I'd say not due to the flowers on the holes........but then my DS can look pretty enough as it is and still at 2.3 get asked if he is a boy a girl though i think he is obviously a boy!

Maxy I'll try and find the meerkat top tomorrow I really couldn't spend £45 on DS's shoes! His last Clarks pair were £22 I think. They just don't last long enough at the mo to spend that much.

5inthesleighbed · 15/12/2009 21:39

Are Kickers big or small sized? Can't remember. Ds2 had a lovely navy pair when he was 1. He has mega skinny feet anyway, so always got smaller than he was.

Nappy, no creche I'm afraid, otherwise I'd not have to rely on my sister. My MIL usually helps out, but she is poorly with shingles and not in the best of help.

maxybrown · 15/12/2009 21:42

Thanks SK would need the top in 18/24 or 2/3 it is short sleeved.

Well a pair of shoes for my DS in clarks now would be £36 plus so not a whole lot different!! Big jump once they get into next size bracket.

5in they are small fitting!

Hi all - I love kickers!
The illnesses are not letting up here - dp finally went to the doctors and he has a lung infection - will it ever end?...both the boys on antibiotics. We are normally pretty healthy...at least me and dd are well. Luka's mouth is so sore he can't eat the chocolate on the advent calender - poor thing he spent all day wanting dp to hold and cuddle him - big proper cuddles. Ok - we have 10 days to get everyone healthy

5inthesleighbed · 15/12/2009 21:52

Oh Jan how awful Hope they get better for Christmas.

So if ds3 is sie 5, should I get him size kickers? He has blocks of wood for feet

nappyaddict · 15/12/2009 22:01

I like these too. Why can't they just be unisex. Why do they have to have stupid little girly details on them

nicolamumof3wisemen · 15/12/2009 22:11

oh Jan wishing your boys better soon.

5in i'd try a 6 on him then.

carrielou2007 · 15/12/2009 22:13

Evening all

Nearly sent myself into labour watching BBC1 Paradox - fan-slippin-tastic!!!

Do none of you have any clarks factory shops near you? We have one and I get a lot of dd's shoes there or we go to their head office in Street, I have never paid more than 20pounds a pair. Went on saturday, bought 2 pairs gorgous boots 12 and 22 pounds and 2 pairs of shoes one pair 10 pounds the other 3 pounds!!

maxybrown · 15/12/2009 22:28

Yes a 6 5in. I find that we always have to skip a size - I mean DS has size 25 Kickers (size 8 they say) but he is 7/7.5 Clarks and the kickers are almost at their end for size. But if i got him a 26/9 in Kickers they would be too big. I always find when he is a half size elsewhere the Kickers only just fit/or too big next size up. if any of that makes any sense?? lol.

Not sure where my nearest clarks factory is, keep meaning to find out but not a big fan of them unfortunately, though if cheap i wouldn't mind

My knee and foot is so so sore today, been in floods so going to bed now to rest it. They had me walking on machine for ages

Night night all.

nicolamumof3wisemen · 15/12/2009 22:33

i don't like clarks either i hate the whole crappy clarks experience tbh. But i couldn't say no to a £14 pair of shoes today

maxybrown · 15/12/2009 22:36

Yes quite Nicola Are they the ones with a bit of elastic on almost? I was in a clarks the other day and would have got him those but didn't have his size. You had them in brown before???

OP posts:
maxybrown · 15/12/2009 22:39

Are they like these?

OP posts:
StrictlyKatty · 16/12/2009 07:51

Oh I was looking at them for DS, he's been a 6.5 since sept so I think he'll be ready for a 7 soon.

We have Clarks outlet here but the shoes are always disgusting

5inthesleighbed · 16/12/2009 08:25

I like those Maxy, very cute. I wanted those for ds3, but in the first shoes, but as usual they didn't have any in his size.

maxybrown · 16/12/2009 08:28

Morning, yes not too bad those. They have them for £14 in sale, if you can get them in the right size lol!

