Wine i hear you say Wine!!!! I am afraid i drink it like orange juice. I love wine but it doesn't love me at the moment. Makes me all melancholy. But if someone was brave enough to say righ Basl you have had enough then yeah i really would love some wine and a meet up NOW.

The two best days out where the 40th birthday one and the shopping trip to glasgow with my best friend. The weather was fab and we sat out in some really trendy little bars and just laughed so much. Much wine consumed but i was in a real good mood. I love the big cities and their fancy wine bars. It's a bit fur coat and no knickers kind of thing because i can't afford to do that but hey only live once.

I seem to have a thing about no knickers. [remember my wedding story and then little james out in the rain story]

lillypie · 10/06/2010 13:48

Just bought tickets for boogie for brizzle look like great fun!

Will definately be wearing knickers though lol

FlyMeToDunoon · 10/06/2010 13:56

Hi, Lillypie your sons are so handsome!
So basl tell me about your M&P three wheeler. Was it an 03 sport? I saw one today and thought it might suit. What is the fold like and does the seat sit upright?
When I visit my friends in Edinburgh we go to have cocktails in fancy bars along George St. Totally not my normal lifestyle, mores the pity.
I have shortish curly/frizzy hair which changes colour thanks to nice n easy but mostly a brown shade. I am a size 10 but with the jelly belly of a woman who has had three children, loves cakes and hates sit ups. Also I have terrible posture so droopy which doesn't help.

lillypie · 10/06/2010 14:06

Thank you FlyMe i think so too

I always liked the look of the 03 but I am told they are really heavy.

basl · 10/06/2010 14:08

Well flyme the 03 sport was very nice and narrow it fit out my door a treat. It is 59cm and the classic is 64cm. Now what put me off was the seat back was not very high but it did sit up straight. It is kind of like a nipper but bigger. There was not a huge lot of room in the hood i felt but i am a bit odd when it comes to pushchairs. You can get them for next to nothing second hand. It was lovley to push but i did notice the wobble handle you mentioned i think about the classic. Here are some pics again to remind you of the giant boy in it.

Love George Street.

basl · 10/06/2010 14:10

Lillypie how old are you ds? Such a gorgeous family.

FlyMeToDunoon · 10/06/2010 14:12

Thanks basl. What was the fold like?
Is this a bargain? He will deliver for free if you do a BIN

basl · 10/06/2010 14:22

I think that is a bargain if it def not been used as you can pic up second hand cheaper. I like the black i have to be honest it was the colour of the pushchair i did not like. I can't remember much about the fold as i only folded it once. Carrie can tell you as she has had one. It was a lot easier to store than the classic oh and it has freedom harness which Daniel loved.

lillypie · 10/06/2010 14:32

My ds1 is 27 on the 20th of this month and ds2 is 25 in Nov.
Saiya my dgd was born the day before my dd's first birthday.Great fun!!

FlyMeToDunoon · 10/06/2010 14:46

They can be friends Lillypie!
Yes I prefer black basl and so much more anonymous. Really much more than I was wanting to pay just tempting because it is nearly new.

lillypie · 10/06/2010 14:54

OH they are great friends already

I can definately recomend an xts this is a different model to mine but looks like a bargain.

basl · 10/06/2010 15:37

shit shit shit n shit. Daniel off to A&E again. He won't sleep and he won't use his hand at all. Cries when he tries to pick something up.

Social Services are going to be paying me a visit if he has broken it again. That boy will not sit still.

horsemadgal · 10/06/2010 16:41

Awww basl hope he's ok wee lamb.
Hopefully social services will just phone. They did with my friend last time her little one ended in A&E.

5inthebackofthenet · 10/06/2010 16:55

Hope your DS is ok Basl.

Liliepie, you have a beautiful family.

FlyMeToDunoon · 10/06/2010 17:08

Poor thing basl. Hope it is ok.
The xts is too big lillypie. I need to be able to take it through a small gate. And I do prefer a swivel wheel. That one looks in great condition doesn't it.

basl · 10/06/2010 17:24

I think the xts looks great but not for your needs Flyme. Mmmm difficult because you don't want to spend a fortune.

Dh just called from A&E and said they have just done an xray and waiting to hear. He was very good and let them twist it but refuses to use the hand. My dh passed over the phone to him and he said Hellooooooo mummy and then started crying when he heard my voice and held his sore hand. So it was such a good thing i never went he seems to be calmer with his dad. Still melts my heart when i think about them being rough in the xray room but dh not shy in coming forward so he will not take any nonsence like the last time they told us it wasn't broken. Fingers xxxxx

maxybrown · 10/06/2010 18:18

Hi all, just been catching up! Oh Basl, I have gone from spitting onto the laptop from your apple and turnip comparison to ooooh for lilypie being so naturally pretty to ohhhhhhhhhhh for Daniel and his little arm!!!

Hope he is ok, have you heard anymore?

My two boys asleep on the settees so having a bit of peace.

Well I am 4ft 11 - AND A HALF (officially a pygmy ) have calfs to match Basl's and currently am rather round - so in a nutchell short and dunpy/fat blonde very straight very fine hair though gone loads darker since I had James, weirdly.
Oh and if we are likening parts of our bodies to vegetables then I'd say my boobs are like massive pumpkins nice......

Anyway - I have a really deep (now) slit on the back of my heel vertically. It is about 3/4 of an inch long now and very sore, just from my feet being really dry I had it last year but it heeled quite quickly - do you think sudacrem will be ok on it? Have been trying to soften my skin but quite hard to do. sorry if that was all a bit yak?

OP posts:
roastedfox · 10/06/2010 18:43

maxy i tend to get sore heels in the summer from living in flipflops everyday. try a cracked heel cream, don't think sudocrem will work very well.
just chuckling about how we think people look

maxybrown · 10/06/2010 18:51

already have a cracked heel cream - two actually, it is like it has been sliced open with a knife, it is wuite deep and bleeds iften when i walk now - sudocrem is and antisceptic healing cream so thought it may help the slit to heal then I can soften the skin with other cream maybe?

OP posts:
roastedfox · 10/06/2010 19:21

i don't know, i had sore hands and thought it would help, it just made them feel like they were on fire, i washed it off pretty quick! loads and loads of cream works for me, smoother them in it at night before going to sleep and putting i think cotton socks on is supposed to help after but may be too warm for that

Divatheshopaholic · 10/06/2010 19:35

Oh Basl, Hope ds is ok. Poor little man.
Maxy,i use soap& glory heel genius.
People were do you buy your bedding from, i tend to buy next, but they arent that great. also from debenhams. Wnat to try something else, need extra bedding for caravan. What is reinforce bedding?

maxybrown · 10/06/2010 19:52

It is so deep and split that I think it needs some sort of antisceptic though, will try germolene i think - there is no way in this world could I wear socks to bed and survive I can't even do it in winter, I get too hot - I would go bare foot all the time if I could.

Diva can't help on the bedding front I'm afraid - haven't bought bedding for about 7 years we have to make do with what we have - but it is all clean honestly

OP posts:
Divatheshopaholic · 10/06/2010 19:56

Lol, Maxy. We have some that 8 years old from Dorma, going strong. Makes me believe good quality stuff lasts. The Next ones are need replacing, me thinks.

maxybrown · 10/06/2010 19:59

I haven't bought bedding since I left my ex and that was one lot so most of it is older than that - but Ikea, proper cotton and lovely. I do long for some new bedding. When we finally decorate our room (we have at leat finally removed the tweenies lampshade that was left up when we bought the house ) I will get new bedding - but will go back to ikea for sure.

OP posts:
maxybrown · 10/06/2010 20:00
