And so it continues. We still have one long-term prediction from the start of the last thread that has not yet come to pass - the burning down of Lower Loxley.

But there is still time...

Toby still around on 31st May! Bugger.

Thanks, Gump!

TheAntiBoop · 13/05/2017 18:00

New faces at home farm - Kate's kids?

Gruach · 13/05/2017 18:09

Exactly what I was thinking AntiB! Not sure about SA school holiday dates though ...

TheAntiBoop · 13/05/2017 22:55

The school year runs Jan-Dec but I don't know when their holidays are

echt · 14/05/2017 01:01

Will Pip's surprise visitor be that chap she broke her heart over years ago. Someone at college if I remember rightly? I've always thought he'd turn up again.

Gruach · 14/05/2017 07:04

Jude?

Shock
SaraTheFairy · 14/05/2017 16:26

Will Pip's visitor be Matthew? Just heard about the IBR and coming to own up about some massive biosecurity breach he committed? god, I hope not

What role for Lilian now she’s Justin’s fiancee? She’s keen to keep organising his diary, but he’s insisting on hiring a personal assistant. looking at the candidates’ CVs, she realises she has handbags older than most of them.

At Hollowtree, Toby’s torment continues and she now doesn’t see any point in taking care of his appearance. We listeners don’t much care for what he has to say, but at least Pip is showing a glimmer of interest as she congratulates him on his progress with the whole gin thing. Might he win her back?

Finally David is at his exasperated best when Josh fails to turn up for dilating duty. Can he persuade his son to pull his weight at Brookfield?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 17/05/2017 16:08

Dilating duty? The mind boggles!

Re Toby's dishevelled appearance - too much to hope, I suppose, that his self-neglect will lead to a rapid demise.

Thanks, Gump.

Gumpendorf · 17/05/2017 17:08

Silaging duty...... Grin

MrsArthurShappey · 19/05/2017 13:17

'she congratulates him on his progress with the whole gin thing'

God she's a patronising cow Angry

Justin's plans for Berrow Farm are the talk of the Bull, with the rumour mill going into overdrive. Kirsty is adamant that the idea has no place in the village, while Tony is riled by Justin's business proposal. What's the betting he ends up getting burned in the Wicker Man lit by a rabid Linda Snell?

Elsewhere, the single wicket competition once again proves to be a hotbed of seething rivalry and rage – this time, with Anisha and Lily's competitiveness coming to a head. Will they meet one another in the final?

Toby continues to hold out hope of rekindling things with Pip and spots an opportunity at a Young Farmers' event. Will he be able to win her back?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 25/05/2017 08:14

Thanks, Gump! Isn't the idea of an intensive pig unit vs the happy pigs at Bridge Farm just a re-run of the megadairy storyline? I suppose it is at least a farming storyline.

TheAntiBoop · 25/05/2017 08:16

But aren't they looking at totally different markets? Bridge from pigs will be expensive and for those willing to pay more for carefully reared pigs. Justin's pigs will be going into sausages and cheap ready meals.

From the BBC website:

11 June. Bridge Farm's secret is out, and Pip faces difficult questions.
12 June. Pat delivers a telling off, and Lower Loxley's prodigal son returns.
13 June. Lynda has troublesome guests, and Kirsty is keen to recruit.
14 June. Lilian chooses her side, and can Elizabeth see history repeating?
15 June. Tom puts himself forward, and Rex is feeling bold.
16 June. Justin smoothes the way, and Matt sticks his oar in.*

Leonie Snell is listed in the cast.

TheAntiBoop · 26/05/2017 18:02

So what is bridge farms secret?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 26/05/2017 18:08

Something to do with the packhouse? Thanks, Gump!

Gruach · 26/05/2017 23:25

Leonie? Mungo!!! Hurrah - one of my favourite characters.

Thank you Gump.

Gumpendorf · 27/05/2017 09:02

I'm curious about the history that Elizabeth can see repeating itself. Freddie is probably the prodigal son so something there? Or, could it be Fairbrother history - Toby and Lily?

TheAntiBoop · 27/05/2017 09:27

Toby and lily would be gross - isn't she just turned 17?

So Lizzie is angry with Freddie for messing up his resits and he runs off. Was Nigel rubbish at school as well? I want listening back in those days - did he have a wild phase?

Gumpendorf · 27/05/2017 10:09

Nigel was always portrayed as a bit of a dim hooray Henry, so you may be right AntiBoop. I don't quite see Freddie in the same way but Elizabeth might.

Elizabeth was 20 when she was involved with Robin Fairbrother who was 34. Having said that, Lily seems much too clued up to fall for Toby or Rex

MrsArthurShappey · 27/05/2017 11:13

Do we think Freddie is off to the IoW festival with Johnnie? I think the history repeating thing is more likely Lily and Toby than Freddie being a bit dim - Elizabeth wouldn't be bothered by the latter would she? I can't see Toby doing anything with lily, it's probably going to be a crush on her part (she says hopefully!). They are labouring the point that she thinks she's really mature aren't they?

TheAntiBoop · 27/05/2017 13:16

Is iow before he finishes his exams?

mummytime · 30/05/2017 21:19

Iow is in the middle of exam season - I wonder how it affects students on the island.
