a solicitor knows that his client's opponent has a solicitor, then they can't bypass that solicitor and call the opponent direct.

It sounds like Gaspode could be right about something happening to Shula, given that she's the common denominator between Kenton and Alistair.

Gumpendorf · 18/06/2016 18:48

That sounds very plausible, Augusta. I hadn't made the connection. Something happening to Shula may mean she won't be able to remember the sab incident. How convenient.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 18/06/2016 21:25

On second thoughts, it's Dan I'm worried about. He's on tank exercises at the moment. When he first mooted joining the army, Shula wasn't keen but Alistair thought it was a good idea. So that bit would make sense.

Surely they wouldn't inflict another untimely bereavement on the Archer family? However, it wouldn't surprise me at all if they decided to do a long overdue story on disability. That might bring Shula and Dr Locke closer together again (just like old times, thrown together by Dan's health problems). Hmmmm.

well no abduction last night, but gritting teeth for tonight.