Soooooooooo tired today. last day at toddler group before Christmas, they said they ight do little pass the parcel etc. Let's hope the woman with the children who are allowed to do what they like don't ruin it all Can you tell I'm tired and can't be bothered?

OP posts:
nicolamumof3wisemen · 16/12/2009 08:33

Im ill! can you believe it!! my glands are up and my throat is sore.

Just asked tate why he has different pj bottoms on he said he couldn't get to toilet in time in the night..great!

Yes they are the shoes i got them in brown.

Have a nice day at toddler group snow forecast later and tomorrow

5inthesleighbed · 16/12/2009 08:40

Not again Nicola! Hope you get better in time for Christmas.

Poor Tate, at least he managed to get himself changed.

I got your Christmas card btw. tyvm

Have fun at the party Maxy.

I've got to go to my MIL's to change her curtains and nets, and other stupid jobs she wants me to do.

maxybrown · 16/12/2009 08:44

Oh not again!! My sinus' are prickling - I am trying to ignore it, think it is just tiredness not helping from being up in the night. Oh poor Tate bless him.

Am thinking of nipping into little town before toddler group. need to go to PO and our little one is so stressful. Sometimes at the min they only have 1 member of staff on penny pinching misers....

Snow - yay hope so!! So long as I can get to my appt tomorrow. ONly thing is have just realised will need to leave before half seven to get there, damn, that will be fun and games!

OP posts:
nicolamumof3wisemen · 16/12/2009 08:49

as if you haven't got enough to do 5in, at least i should be glad of small mercies my inlaws are 300 miles away. Got your card too thank you!

Is your mum having DS then maxy?

yaaaayyy for snow i hope so!

maxybrown · 16/12/2009 08:59

OOh yes 5in, grrr, sorry just read that bit how irritating.

No, Nicola, that's what's going to be a nightmare, will prob have to take him. My Mum lives minimum an hours travel by bus away from me plus she takes my Nephew (who should be taking himslef I might add) to school each morning - PLUS she has furniture being delivered tomorrow so it's all a bit higgeldy. She has suggested that I go towards her house, throw James out at bus stop near her then carry on to appt. That is POSS longer but not sure what to do. It will involve 4 buses. yikes. But obv buses will be packed at that time. Thing is if i go and take him going another way, it will still be 3 buses as trains will be too expensive at that time, but one bus will be an hours journey and that particular bus gets packed to the hilt, not nice with a pushchair and tired moany toddler.

oop! Sorry for moaning, just not sure what to do!!

nicolamumof3wisemen · 16/12/2009 09:52

oh no, i once had to take one of the boys or actually think i did it with each of them if i remember to london for a hospital apt. in rush hour once too but turned out easier than i expected. Good luck!

im off for nice deep bath with olbas oil! boys have just had one too and now watching scooby doo.

maxybrown · 16/12/2009 10:34

Thanks! I know this journey very well as was my work journey (hideous) and so know how packed and horrible it is unfortunately. Think I will take the longer route via my Mum's though as should be quieter.

Ooh bath sounds lovely. No way in the world could I have a bath with james around, I'd never relax. A shower is stressful enough last time he was "left" (with DH i might add) our siamese was covered from head to toe in sudacrem

StrictlyKatty · 16/12/2009 10:46

Ok now I getting annoyed.... my JL tree topper arrived broken... bought a new one which they STILL haven't sent and they have lost some of my tree decorations which are now out of stock!

Why does everyone seem to go crazy at Christmas???

I was so organised and now things keep going wrong

Maxy from the 22nd the SK babysitting service will be available in Hale

maxybrown · 16/12/2009 10:51

well if you could just bring that forward sk to the 17th please. would be very useful. If you can be here for about sevenish (am) should be fine lol.

Dh will be home from friday anyway - yay! Actually the 22nd is his birthday!

We've had to take our star off the top of our tree as it is pulling it over
