misdee · 03/06/2010 20:54

awww cute boy.

the seats look different. i think the old seats are deeper so give more room

very light buggy. but have been offered a starck so need to sell this one

5inthebed · 03/06/2010 20:55

Chegirl, try looking for a Babystyle prams on Ebay, they sell for about that, and have the metal shopping baskets. My first pram was one of those, loved it!

DS3 is in 18-24 month clothes and is fast outgrowing those.

basl · 03/06/2010 20:59

Yeah you could be right with that misdee.

5in Daniel is in mostly 2/3 but strange today he had on a very soft pair of denim roll up type jeans from adams and they fit him perfectly now they are turned up as shorts. Funny sizing.

Multimummy · 03/06/2010 21:02

LOL Basl - I will use the bee for ages... honest I will - l do lots and lots of walking... a just 2y old (this sunday coming) cannot possibly do 8 miles+ a day no matter how fit (mon-fri) and if we're out all day at weekends he'll need his naps in there too.

Best way to placate DH is to make some money - and lots of it - fast!

Off to list more bits on ebay then...

PS - my sis had the twin nipper with fixed wwheel - used it daily for 6y - when finally tthe back axle snapped! (had done 4 kids and lots of shopping!) It was very light and nice to push.

basl · 03/06/2010 21:09

I need to list things on ebay. I just can't be bothered. I have a huge pile of stuff and i really should get on with it.

basl · 03/06/2010 21:11

I think the sun has made me go pushchair mad just now. I was looking at the nipper and thinking oh that would look lovely with my snunkie blue retro spot buggysnuggle. I don't even need a new pushchair i think i will be dreaming about them tonight.

misdee · 03/06/2010 21:12

it would look lovely with a blue retro spot footmuff...

sal1309 · 03/06/2010 21:16

evening all how are you?

well not much happening my end dd2 now weighs 11 lb.

hope u are all well you have all been talking lots i must try harder to get online as i miss our chats

carrielou2007 · 03/06/2010 21:16

Forgot to say result on the pram shop basl

I love proper prams for babies, silver cross go for silly prices on ebay, exactly the same (though I would say better quality) as M and P yet go much cheaper??

I need to do a big ebay list - free to list on sunday but I tend to do buy it now at price I decide. What price should I do MB for 140/130?? Want it gone without the hassle of posting it, am I brave enough to sell the quest??

I used my bee once for ds, wanted to love it, still very tempted to check out the bee+

maxybrown · 03/06/2010 21:25

oh basl sorry, just saw your "result" post, not been on all day - fab fab fab! yay! Are they sending you a raincover as well? hee hee
I have had 3 silver crosses and most I paid was £75. I had a mamas and papas first but much preferred SC.

hi Sal how is the job going? Are you still busy with the toddler group ?

Thanks Carrie i feel like i have won a mini court case hee hee it's only £30.00 but i feel like i have made my point and as 5in said i know i was not going mad. Oh and Carrie i have been well and truly on the slimming world plan today. Went to brewers fayre for tea tonight and i had gammon steak and asked for potatoes instead of chips. I was desperate to eat the kids chips as they don't like them but the seem to come with everything but i resisted.

FlyMeToDunoon · 03/06/2010 21:25

chegirl also look at the Mamas and papas ultima. Similar style to the silver cross sleepover. I had the older version and loved it. Couldn't sell it for any money and ended up giving it to a charity shop where it sold for £56.
If I was having another baby I would have the Ultima.
Good grief, two glasses of prosecco and I have to re-write every second word.

All this Swift talk makes me soooooo . I am past all that now

sal1309 · 03/06/2010 21:28

basl the job is going fine its nice to get out and have adult conversation plus i love bar work lol only tends to be 1 or 2 shifts a week so its great.
Still busy with toddlers but that beginning to calm down now until it moves later on in the year.
what happened with your pushchair?

basl · 03/06/2010 21:30

mmmmm prosecco i am on the wagon Flyme but boy can i chatter. The swift does look good i have to admit. You get to spend all your pennies on your home now Flyme which i used to do before my pushchair addiction.

FlyMeToDunoon · 03/06/2010 21:34

Not much excitemant in spending on a house where we may not be for long
I loved my pushchair indulgence.

basl · 03/06/2010 21:34

oh i managed to track down a babyjogger classic with the silver wheels which would fit my teeny front door [everyone runs away and screams booooooooring] when it arrived i noticed a few scratches etc and little bits of dirt on the wheels. Nothing major but i could tell and it was in the wrong box. So three phone call later and getting nowhere fast. They decided to send me an email to tell me they just found out it had been set up to show customer so they refunded £30.00 [you can all come back now]
Glad your are enjoying your job sal.

basl · 03/06/2010 21:37

yeah go for it Flyme. Although i think i will still chat on here long after daniel is out of pushchairs.

FlyMeToDunoon · 03/06/2010 21:49

Oh yes. Let's face it I am well past the stage of babies, DD3 is in her quest [sometimes] but this is my favourite place to chat.

maxybrown · 03/06/2010 21:52

oh yes gosh - it isn't much of a pushchair shed anymore - we are all growing up then we will become like advisors to others

chegirlmonkeybutt · 03/06/2010 22:02

Thanks for the tips ladies. I am going cross eyed looking at all the listings on ebay, gumtree and preloved!

Fingers crossed.

I am going to cruise past the charity shop I bought my chicco from. They often have prams there. I bought a M&P blue and orange one (cant think of name). I was v.pleased until I realised its back axle was soooo wide I couldnt get it through my door!

basl · 03/06/2010 22:04

did i hear someone say door?? Did not fit???

maxybrown · 03/06/2010 22:07

don't set her off again ah I don't mean it Basl, you know that

OP posts:
basl · 03/06/2010 22:10

5inthebed · 03/06/2010 22:18
