Basl your poor wee man dd has three times dislocated her elbow and it is pitiful to see her poor arm just hanging .

FMTD I had an 03 sport but it was a bit older than the black one, mine was the version before. I really loved it, very easy and light tp push (one finger) but weighs a tons and is a BEAST folded, even with the wheels popped off. They do go very cheap though?? Very like urban detour, my third one was 30 quid with car seat and all access, I sold it for 60

Maxy think you may need to pop to Boots and speak to a pharacist tomorrow about that?? Can be quite tricky if it does not heal as can ulcerate which is not good news at all.

sal1309 · 10/06/2010 20:23

evening all

basl hope ds is ok.

diva i tend to buy my bedding from debenhams or john lewis. not sure what reinforce bedding is.

maxy have you tried compede its really good and might help the wound heal. then once its healed try getting one of them exfoliater things soak your feet and use that every day and then moisturise them. I used to suffer terrible with cracked skin on my feet. I can say virgin vie foot stuff is great.

FlyMeToDunoon · 10/06/2010 20:32

Thanks carrielou. Is it easy to fold?
Maxy I had a split on my foot a while ago. It took weeks to heal and was very painful. I seem to remember just using savlon a lot and trying to keep off it [yeah I know- ha!] Think I put plasters on it too just to protect a bit.
My boobs are like little satsumas

FlyMeToDunoon · 10/06/2010 20:34

Oh and I have bought nice fitted sheets 100% cotton from BHS. Today I got one from M&S reduced to £3.00 but it is 50% polyester.

maxybrown · 10/06/2010 20:46

at dunoons satsumas

we are going swimming tomorrow night so hoping that will make it nice and moist then I can attack it. I have a "slice dead skin of your foot" device - it is just remembering to use it

I will pop into boots tomorrow I think because it just keeps re bleeding - when I am well, you know, walking!!

You ok there Basl with the little man??

Divatheshopaholic · 10/06/2010 20:47

Hope, Basl ds is ok?

basl · 10/06/2010 20:53

Evening, Well back from hospital and no break but he refuses to use his arm or hand at all. Dh said it was like de ja whats it called. My wee man just love him to bits. He is such a tough cookie and not used to seeing him in pain. He keeps taking me to the floor where he fell by saying "mama bye bye" which means come over here and points at the floor then burst into tears. His arm is hanging and he can not move it at all. They said wait till tomorrow and see what happens.

Maxy have your tried the body shop hemp cream. You get a deep treatment that you put on your feet and then a sock and it works wonders. It helps Psoriasis and eczema and the body version works wonders with dry sking and nappy rash. I highly recommend it and you can get tubs of ebay or body shop online. My dh gets hacks in his hands with his job and refused to use anything but i forced him to try this and uses it everynight. Please give it a go.

Bedding i would love new bedding. We are a next bedding family but i have to say i love john lewis [before we had kids and had money]

Pumpkins that reminds me i love pumkin patch clothes. Have you looked for stuff for james from them.

maxybrown · 10/06/2010 20:58

Oh Basl he sounds so sweet. Hope he is ok.

I will try and try that stuff then mrs - as long as I don't have to wear the sock overnight it panicks me a bit that

Yes we have a pumpkin patch in Manchester, quite sweet! Often they have things with camper vans on too

OP posts:
FlyMeToDunoon · 10/06/2010 21:15

oooh I will look at the hemp cream as my feet are looking very dry and I would hate another crack in them.

FlyMeToDunoon · 10/06/2010 21:21

it looks fab bit pricey but worth it?
See the socks are there too.

basl · 10/06/2010 21:25

I swear by it and should have commission like the Aloe vera juice i keep telling everyone to get. Me and my sister get tonns of it. Her kids had really bad skin and it is her best ever cream. We call it green cream because it is a yukky green colour.

Maxy how was your day???

Flyme how is the pushchair hunt going.

Can i warn you all i am on the wine now so sorry in advance if i go on a bit.

maxybrown · 10/06/2010 21:30

do I need the socks then?

Oh no they are £7, I don't [girn] but do i though?

