So which three wheeler should I get then. Needs to either fold quickly and easily or be so light I can throw it over the gate of the park. Don't want to spend a lot and I don't need any exciting features just a nice easy push.

basl · 09/06/2010 11:34

could you go with a pink one? The one dis is selling for £100. Same as mine but pink.

What about the slalom sal has on offer. That is light i think.

FlyMeToDunoon · 09/06/2010 11:39

Think dis has sold hers now and anyway pink not for me. I need discreet as all my friends will be slagging me off teasing me enough anyways with another pushchair
Might consider sal's slalom. The jane fold is quite simple and quick.

FlyMeToDunoon · 09/06/2010 11:41

Remebered that the jane basket is difficult to get to. hmmmmmmmm Am thinking I would put all the guff we have to carry in a rucksack so could put over the handles.....

basl · 09/06/2010 11:42

I have to say i do like the jane pushchairs. I think there a loads on ebay. I have a jane footmuff and it is fab but never had the pushchair but they look great. How old is you dd again ?

FlyMeToDunoon · 09/06/2010 11:43

eh.....3.8 years

FlyMeToDunoon · 09/06/2010 11:48

Pop hood in machine now and the clunking makes me nervous so I am off to do some housework

basl · 09/06/2010 11:51

Nothing wrong with that if it is raining or she is tired. I don't think. I would love a little push up the road when i am tired.

carrielou2007 · 09/06/2010 12:23

Loving the finding of another buggy FMTD I've had two pops and neither were 'wobbly'?? I love the nice wheels and high handles, I had one in jet (loved it) then one in candy (hated it)

A cheap 3 wheeler on ebay?? Maybe with a fixed front wheel as they are never so popular even though true 3 wheeler off roaders need the fixed wheel. Not sure what 'll do when we no longer need a buggy, I mean, I'll have to CARRY everything??!!

Itching to get my MB and at least if I feel it is too big/bulky I can sell it on for same price then if they still have the bargainous ones get a swift. Maybe

horsemadgal · 09/06/2010 12:30

Flyme, I think the Baby Jogger is easiest folding.
Nipper probably lightest but a pain to fold takes forever!
The Powertrack and Dakar are lighter than the Slalom. Dakar usually come up cheap on eBay as no-one heard of them.

5inthebed · 09/06/2010 12:32

Afternoon ladies.

Well done on the weight loss Sal. Hope you get your tooth sorted.

Had an encounter with road rage today. Was taking the DIL (that stands for Dragon In Law) to the doctors (another bug bear) and it is just off the busy High Street up a small alley way. Went to go up, and car coming out, so I tried to reverse but couldn't as queueing traffic behind me so they had to reverse back up into the docs car park. Waved and mouthed thank you to them and parked the car. Next thing I know, the woman from the car ets out and is having a go at me for not acknowledging the fact she reversed, becausee she didn't need to. I hate confrontation, and was quite shaken by it, silly as it seems. Had to go for a brisk walk with DS3 while DIL was in the doctors.

DH just called, he has a job interview at cough Nestles tomorrow! It's nearly double his current salary, so fingers crossed he gets it

maxybrown · 09/06/2010 12:46

well I am soaked. Went to park, fine then the rain started, then I rolled in two lots of dog pooh - yes two, one for each back wheel. so had to stand in the back in the rain hosing it all off, yuck. Dirty people

Anyway, I don't know what to do about the elite. james was the only one in the park with a pushchair and they were all younger than him - granted we live the farthest away I think but I felt a bit silly - plus it makes it worse when all the children are going "what's the little boys name mummy" Mother - "I don't know why don't you ask him" James - gnn gnn gnngnnnn gnnn gnn gnnnn - or something like that. Then I get asked how old he is

Geek _ I am with you on the feeling. Today - in fact this week is a "feel like packing a rucksack and not coming back week" and for no good reason whatsoever

Mmmm coronation chicken mix sandwich for lunch. I don't usually spend money on ready made sandwich fillers but just fancied some coronation chicken. Yummy.
Oh maxy can I send you a >?
Carrie this silver cross...the back wheels are slightly out of line, not straight iyswim and it bumps slightly as it wheels along. Thing is it might feel different when it has some weight in it. Listing it might be tricky when I don't know how ok it is. Will test it later with DD.
I am tending toward a Jane three wheeler atm. The Baby joggers tend to be too expensive for my needs and I am not keen on the Nipper, also think it would not fit my nearly 4 year old in.

maxybrown · 09/06/2010 13:01

thank you. Accepted gratefully.

Agree BJ too expensive for your needs and about the nipper. I keep seeing really cheap Jane pushchairs round and about

5in I hate confrontation too and have burst into tears before now after shouting matches with drivers.

maxybrown · 09/06/2010 13:03

5in are you ok? I am ok at the time of confrontation - tis afterwards I am a blubbering wreck

5inthebed · 09/06/2010 13:06

I was eyeing up a Jane slalom the other week, they look huge. I'd quite like to try one at some point.

Just washing the micralite covers in washing machine. Packing it later and arranging a courier for tomorrow. Feel quite sad letting it go, but will get a superlite at some point. Blue one, DH has promised I can get one.

Oh Maxy, you poor thing. It is really hard hen your DC can't talk. DS2 didn't talk til he was 3 1/2 and was very hard going in social situations.

5inthebed · 09/06/2010 13:07

I am fine, feel a bit blubbery, will probably cry when DH gets home. I am so crap at confrontation, get all red faced and can't answer.

maxybrown · 09/06/2010 13:11

I didn't know that about him 5in? I feel like keeping him locked indoors so no one can laugh at him, more and more people are looking at him when we go out - he is so confident and I really think he thinks he is talking. He doesn't shut up. I know pople think he is weird - even though he looks completely "normal" - whatever normal is

Hi all,
Been out int he morning, what a miserable grey day
Maxy, dont worry about SMOR, Im sure regular people make their mind about her,she did buy loads Boden from me, wondered if they all sold on ebay for profit. I did have loads email from her, too. She seemed geniunely nice and said have daughter who is ill. I sometimes wonder what kind of people sitting behind computer I dont mean you all, please forgive me.
Anyway, what is the topic of the day?

FlyMeToDunoon · 09/06/2010 13:17

I had a slalom and found it too much. Somehow it was fussy. However that was a new one and had padding all over and cushions and what not. An older, well used one may be more me
Very grey here now. I've just put a load in washer of course.

Divatheshopaholic · 09/06/2010 13:18

I love this [http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/REISS-STUNNING-BLUE-LEATHER-HANDBAG-SEASONS-/260613325770?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Wom ensBags&hash=item3cadc3c3ca bag]] I saw it in JL other day, i had urge to hold it and feel it
The price tag was 299.99 I always think good bag is inv estment as i had daughter now
By the way, there is Jane slalom on ebay for local pick up near me, ill go and check again.

5inthebed · 09/06/2010 13:19

He only started talking last year Jan Maxy after some very intense SALT sessions at his SN nursery.

I'm sure James will talk when he is ready. And as for those who ask, you can simply say he has a speech delay.
