Morning all.

Bit of a headache this morning. Might be the full bottle of red I had last night. By god I enjoyed it though

How's Daniel this morning?

Any plans for today?

I'm shopping for a dsi with Josh, dh wants to look for a new telly I'm off to a virgin vie party tonight. Bit disappointed I will miss the footie though.

5inthebackofthenet · 12/06/2010 09:39

Oh no Geek! The wine flu seems to be spreading in the pram shed

No plans for today really. Taking DC to the SN toy library and DH going to my mams to watch football tonight. I don't do football.

How is Daniel's hand Basl?

carrielou2007 · 12/06/2010 10:34

Morning

Lovely here, first load of washing almost dried, nice breeze coming in though patio doors. We have my nephews coming over for lunch then to play whilst my sis has her highlights done so dd and I have a yummy lemon drizzle cake cooking, gorgous smell wafting my way.

I want wine but know I would not want to stop at one glass and have to with ds.

5inthe did you imagine me as a glamour-puss I wish, not with my big bum and nose

I'm not bothered about football though I have my red top from Sainsburys with @Englnad' on it and ds is in George flag romper and socks. Dd however is wearing pink dress, shorts and socks and has cake mixture all in her hair

Basl my hair is very thick and curly/wavy. I had it cut just to my shoulders when dd was about 18 months as quicker to GHD but want to grow it again before I get too old to carry off long hair

maxybrown · 12/06/2010 10:42

Basl you can cut my hair please when we meet I HATE goignt o the hair dressers and my hair is like stair rods!
And much darker now too - wold like it bit lighter biut never put anything on my hair in my life so no idea how to do that?
How is Daniel?

I have just ironed James loads of blue for today so just about to re think that....bit more scottish than english DH not into football at all, though we don't mind a bit of world cup. I have an England shirt at my Mum and Dads but I won't get into it for love nor money..

5in, hope you feeling ok

I think I have your headache that you had the other day

OP posts:
FlyMeToDunoon · 12/06/2010 12:13

Ha DDs just come home laden with england flags and stuff. DP got rather stressed when DD1 said she had to watch doctor who and he thought it clashed with the footie.

Didn't buy the p&t classic cos it didn't have the rain covers or cocoon.

basl · 12/06/2010 14:49

Morning all. I have been up all night. Just came down stairs now after going back for an hour. Daniel had a really high temp and did not know what he wanted. We were sat having toast and milk at 4am. [gina would not have approved] He could not get comfy as his arm is till hanging and still no attempt to use it. He does not seem bothered by his arm till he tries to sleep as he can't move about like he normally does.
He seems a lot better now with his cold n cough and dh has had him out for a long walk and to the bakers. He brought me back a baked potatoe with loads of mixed salad and tune it was stunning.

Well my mum is Enlish and my Aunties Husband is so mum is having a little parteeeee tonight as she likes to rub in the fact England are in the world cup and Scotland is not. Should be a laugh as my mum gets so patriotic even though she has lived in Scotland longer than England now. Her accent changes and she goes all yorkshire on us again and without a doubt if England wins she will be in tears and so will my dad but for other reasons

Maxy i will cut your hair no problemo and i can give you some highlights too and then we will slap on some lashes and make up and some high heels and a dress. Maxy Maxy are you still there??????? I know you hate all that and don't blame you it is a bloody curfuffle to be honest. I do love when you here people see their girlfriends for the first time without make up and don't recognize them.

Have great day everyone.

basl · 12/06/2010 14:52

oh and Flyme bless you for being in the 40 club. xx

Boy i have a lot to say for myself

Can anyone remembe who was having all the tests again the heart monitor etc Was it Janx i just can't remember the name but was thinking about her while i was wide awake this morning. Hope she is ok?

maxybrown · 12/06/2010 14:58

What you going to do about Daniel then? It's a bit odd him not moving it isn't it? he hasn't done a tendon in or something has he?

heels and a dress.....and make up I think I need to lie down in a dark room

Ooh have a nice party with your Mum

OP posts:
basl · 12/06/2010 15:10

Maxy check out easy jet you could be here by 7 tonight. My mum would love some more supporters.

I think it is tendon or something. I have done that and you just can't move your arm. May take him back up and get it checked.

I have just chased him about the garden trying to cut his hair. "ouch mumy" such a drama. He has one side done and i can't catch him to get the other side

Olivia away camping again with sister. She left last night

FlyMeToDunoon · 12/06/2010 16:28

So tempting to just run away to scotland. However I would rather avoid the football completely. Hope Daniel gets sorted. It doesn't sound right.
Mmmmm carrielou lemon drizzle cake. I should make one. I haven't baked in this oven here.
I've been to town and looked at the P&T, came home had lunch and then walked to homebase and got loads of stuff for the house. Two doormats, a towel rail, a towel ring, two window boxes, compost, tray of lobelia and tray of something red [can't remeber the name] oh and two lampshades. knackered quite tired.
The lampshades are wrong- for lamps not ceiling lights and the towel rail looks massive and awkward.Sigh.

5inthebackofthenet · 12/06/2010 18:14

That'll teach you to go to Homebase Dunoon. You should have gone to Ikea

Basl, I don't live far from Scotland, about 3 hrs drive from Glasgow. I'll be there soon

I have my mam, sister and the devil child over soon . Going to be fun . I've just rustlesd up an emergency bacon quiche because sisters boyfriend is a fat twat and will no doubt expect to be fed. He'll sit there moaning about how he never got an interview for the job DH did, bitter is not the word!