My day was quite nice thank you Basl, had a wine and a vodka and orange with my friend

so I buy the thirsty foot cream do I? (where is the I am a thick emotive)

OP posts:
FlyMeToDunoon · 10/06/2010 21:31

Yay basl I am on the wine too!
Well I put a wanted ad up here and that somsonthecat says she has an 03 sport but has not gotten back with any details yet.Grrrr
Maybe she is off buying one cheap from ebay
I am joking samson.
I have had a cheese string as there is hardly anything else in the house until the shopping is done tomorrow. Quite nice actually.

maxybrown · 10/06/2010 21:31

oh no it says to wear them at night, no socks then eeeeeeeeeekkkkkk

OP posts:
maxybrown · 10/06/2010 21:32

OP posts:
5inthebackofthenet · 10/06/2010 21:35

I have lolvey smooth feet. I don;t use cream or anything though, I just wait til after the bath and then pick the soft thick skin off . But it does work! No hard skin for me!

Glad there is no break Basl, hope his hand feels better soon. Did they xray his wrist as wll? DH broke a small bone in his wrist, and thought he had just sprained it, 8 weeks later he was similar to your DS an when he had it xrayed it was a tiny broken bone. He was in plaster for 6 months!

FlyMeToDunoon · 10/06/2010 21:35

Pimms is the kind of alcoholic drink which slips down so terribly easily and then you wonder why everything is slightly hazy.
I like it
However tonight I am on the red and am off to get some real cheese from the fridge or find something to eat anyways.

maxybrown · 10/06/2010 21:40

I can't do baths either I hate baths in general but I particuarly hate our bath.......long story.

ok boak - my skin is that thick in places I can jab scissors into it or a knife and I cannot feel a thing, it is like a rhino's skin in places A bath would not allow me to pick it off. I just need new feet please if anyone is selling any I can tell you are all picturing how attractive I am.

OP posts:
FlyMeToDunoon · 10/06/2010 21:50

maxy I have a grater type thing which is really good at removing the hard skin.

basl · 10/06/2010 21:57

Girls get the hemp cream honestly. Forget boden or 03 sport. Look after yourselves. Hee hee trying to sound like i don't know what. I am half cut and i am jogging at 6.30am. My Dh and i am calling him that for one day and one day only. I feel sad for him today and i can not change who i am and that is a very loving perosn. He looks broken unlike his sons arm heeee heeee. He brought me back a bottle of wine tonight and told me he would do the night watch with Daniel and that he thanked me so much.He called me an angle sent from Heaven Just not a good looking one eh?
No i get a feeling this man needs a wee help and who better than me. I actually have a huge lump in my throat saying this while a type. Funny wee house i live in.

FlyMeToDunoon · 10/06/2010 22:00

Take care basl my dear. Having had my cheese and refilled my wine glass I am feeling so very tired.......
I expect I will spend the money on hemp cream and socks tomorrow

basl · 10/06/2010 22:10

okay my love have a good night sleep and don't worry about the socks. I just feel like getting the credit card out and sending you all a wee set. Don't worry i won't.

maxybrown · 10/06/2010 22:29

basl, that made me giggle the Boden/03 thing - I WILL get some.......soomish I promise!

I have two skin remover things and both very good. I do believe James ran off with one of them sometime ago so will have to search the Magpies nest My biggest problem of all out of everything is remembering to use the darn things!

Basl I am glad DH is saying these things, a good shake up may do him some good - in a funny kind of way. x

OP posts:
maxybrown · 10/06/2010 22:31

Basl - why is this cheap?

OP posts:
carrielou2007 · 10/06/2010 22:38

Ds finally in his cot and asleep...

Flexitol heel balm is fantastic for cracked heels (rec to me by my chiropodist friend) used by people with diabetes as the have to look after their feet. Not sure about if skin is bleeding though??

03 sport is dead easy to fold, button on the handle, press in and twist and it sort of folds easy peasy. Then flex your muscles to lift the bloomin thing.

Basl what is your hubby after then or maybe he's finally really seeing how bloody lucky he is to have you .
