Oh dear I think Nicola's pics will make me bitter.
Never mind about discount. I can get some on my next pot

basl · 13/06/2010 16:59

I know the villa look out of this world. Are you going anywhere for your hols Flyme?

basl · 13/06/2010 17:01

Oh and i was wondering if you had a go at making any liners with foam yet? I have some fabric and would like a liner for the bjcc and wondered if you fancied a bash. I would pay the going rate and supply the stuff?? I will not be offended if you don't want to

FlyMeToDunoon · 13/06/2010 17:31

Never worked with foam basl and would be a bit nervous. I should find pebbles and ask her because she was going to have a try. Anyone know where pebbles is? is she someone really obvious here, just name changed ?

maxybrown · 13/06/2010 17:50

Well having another break. Am squished at the kitchen table surrounded by washing. We were meant to be having chicken but no chance now so goodness knows what we'll eat. i am starving - I want roast pork too hmph.

I swear it is worse than when we moved, you cannot see any floor in the house, even my front door is completely blocked by a big cupboard

Think Nicola is back today or tomono?

Maxy i hope you get a rest at some point. Sounds like your in a bit of a pickle. What rooms are you shifting about?

Thats ok Flyme wasn't sure if you had a go or not. I just checked with snunkie and they are too busy and chunkle munkle ah well never mind. Not so bothered these days. I will sort something out. Hope you enjoyed the pork everyone!

maxybrown · 13/06/2010 19:29

We are moving James into the "office" and vice versa - but in the mantime getting rid of some of our non match furniture that was given to us (cor we sound like steptoe and son now ) and chucking loads of stuff out so stuff just everywhere. Two big book shelves to sell so had to shove those in our room for now.

Plus we were putting new rail up for James as I got him some Next robot/space things from ebay so he is very very excited about his robot curtains, but they are tab tob so we got him nice wooden pole yesterday, except when DH went to put it up, the wooden batten that was there fell off bringing loads of plaster/wall with it so spent most of the day rectifying that with James whinge whinge whinge whinge bless him.

Waflle waffle waffle!

pebbles is still around, picked up Moonkiss from her on friday.

Me and hmg met up today @ Ikea . They seem to have stopped selling those cheap kids tables & chairs sets . I asked one girl and she said to ask at furniture bit so I asked the lad there and was not overly helpfull without a name for it. There was a table I did really like for £30, so might get it after my holiday. New play kitchen looked good too!

5inthebackofthenet · 13/06/2010 19:59

Evening ladies

What do you all think of the new P&T smart? Not sure on the plasticness of the seat, would definitley need a liner, and at £169 not sure I'd buy one new just to try.

FlyMeToDunoon · 13/06/2010 20:35

Bexie can you ask her to come and talk to me about sewing with foam please
5in that is taking ages to load on my computer but what I saw looked quite interesting. Agree about the liner though. Does it rear face?

FlyMeToDunoon · 13/06/2010 20:37

basl I don't know if we are going away this year. Been so busy moving and not knowing what was happening financially that we haven't organised anything.

janx · 13/06/2010 20:41

Hello all - havn't been on here for ages - have tried reading back through posts - basl hope your little boy is ok and it was me with the heart stuff - that is so sweet you were thinking of me and you don't know me. I am fine - stress did it all I reckon.
My dp has been away for three days and I am so tired - he is back tonight from his weekend away canoeing in hay on wye. I had both the kids in bed with me at 3am - Luka lying on top of me poking me and Frida lying horizontally - I think i had about an inch and no duvet!
Took Luka to watch trains at Kings Cross station - he is obsessed - cries if we pass a train station and don't go in. Sometimes I just get a train two stops and walk home - how mad is that?
btw - I am 100 with not sure what colour hair as I have ben dying it since i was 15...currently redish

Divatheshopaholic · 13/06/2010 20:54

Just got text from Nicola, She just landed and feel freezing.
Its been raining here all evening, and im stting here with fire on.

basl · 13/06/2010 21:23

Flyme you could make a good earner with the liners both Chunkle munkle and Snunkie over booked with too much work. $$$$$$$$$$$$$ me thinks.
Maxy i think my sister may have the ligh shade in the same next space stuff. I will ask her. I helped do up his room. It was blank walls and we got loads of wall stickers with planets and rockets and i spent hours making a design on the walls for him and he loved it. Bet James is so excited.

Janx hiya how are you doing now then? lol at the bed arrangements that sounds like a bad night in my house. How do we put up with it? Well it is great to hear from you xx

Divatheshopaholic · 13/06/2010 21:32

Aww, Janx. Its tiring when kids sleep with you, but its so lovely to feel them and smell them
Ds loves trains, too. His life is all about train, and Thomas the tank engine.

maxybrown · 13/06/2010 21:33

ooh thanks Basl! he is, he couldn't wait to get into bed! It looks fabby so far, even if all of his furniture is mish mash bits, he is happy anyway When I bought the quilt cover and curtains, the woman sent me all the Next robot stickers too. Will have to keep my eyes open for the spaceship ones now.

Come here Diva, we are all boiling

You should go to pickering there is a little trainstation with a real steam train and you get dropped off at a little cafe and then return. We hired a cottage which was part of stainers farm which has all been converted into cottages. 5min to flamingo land and the farm has lovley animals for kids to feed and the owners kids where lovley and the little dogs. We went to Robins hood bay and we used to drive to see Grandma Madge in Sheffield and go to the York Tail museum. Lovely holiday.

FlyMeToDunoon · 13/06/2010 21:51

hey janx. Nice to hear from you.
I did hear a beep earlier maybe Nicola txt me too.
DD3 in bed with us every night and it makes me very tired. She is awake early too and then we often have DD2 in aswell. Then they start fighting and bouncing about. Aaargh.
DDs love trains too and when we pass the station if a train is in we have to stand and watch it. There is a little steam line here too which we have all been on and the nursery does it's annual trip on it to Groombridge.

nicolamumof3 · 13/06/2010 22:48

BexieID · 13/06/2010 22:57

Oh, I been picked to take part in Mumsnet-Appletiser taste test

nicolamumof3 · 13/06/2010 23:05

yes it was amazing the villa was to die for! Weather hit/miss first week but second week v.hot so nice tan and v.relaxed...now back to reality..cases everywhere yuck!

basl · 13/06/2010 23:12

Ooooooh bexie that's great well done. Where do you go for that?

Nicola washing machine going to be going ding dong i think eh. Glad you had a great time that villa certainly was to die for. Did the kids love the pool? Have you got your thermals on now lol. Such a shock when you arrive home.

Flyme i found a lady on ebay does liners and she has a pattern for the classic so that will do i suppose. I still think if you can get pebbles to give you an idea on the foam you could make a few bob

pebbles79 · 13/06/2010 23:38

I'm here but haven't had my sewing machine out for ages so haven't tried anything with the foam yet, I never seem to have enough time to do anything these days.

Have you tried the Moon Kiss yet Bexie, do you like it? It was nice to meet you and Erin is absolutely gorgeous, glad I got to see her .

Basl, Heather at Poshbugs makes foam liners.
