And so it continues. We still have one long-term prediction from the start of the last thread that has not yet come to pass - the burning down of Lower Loxley.

But there is still time...

Oh please let the barney at Brookfield not be a non-speaking friend of Ben's! I want hairpulling and shrieking.

Thanks, Gump!

Brian Aldridge – relationship counsellor? Well, we can't say The Archers
doesn't know how to surprise us! Yes, Brian is trying to offer wise words to both Lilian and Justin, and gets caught in the crossfire – a situation that is bound to leave him feeling hot under the cravat.

Eddie is still obsessed with keeping up with the B&B competition from Ambridge Hall. With the Snells offering Mother's Day packages that include aromatherapy treatments, he is in need of a rival promotional strategy. A scalp massage from Joe Grundy, maybe?

Finally, Pip needs to be economical with the truth when discussing last year's profits with her Gran. This could be where Toby's gin finally comes in useful...*

Megatherium · 14/03/2017 09:13

Ooh, I do hope Jill works out the truth about what happened to Pip's profits. That could be the barney at Brookfield?

Gumpendorf · 20/03/2017 16:07

Radio Times
26 March to 31 March

It's Archer v Archer as Tom's anger with the Brookfield contingent boils over when the IBR infection spreads to Bridge Farm. Tony stay stoic, remarking that David isn't the farmer his father was, while Tom vows to make him pay ...

Clarrie, meanwhile, struggles with the complicated breakfast orders at Grange Farm's B&B. Enter Emma to the rescue.

TheAntiBoop · 20/03/2017 18:21

Oh great. Another family feud.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 21/03/2017 20:52

Oh dear. All sounds a bit apocalyptic. Sad

Thanks, Gump.

Gruach · 23/03/2017 14:48

Seriously - more trouble for Bridge Farm? This is getting silly. And I'm sure I've said that before.

TheAntiBoop · 23/03/2017 15:49

It's getting tiresome really

Megatherium · 27/03/2017 11:04

Shall we put money on the barney at Brookfield ending with Pip declaring she can't cope and stomping out in a huff?

BoreOfWhabylon · 27/03/2017 18:52

I do so hope the Brookfield Barney is when they finally twig that the cowplague is ALL PIP'S FAULT.

I also hope that the scales finally fall from D&R's eyes and they realise what a selfish, entitled brat they yave
raised and they cast her out to make her own way in the world.

Whatever happens, it's a dead cert it will end in the way you predict, Megatherium

Radio Times
2 Apr to 7 April

As the full costs of IBR are counted, the mood across the village is tense. David tries to appease people by buying drinks in the Bull, but no one takes up his offer. Joe is soon loudly ranting about Brookfield's history of causing havoc, while – on the doorstep of Grange Farm – Helen and Ruth are facing off over the issue.

Gruach · 27/03/2017 22:45

Oh goodness.

Way too much excitement.

Grin
BoreOfWhabylon · 28/03/2017 14:14

Helen and Ruth face-off?

Will carving knives be involved?

OP posts:
Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 28/03/2017 15:15

Yes, you'd think twice now before pissing Helen off, wouldn't you! Grin

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 28/03/2017 15:16

PS thanks, Gumpendorf!

Gumpendorf · 30/03/2017 09:16

My pleasure, Gasp.

It may or may not be significant that neither the BBC site nor Digiguide have any mini spoilers for the week ending 14 April. Just 'contemporary drama in a rural setting'.Hmm

whataboutbob · 30/03/2017 10:54

Am i alone in thinking that Anesha's absence may not be elderly parent related? Maybe she's realised she's bitten off more than she can chew and has had a breakdown/ done a runner?

Megatherium · 30/03/2017 15:58

I'm wondering whether something unexpected has happened to the actor. They had quite a lot of potential storylines set up for Anisha - the expansion of Alistair's business, the cricket, potential conflicts with the likes of Ed around her getting tougher about outstanding bills, etc - and it's all gone on ice. That seems a lot of scriptwriting trouble to take to drop it all for several weeks.

whataboutbob · 30/03/2017 16:24

Hmmmmm maybe. Or maybe there will be a mental illness storyline around Anesha?

mummytime · 30/03/2017 23:13

Anisha's actress is busy in something apparently (but I can't remember what).

Mootsie · 31/03/2017 09:40

I wish they'd find a different excuse for removing actors from a storyline. Surely in RL people don't re-locate hundreds of miles away from frail, elderly parents if they're the only ones that can support them? We went through all this with Ruth.

And if they do, would they really invest so much into a business/career knowing that they might have to dump it all on an unsuspecting new partner?

Gumpendorf · 31/03/2017 13:28

And an update....

31 Mar. Lilian bares her soul, and there is a barney at Brookfield.

2 April Ed raises a concern, and Josh runs into problems.
3 April Justin aims to please, and Peggy speaks her mind.
4 April. David's plan backfires, and Adam is left in the lurch.
5 April. Emma takes matters into her own hands, and Eddie comes to Rex.
6 April. Ruth regrets what she says, and Harrison tries to make amends.
7 April Lilian gets a window on the past, and Kirsty needs to keep faith

9 April Lilian hopes to get things over quickly, and Kirsty tries something new.
10 April. Brian struggles to keep his cool, and David wants to take the blame.
11 April. Emma adjusts to a new routine, and Ed gets a talking to.
12 April. Harrison offers an olive branch, and Tom thinks it is too late to play nice.
13 April Justin gets an unexpected offer, and it is a busy evening at nets.
14 April. David cannot contain his anger, and Pip is cornered.

TheAntiBoop · 31/03/2017 14:10

Pip is cornered

So she can't have a strop and storm off!!!
