Hi diva - got ds(2) the mini one and dd (5)the maxi 2 wheeler one...though me and dp have had a go on dd's as you an adjust it to adult height
Does anyone know where I can get a pair of dungarees for dd - I am fed up of hoiking her trousers up 24/7

carrielou2007 · 28/12/2009 17:48

Ooh, I've bought dd one of the micro (2 wheels at front??) scooters 'from the baby' to say thank you for giving him/her the pram and to encourage dd on playgroup walks. I'm going to try the buggyboard first then hopefully for spring/summer she will scoot!!

Janx I buy trousers for dd with the adjustable button thing inside the waistband as she is so tall her trousers are all too big on the waist if they are the right length. She still can't manage a belt when she needs a wee

janxmas · 28/12/2009 19:06

That's a nice idea - a scooter from the baby.
We have many trousers with adjustable waists but they are pulled in the nth degree that they either look daft or get on dds nerves - she is v skinny

BexieID · 28/12/2009 23:43

Apologies for the delay with news, pix and thank qs. Erin was born on Tuesday 22nd December at 1:55am, weighing 7lb 3oz (big brother Tom was 9lb 2oz). I'm still recovering from a cold and am sure she came when she did as was fed up with mummy coughing, lol. In fact, it was this time last week that I was in the triafe section on a stupid monitor where I had to hold the damn thig on, whilst having contractions! I went from 4-5 cms to 9cms really quick. Poor DP had a haerat attack whilst midwife was getting me G+A (gr8 stuff that, never had time for it with Tom).

I had 2nd degree tear this time (3rd degree with Tom) and am glad I didn't opt for a section. However, my constant coughing made a stitch come undone and its quite painfull. MW said they don't always suture 2nd degree tears and as muscle is not torn it will heal in time

Xmas was weird. PIL wer ill so did xmas day yesterday with them, BIL & SIL. Poor DP was left to cook the turkey! His presents from me haven't turned up from Amazon, although were dispatched on 22nd. He got me a Trollbeads charm bracelet, 3 charms, one of which is inscribed. I'm just so fed up though. Toms been really good. When he and DP came to take us home on wednesday he looked so grown up! Anyone else felt like that with their first?

Nicola, hope Tate had a nice b/day. Think it was today?

Better goto bed before Erin gets me up for a feed!

lillychristmaspuddingandpie · 29/12/2009 00:40

Congratulations Bexie,Erin is a lovely name x

basl · 29/12/2009 01:08

Merry Christmas everyone, things not so good our way still but managed to have a nice christmas. I had eleven people for dinner and i could have seen it far enough. So stressfull but ended up lovley. Nearly lost Daniel over a misunderstanding. I was upstairs dh cooking the dinner parents in and out the back patio doors bringing in some chairs and f/inlaw sitting watching. Well i came downstairs and asked where daniel was and everyone said "i thought he was with you". He had opened front door with grandads walking stick, climed down a step ventured out in bad icy snow and walked a good bit down the street. When i got him he looked so please with himself and looked like a little old man with the stick. All the neighbours were laughing but they had no idea we did not know he had left the house. Back indoors i promply burst into tears and that is kind of how the rest of the afternoon went. Nobody really went out of their way to keep daniel in check while whe served them a lovley dinner. Olivia painted her bedroom with some tacky nailvarnish kit she was given.

BexieID congrats what a lovley lovley name. I must admist i thought olivia was so grown up when she visited me.My two love each other so much so sure Tom will be a great big brother.

Glad to hear everyone doing well and i do miss the chat but still really struggling a bit with depression??? I will hope to catch up more in the New Year xxxxxx

nicolamumof3wisemen · 29/12/2009 09:03

awwww basl how bloody scary! could easily have been a scene at our house that! bloody in laws sat on their backside no one interacting let alone watching over the kids. they often will come up to me whilst im cooking or busy doing something saying i think luka needs changing ("Well do it then!!!") or Tate wants a drink etc etc grrrr. Glad DS was ok tho in the end. Xmas is incredibly stressful as it is im just looking forward to winding down the next couple of days.