But no football in here, so of that I am glad.

FlyMeToDunoon · 12/06/2010 21:32

The internet is sooooo slow today. I am giving up and off to have a cuppa before CSI.
I am getting an M&P 03 sport in black from samsonthecat
£60 posted. Looks in great condition. Can't wait.
Have a good night everyone.

BexieID · 12/06/2010 22:10

maxy, posted ur bits today inc dvd. Got DP to download it in the end as the dvd recorder didn't record, even though it was recording

GeekOfTheWeek · 13/06/2010 10:48

Morning all.

You survive the night 5in?

I went to a virgin vie party. Didn't really want to but had to iyswim. Wouldn't go again. The stuff is expensive, £11 for a lipgloss. I do spend a lot on makeup but prefer the brands I know. Don't mind paying for ruby&millie, clinique and juicytubes cos I know i love them. Felt ripped off paying for a brand I don't rate.

Going in to town later this afternoon. Think i may indulge in some holiday shopping.

FlyMeToDunoon · 13/06/2010 11:53

Nice here today. I have tidied the garden. It's more of a courtyard really, paved with two small beds in corners. Big shrubs in them and my pots around edges.
I got rid of the sand. I had found half a bag of play sand when we came and the DDs had it on the paving stones but it was a dark colour and they got filthy all the time with it plus it tracks into the house constantly.
Think I may get a little paddling pool out there for them instead. Had a tiny £3.00 from Woolworths a couple of years ago.

GeekOfTheWeek · 13/06/2010 14:27

Is nobody playing?

Where are you all?

5inthebackofthenet · 13/06/2010 15:34

Afternoon everyone

I survived last night. Everyone behaved themselves so it wasn't as bad as I invisaged. Went round my mams for dinner today, roast pork yummy.

FlyMeToDunoon · 13/06/2010 15:52

We are having roast pork and stuffing tonight. mmmmm
Just bought two stokke tripp trapp chairs for a tenner each in the charity furniture shop! One red one blue. Couldn't resist such a bargain although we have a danchair and a red kite one already. They don't have baby bits or cushions but that's fine with me.

maxybrown · 13/06/2010 15:56

ooh Dunoon, your charity shops are fab. Ours are rubbish. They have a toy box in my very local one that usually has about 10 palm size broken toys/cars in for 30p each. When they have about 20 things in it, a sign goes on the door saying no more toys really weird.

We are moving rooms aroud - well have been for 2 days now and so EVERY room in my house is a tip very stressful, stuff everywhere grrrrrrrrrrrr..

OP posts:
FlyMeToDunoon · 13/06/2010 16:15

Oh maxy 'stuff everywhere' sounds very familiar. Today we got a shoe cabinet and will measure for bookshelves at some point hopefully as those boxes are still hanging around.
I am being very lucky with the charity shops recently. After some months of drought.

basl · 13/06/2010 16:16

Good aftenoon all, Had a great night at my mums and Daniel played out in her garden till 9pm as we could not get him to settle down for a sleep. He slept till 10am this morning so we all had a good night. He is moving his arm slightly but no attempt to use his hand at all. I watched him while he is sleeping and he can move around while he is sleeping so really odd. He tucks all his fingers and thumb in like a fist and will not use his hand at all.

Olivia home and shattered, black from head to toe and very tearfull. "I missed you mummy Waaaaaaaaaaahhhhh" "I never want to leave you again Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh" Oh can i go see my grandad? So did not last for long.

Going on train trip with Olivia tomorrow with nursery. Then a visit to new school then i have a visit from the work. Dreading it but i think i will end up just like Olivia today Waaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh and hopefully they won't stay long. H signed off for a while and in a bit of a bad way. So tense in my house just now and it feels like a bit of dark cloud hanging over us. I just wish i could get a break from all the stress. Although good laugh at my mums. My brother in law brought his new partner to mums so was a bit weird i have to say. She looks a bit like my sister. My poor mum was awfull sad looking and not just herself. I tried to make her welcome and very brave i have to say coming into my mums although they have been together for a long time now. The boys are still apart of our lives so we have to adapt.

Maxy my house is a tip and i am not moving rooms Trust my ocd h to get all ill out when the house needs a good all clear up.

basl · 13/06/2010 16:20

Roast pork mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm that would put a smile on my face. I love dinners like that. We just had fajitas but rather have roast pork.

Geek i liked the foot spray from vigin vie. It was foam and crackled and popped on your feet then left then sort of refresh and cool.

FlyMeToDunoon · 13/06/2010 16:38

Oh basl I got the green cream and socks the other day. Keep forgetting to put it on though.
Chin up honey. I keep thinking of that trendy stuff that says 'Keep calm and carry on"
Also Dory in Nemo saying 'just keep swimming, just keep swimming'
Take care my dear.
Hey when is Nicola back?

Divatheshopaholic · 13/06/2010 16:46

FMTD, sounds like fabby find from charity shop. Ours is rubbish, too. Never had great bargain. I tend to buy chick lits only.
Basl, how is Daniel?
Maxy, you got email.

basl · 13/06/2010 16:47

Ahh flyme i was just about to get a discoun from a body shop lady. Glad you got it but yes you must try it. Oh i think i know the trendy stuff is is ahhhhhhhh whats it called. I am not calm now i want to know what it is.
