nicolamumof3wisemen · 22/12/2009 10:26

no more snow here thank goodness its all melting, i wouldn't mind but as a country we just cannot cope with it and its too busy this time of year as it is!

janxmas · 22/12/2009 10:57

Thanks - not married though!...its our first date anniversary. I would like dp to propose - its been 8 years and two children - but he is not showing any signs of getting a ring out of a box

lillychristmaspuddingandpie · 22/12/2009 11:26

Oh Jan me too,I have never wanted to before but I had a lot of crap relationships before I met DP.

We have been together 5 years and I would love to be married but he just doesn't see the need

I hope you and your DP have a lovely evening

nicolamumof3wisemen · 22/12/2009 15:06

oh sorry janx!!

DH never proposed to me...we just kinda decided

just got in been at my friends, then took boys to barbers on way home. So they are all smart now for xmas photies.

off to have my hair cut just as soon as dh home. Can't wait.

janxmas · 22/12/2009 15:35

I have sort of accepted that he isn't going to propose - we have talked about it- but dp thinks we can't afford to. It does slightly annoy me this time of year when we get Chrsitmas cards addressed to us with dps surnname (even from his family!)
I think we should have got married before we had the kids as we definatley had more money, time and energy then

nicolamumof3wisemen · 22/12/2009 15:37

you don't have to spend a fortune tho? I would have been quite happy registry office tbh. DH wanted a big 'do' tho.

janxmas · 22/12/2009 15:42

I don't want a big do and neither does he but he would like to go on a nice holiday afterwards...but there are other priorities like a bigger place to live etc - but I think deep down he is just not that interested...and I am a bit bored of dropping hints and suggesting we do.
How was Luka getting his hair cut btw?. My luka has never had his hair cut and it is looking like it needs it now

5inthesleighbed · 22/12/2009 17:55

ME and DH have been married 8 years. We were going to have a lavish wedding, but then my parents got divorced and didn't want to be in the same room as each other. So I cancelled it all. Decided I wanted to get married regardless, and was married 3 weeks later in the registry office. Didn't tell anyone til after the fact. Was about £300 in total, if that.

WOnder how Bexie is getting on!

maxybrown · 22/12/2009 18:03

Oh 5in my wedding was mega cheap too, fab! Dh has hardly any family and tbh the ones he has are a funny bunch, we had registry office and chinese buffet - Dh's favourite! My wedding dress was made from some expensive material my sister bought years ago for somehting else. In total (inc me and DH) there were 12 of us, it was nice and sweet.

I think in time I would love a big "do" - a party but that is all.

James LOVES having his hair cut! I thought he would be a pain but he almost nods off.

nicolamumof3wisemen · 22/12/2009 20:09

oh luka was a darling having his hair cut its a kind of basin look!! its too gorgeously blond to have it cut any shorter!!

maxybrown · 22/12/2009 20:23

Yes, James' always looks a bit like that too - basiny

OP posts:
5inthesleighbed · 22/12/2009 20:39

I wish my boys had the hair for a basin cut. DS1+3 have curlyish hair and ds2 has straight hair, but hates hairdressers so DH shaves it all off.

nicolamumof3wisemen · 22/12/2009 20:48

only my ds3 has the hair for it, so he has to have it long!!

horsemadgal · 23/12/2009 00:11

Bexie's had her baby.
Baby girl born Tuesday 22nd at 1.55am. 7lb 3oz, no name yet.

Hi ladies, Just a quick question,

I want to get a maclaren quest mod. I have found it on the kiddiecare website for £99 (normally £150) plus free next day delivery.

Shall i buy it today or will it go in the sale after christmas everywhere else for less? It's the 2009 model. I have no idea about push chairs and if they all go in the Jan sales or if they tend to hold their value.

Thank you!

nicolamumof3wisemen · 23/12/2009 10:46

maclarens tend to go on sale when the new ones are comng out, as you may see on kiddicare 2010 designs are coming out £99 is a good price im off to have nosey myself!!

LittleMissBliss · 23/12/2009 11:43

Thanks Nicola. I have placed my order, I thought it was a good price and couldn't see it going that much cheaper anywhere else. It's the cheapest price online.

Yay shiny new pushchair! Do i have to call maclaren for the safety cover things?

nicolamumof3wisemen · 23/12/2009 12:14

yes you will if you want them, enjoy! might just get one too!!!