Bexie i remember Tate coming in and leaning over the little crib to see Luka he was just 18m old but suddenly my baby was gone and he was already the 'big boy' makes me sad even now!!

maxybrown · 29/12/2009 09:12

Congrats again Bexie, love her name

Oh Basl, I do hope you are ok. I can imagine you must feel like you are in a bubble, either that or wish you were maybe Sending you hugs anyway xx

janxmas · 29/12/2009 10:05

Congratulations Bexie - I love that name

Oh Basl - poor you....what is it with people not wanting to lend a hand?...

any ideas on the dungarees for dd?.
trying to decide what to do today - think we will go to the museum of childhood if it is open though I still havn't managed to get Luka dressed - he just runs off when I try!

maxybrown · 29/12/2009 10:17

Jan, Next often do dungarees for older girls and I'm sure Gap do too. Not sure what size she needs but have def seen age 5 and up on ebay before now! think they are getting harder and harder to find in anything over 18/24. Though I don't think Next's search engine is great either as when I typed in dungarees only girls/baby pairs came up but then I found some shortie boys one searching in another way! Have you typed into google?

carrielou2007 · 29/12/2009 10:28

Morning all.

Huge congratulations Bexie!!

Basl that sounds so stressful for you. I never know whether to leave keys in the lock and worry dd could turn them or put them in key cupboard then worry be scrabbling for them if there was a fire .

See you a bit later on Lillypie

Janx I was going to say Next and also Disney stuff in Matalan, how old is dd?? I might be thinking more dungare dresses rather than trousers though.

5ringinginthenewyear · 29/12/2009 10:36

Hello ladies. Hope you all managed to have a lovely Christmas. Ours was okay, DS2 had a bit og a vomitting bug, although not sure if it was due to ASD as he has a tendancy to make himself vomit if he is in a situation he can't cope with .

Love your name choice Bexie. We need to see a photo though .

I am lusting after a new pram purchase. Whats good in the sales? I fancy an apples Mac although not sure.

Divatheshopaholic · 29/12/2009 10:45

Bexie, congratulations! Erin is beautiful name, we have cousin Erin.
Basl, hope you are ok now. Im sure we all have that at some point. I remember once DD walked out with her friend while i was buckling ds in his pram. They walked up the street for good distance, and when i ran and hold of her hand, i broke on my knees and cried my eyes out i the street. Its quite scary, though.
Micro scooter is definately on the bday list for ds, sounds everyone loved theirs.
We all have lovely cold and coughs for the new year

lillychristmaspuddingandpie · 29/12/2009 11:18

Morning everyone

Basl ds2 once disappeared from a shop,he was only missing for 10 mins but I thought I would die,it is so scary!!

Looking forward to seeing carrielou later, she is dropping off black xt for me

I am going to get dd a mini micro scooter for her birthday but we are flying to Australia for a month on her actual birthday so will wait until we get back.

I just want to say huge congrats to liahgen,I was on a couple of ttc threads with you last year but I have sort of given up.The fact that you have managed to conceive (we are the same age I think) has given me new hope

nicolamumof3wisemen · 29/12/2009 11:43

i fancy apples quest too 5in but kiddicare sold out now

new year new pram

FlyMeToDunoon · 29/12/2009 12:16

Hello Bexie and congrats again. Erin is a lovely name.Doesn't the big brother or sister always look enormous!
Basi I am sorry you are feeling rough. Sounds like a typical family christmas experience really-stress, lounging relatives and general over work for one person.
DD2 went to the park on her own once when she can't have been more than 2. Same scenario when I thought she was upstairs and DP thought she was with me. Luckily a neighbour recognised her and was bringing her back when I met him halfway. She had crossed two roads.
The washing pile here is still huge. Two loads in the tumble drier, two loads on racks drying and a hot wash on the go now.
Horrible rain outside.

lillychristmaspuddingandpie · 29/12/2009 12:21

Carrielou haws just dropped off the xt(she is absolutely blooming )and I love it!!DD is sat in it watching tv,so I think she likes it too!

maxybrown · 29/12/2009 12:26

Oh gawd, don't say new year new pram, panicks me slightly I will NOT!!! I will put all my energy back into clothes I think........(like I ever lost it anyway) but I still find myself wandering over to pram section on ebay - and for what I ask myself!!!!!!!!!

OP posts:
FlyMeToDunoon · 29/12/2009 12:45

OP posts:
FlyMeToDunoon · 29/12/2009 13:38

Nicola'Maclaren'mumof3 with a petite star zia?
No way!

5ringinginthenewyear · 29/12/2009 13:43

Wow that was quick getting rid of the "old" Xt Carrie .

Nicola, you won't like the Zia, they are not the best prams. What colour did you get?

nicolamumof3wisemen · 29/12/2009 14:34

lol!! it was £60 brand new with the footmuff i thought it was rude not to buy it?! who knows i might love it, is it very different to the zapp?

I really want a quest but can't find one cheap enough need a bargain as they were so cheap on kiddicare (cursing myself now for not buying!)
