Oh beach, fab!

My DS2 is 28lb and 15 months eek!

5inthebed · 03/06/2010 18:10

Eek HMG! What size clothes is he in?

carrielou2007 · 03/06/2010 18:46

Basl still hovering over the 'add to basket' button about the swift. Dd'tmake it to Clevedon to look at one, we ended up down the beach again, was gorgous. Have found one with free raincover for 299 which is 100 quid cheaper than anywhere else. Hopefully urban will sell quick on ebay if I price it right as have no box so would be collection only which is always tricky. If I do like it will sell the apples quest.

Ikea, love it, don't go that often though, so easy to spend spend spend in there!!

horsemadgal · 03/06/2010 19:05

I've always fancied a Swift carrielou.

5in, he's in some 12-18 and some 18-24m, he's not huge just sturdy, always been 91 centile for weight and height.

basl · 03/06/2010 19:28

multimummy that is great about the bee+ sure your dh won't mind when it will last so long

5in the beach sounds great how do the kids get on with the sand and sun cream palava ? We tend not to go to beach for that reason but think we are going to have a visit to St Andrews beach as it is only a short drive away. It's the beach they filmed Chariots of fire so daniel can run as far and as fast as he likes

Carrie i am really drawn to the swift and would love a try but i am very happy with my baby jogger. Don't love it because the hood is not here yet and no liner to brighten it up. The swift looks so compact but i did read a review on here that said they felt the baby jogger had a higher back and it sat more upright and the MB was slightly reclined but i still like it. The place you have seen it is it def the 2010 one as i seen a website and some where cheaper because they were 2009 I should not be even looking but i can't help it.

maxybrown · 03/06/2010 19:28

EEk!!!!!!!!!! ha ha ha. James is 25th centile for height and 9th for weight skinny dwarf.

5in I have posted the dungies - sorry for delay we have had even more local post office issues so been waiting for car back so we could go to better one.

Basl and HMG your stuff sent also

I was going to get a Swift until plum MBU came along .

I'm hoping to goto Ikea next week. Well, no good saying hoping, as can drive there myself, lol. But hoping to meet up with hmg?

basl · 03/06/2010 19:31

Thankyou maxy. Got some lovley t shirts to go with the little Green shorts today.

Now i just weighed the giant boy and he is 31 lb and now 22 months but i don't know about centile. Never had him prop weighted for ages.

chegirlmonkeybutt · 03/06/2010 19:45

Please help me.

I think only you can understand

I bought a lovely little Obaby Vintage Cottage Rose stroller for DC5. I do like it but I am yearning for a big boingy pram.

I bought a second hand Chicco Belle Epoch for DC4. It was lovely. It didnt look much but it had fantastic suspension, a great big metal shopping tray, a carry cot and a reversable buggy seat.

I adored it but it fell apart before DC5 came along. Wahhh!

I cannot possibly afford to buy a new 'proper' pram and people keep outbidding me on ebay.

I am getting a bit obessed

I want a nice big pram with a seat attachment (I think they are called 2 in 1s) that faces either way and it must have a metal shopping tray. I want to be able to wheel my new baby down to the market and put my shopping under the pram (also my teeny dog is trained to sit under a pram).

What can I do?

basl · 03/06/2010 20:01

chegir have you tried gumtree or preloved. I have sold a few pushchairs on there. I love that your little dog is trained to sit under the pram.

maxybrown · 03/06/2010 20:02

silvercross sleepover classic. You can often get them for a song - I loved mine, especially for what you want it for chegirl

OP posts:
chegirlmonkeybutt · 03/06/2010 20:17

I knew you would understand, not question, just accept

Just discovered Preloved basl I have signed up for email alerts so fingers crossed.

I will make a note of that maxy. Its good to have a name to look out for.

I am getting so bad I am contemplating a pram shop I know I would hate myself if I spent hundreds on a pram. Besides some of them cost 600 hundred pounds!!

I cant spend that much on a pram for DC5. Mind you he is my last baby.......

misdee · 03/06/2010 20:18

def a silvercross classic sleepover, or emmaljunga.

whast the budget?

maxybrown · 03/06/2010 20:26

yes what's your budget. There are a lot on silver cross on ebay at the minute. Sometimes people won't put sleepver in title though. I have some lovely pics of DS in his somewhere.......sob I would have one now for long walks........in fact I would love proper old silver cross for walks.

OP posts:
basl · 03/06/2010 20:27

Shame as i had bebecar stylo with big bouncy suspension and not metal but large shopping basket, carry cot and seat unit near perfect condition but i have given it to my sister for childminding and it just sits in her garage now till she gets a baby to look after. Try Gumtree as well as it will be local to where you are so you can view it before you buy. It would be great if you found a buggy addict like hggghmm me who looks after their pushchairs as they don't keep them long and sell them for a fraction of the price. Good luck

misdee · 03/06/2010 20:28

i also dream of a silvercross coach pram for bubs.

it would be soooo lovely. (wouldnt fit in my house but hey!

chegirlmonkeybutt · 03/06/2010 20:31

So gumtree is ok? I will give it a look.

Budget? Hmmm. For a really nice 2nd hand I would probably go 60? I really couldnt go more than 200 hundred for new so I doubt I could get anything for that. Prams have got sooo expensive

What is a realistic budget for used and new?

maxybrown · 03/06/2010 20:33

You could possibly get a silver cross sleepover for that. If you can go to £80 then def. You just have to watch and wait!

OP posts:
misdee · 03/06/2010 20:37

only do gumtree if u can collect as a lot of scammers on there.

basl · 03/06/2010 20:40

Oh yes misdee i would agree, although i have paid with paypal and been sent a lovely pushchair before but i would have to agree and go and have a look at it first.

basl · 03/06/2010 20:43

Misdee i have just looked at your nipper for sale and i really can't get over how much bigger it looks than the 360 or is that my imagination. Your dd looks like she has loads of room and is that a cup holder thing on it. I don't need it but that is a bargain for someone.

maxybrown · 03/06/2010 20:46

ooh off to have a nosey

OP posts:
misdee · 03/06/2010 20:46

i think the seat size is the same as a 360, but it has a huuge hood, and loads of leg room. dd3 wears age 5 suff. she likes to curl herself into buggies though and wont sit straight. dd4 looks dinky in it

it pushes with ease with her in it.

maxybrown · 03/06/2010 20:48

nice same as mine but mine was navy. Basl the fixed wheels have the parent console option. They are so light. The hoods ar the same too aren't they misdee?

OP posts:
misdee · 03/06/2010 20:48

yes, it has a parent console. two cupholders, and a little weel for keys and stuff. it should have a lid on the well bit but that broke.
