jan, shop online, its the only way, i've done the majority of mine onlne. Pick somewhere like john lewis where you can get stuff for everyone!!

5in your course sounds really good, i can't believe your sister isn't more supportve shame we aren't closer..

Just got back from Toms carol service in church v.lovely. i feel quite chilled this morning but that will all change!! planning on taking luka into town on train to get new shoes. He's down to one pair of trainers that are too small. i bought him some sheepskn boots, hope they fit!!

oh and just remembered my buggy should be coming today!!

nicolamumof3wisemen · 15/12/2009 11:25

love the ice cream idea yes all that dairy good for them eh?!! at least their bones will be strong.

My 'i' key is bit broken so apologies for any bad spelling!!

Tate is taking those jelly vitamins but they are 3y plus.

janxmas · 15/12/2009 12:26

Thanks dunoon - bought some floradix for us all - but think I will invest in some vitamins. Ice cream idea sounds good - for all of us. Have got a lot of things online, but do like to get some things - am going to pop into covent garden in lunch break and pick up some things.
I need to get dd some more footwar - Luka has two pair of boots and two pairs of shoes so he is well sorted.
Nicola - good luck with the shoe buying!

StrictlyKatty · 15/12/2009 13:54

DS's Thomas Table has arrived! The box is enormous Train set hasn't come though which is odd.

Maxy I meant to say, you'll welcome to have future dibs on the trailor I got DS as a fellow Radio Flyer fan it's this one, not the one with the wood sides that you wanted but still awesome IMO

BexieID · 15/12/2009 14:00

Toms had a b/day party every year. I have invited upto 10 and never got a RSVP back from anyone, and at least 5 would come. Some mums would just text on the day if they couldn't make it. Doesn't help with party bags though!

StrictlyKatty · 15/12/2009 14:52

That's so rude Bexie! I can't believe people text on the day!

nicolamumof3wisemen · 15/12/2009 17:31

Had a good shop with luka he was v.v.good i was amazed! no shoes in Russell & Bromley apart from kickers and i wasn't keen on spending £45 on them for some reason.

In the end i got him some in Clarks £14 in the sale, they are same style as his first ever pair of shoes which he had just over a year ago!!

He then had total meltdown when we got home, foaming at mouth and everything. Refused his roast lamb. He's just sat at table eating it now stone cold saying yummy chicken! The boy is nuts...just like his mother.

DH now working tomorrow but im still taking him by myself to HV.

maxybrown · 15/12/2009 17:44

Ha ha ha ha Nicola, oh my god that could be James. Except he hardky eats at all. Just been having that conversation with my Mum, the child who eats nothing is never ill (touch wood) - I just don't know how he manages it. You can laways get Kickers cheaper than that tbh. These ones we got in Next sale to put back in Feb! Cost £21, or often find people selling them new on ebay cheaper. there are some lovely velcro (shudder) kickers on erm....mandmsports, but I don't think that style is as wide

Well, it is official - I walk like a duck I have to go back on Thursday for my special insoles that are being specially moulded for me - ooooooohhhhhhhhhh!! lol. At a big cost but Hopefully all my pain will stop soon then i will be able to get around faster again and lose some weight - hoorah!! I am having to have one built up as have one leg shorter than the other They filmed me walking with my jeans rolled up above my knees on the treadmill watching my odd body flolloping around That was nice for me to watch back I can tell ye. I am not the huntchback honestly, I have made myself sound great eh?? Good job i can laugh at myself

oh maxy! at least its being sorted tho...

i quite liked the lego kickers but the lady in shop said they aren't as good.

i know i could get the kickers cheaper thats why i left it. Happy with what i've got.

Volo arrived...filthy! it seems tiny compared to xlr but it can stay in car then i'll sell in new year i think.

maxybrown · 15/12/2009 18:32

urgh.......@filfthy. What's the matter with people.

I like the lego kickers too, but something about them just puts me off.....plus fancy a change!! We are all kickered out atm!! Unless I can get a red pair in sale

5inthesleighbed · 15/12/2009 18:38

I want Lego kickers for DS3, hopefully will get enough Christmas money to buy him some in the sales.

Made pasta bake for tea, it was minging. DH went to Mcd's on the way home for the boys instead. No idea where I've gone wrong, as its usually yummy.

nicolamumof3wisemen · 15/12/2009 18:39

yes i love red too.

i know what you mean about kickers ones can't secide if cool or tacky!!

well buggy's all washed now, quite like it

maxybrown · 15/12/2009 18:45

yeah - maybe a bit too novelty for me maybe....just not sure.

They have red kickers in Next catalogue but in the girls section

OP posts:
nicolamumof3wisemen · 15/12/2009 20:32

will watch out for their sale then. All my boys have had red, i used to have them when i was little too!

Im fuming bloody inlaws just called. Going on about luka terry's obv said something to them they are now making him out to be a right problem child. plus i've just spent half a sodding hour wrapping THEIR presents to THEIR grandchildren. oh and their uncles!! he's just as bloody bad grrrrrrr! And.....breathe!

StrictlyKatty · 15/12/2009 20:45

DH would love DS to have Lego kickers but they are just so expensive

nappyaddict · 15/12/2009 20:48

The Next ones are Lego ones as well aren't they? Do you think they will go in the sales? I wasn't sure if they would not being proper Next stock.

maxybrown · 15/12/2009 20:49

Oh gawd Nicola - forget it, I know it's hard - but BLOODY INLAWS!!!

I had red kickers too when I was younger

SK, you can get them for £45 or sometimes less and tbh a pair of shoes for DS now would be getting on for £40 in clarks(sudder)/startrite so not much more really. Though I think I still prefer the traditional type. They are quite wide fitting though kickers SK, hence perfect for DS!!

OP posts:
maxybrown · 15/12/2009 20:50

No Nappy they have plain red in Next but pretty much sold out already. I got kickers in sale from next before

OP posts:
nappyaddict · 15/12/2009 21:03

Oh I was on about the blue ones. I wish they did the red patent ones in kids sizes.

nappyaddict · 15/12/2009 21:09

5in Where we are they provide a creche for the earlybird courses, don't they do that buy you?

If your niece is off school sick they should do what every other parent has to do and take a day off work. Why should you have a sick child around your own boys who then might get it? And if her mum finishes at 3 then the Dad wouldn't even have to stop work for long to look after her until her mum got back and could take over. You were mad to agree to it in the first place!

maxybrown · 15/12/2009 21:10

They used to nappy?

OP posts:
nappyaddict · 15/12/2009 21:10

Oh and bexie, that's why you shouldn't bother with party bags What's wrong with just taking a bit of cake home like we did I say.

nicolamumof3wisemen · 15/12/2009 21:13

yes next always have the brands in the sale too..

maxybrown · 15/12/2009 21:21

Talking of Next, was in there today and saw the most fabulous Meerkat T shirt. If anyone sees it and fancies picking it up for me I would be eternally grateful pretty please. It is blue with a meerkat on saying what you looking at. DS is meerkat mad but they only had it in age 4/5 and 6/9 months and can't see it online was only £4 too.

OP posts:
nappyaddict · 15/12/2009 21:24

Oh that's annoying. I looked in Next but could only see the patent ones in the ladies section. I got his last red patent ones online for £34.99 Do you lot think these are OK for a boy or not?
