GULP 7am

I just want my decorations! Why can they manage to send the mssive ranger wagon but not the little stars and a tree topper

sweetkitty · 16/12/2009 11:11

hi ladies how you all doing?

Am currently debating between a Dash and a Vibe? What do you think? I do a lot of folding and unfolding in and out the car and will need a pram that folds quite quickly as I will have to do the school run with a newborn and toddler, am thinking Vibe as it folds with double seat on, and getting a Maxi Cosi with adaptors so I could plonk DD3 in the back seat and DB4 in the car seat on the front IYSWIM?

If anyone has any better ideas I'm all ears.

Also on the pushchair theme, I couldn't find my keys this morning (long story) so had to walk to school with my ancient XT and it was SO much better than the Lunamix, only thing it lacks is a bumper bar but DD3 wasn't too bothered and I could always get one of those toy ones couldn't I?

So I have decided to sell the Lunamix so if anyone is after one it's about 9 months old if that, hardly any use, purple hood?

20 weeks already today Bexie when are you due again?

StrictlyKatty · 16/12/2009 11:12

I want a vibe soooooo much

sweetkitty · 16/12/2009 11:14

They are a lot of money though so am a bit but I will have 4 children so need a decent pram???

Hi- Its snowing in London ...am at work - dd has gone to see Room on a Broom with her school - she will be so excited to be out in the snow. Hoepfully my boys are keeping warm. Luka is very clingy atm - I feel bad that I am not able to go home and look after them. Was dropping really heavy hints to my manager about dp having a lung infection - but she wasn't hearing me. 9 days to go

maxybrown · 16/12/2009 11:51

Your manager sounds like a right cow Jan. Hope your boys are ok. Very jealous of the snow.....and room on the broom come to think of it!

It is chucking it down here and I am soooooooooooo fed up. Must be the time to be I reckon

We sold a cd on Amazon and I sat down an hour ago to pack everything up to post and I can't find it anywhere and I mean anywhere. i had it in my hand last week. So I promptly burst into tears. How stupid huh? The i croed because I was cross with myself for crying. stupid stupid girl. Now I haven't packaged anything up, my sinus' are throbbing (again) and we have NOTHING in for lunch. need to leave for toddler group in about an hour and a half. Sorry for moaning.

I like these but they don't do a proper shoe version of it only the cruiser shoes.

horsemadgal · 16/12/2009 13:43

Those shoes are cute nappy.

Talking of Kickers, how do you work out the sizes? Looked out DS1's for DS2 and I can't remember what size they are. They are the only shoes of DS1's that I kept. Velcro navy Kickers (sorry maxy!)

nicolamumof3wisemen · 16/12/2009 14:30

afternoon all, just back from HV's and feel good.

She said it was very difficult to tell whether luka's behaviour was 'normal' for a 2.5yr old or if it could be something else. We chatted for about 40mins tho which was really nice. She watched luka he rolls his eyes right back and won't make eye contact easily wth strangers. He was also whispering all the time.

Said she could refer him to paeds but would rather see how i get on anyway im to keep a dary of all he eats/sleeps and tantrums.

nappyaddict · 16/12/2009 15:00

Diary is a good idea nicola Do you go to a lot of toddler groups with him? With DS once he started at playgroup and socialising with other children I realised that he was different to the other children. I would make notes of how other children his age act and how he acts in comparison. Up until then I'd just thought he was a bit slow. The thing is at such a young age it's so hard to tell whether they are just a difficult toddler or whether they have any SN. IME it's hard to get any investigations started until they are at least 3. Does he speak?

Are you thinking perhaps ADD, ADHD, autism, aspergers, PDD, sensory processing disorder etc?

nicolamumof3wisemen · 16/12/2009 15:12

i really don't know nappy his speech was v.slow but has just started coming on now which is great. HE's v.shy tho which doesn't help.

He goes to nursery 3 mornings a week, and we go to one toddler group on Thursdays.

nappyaddict · 16/12/2009 15:35

Have you asked nursery if they have any concerns? It might be an idea to speak to their SENCO as well.

maxybrown · 16/12/2009 16:10

He sounds painfully shy Nicola bless him. Glad you feel better about it a bit.

Well toddler group was er......urgh! Just me and the witches of eastwick this week. They just sat huddled in a group and ignored their chilren completely. It's a sham as the women who run it are really nice, so I was sat talking with them. Thing is, I don't care if they never talk to me, but can be intimidating for other people joining the group who are shy. I mean today there was only me outside of their group - you'd have thought they would have tried to involve me, I would have if someone else was on their own. They don't even allow any eye contact though so it's not like you could "join" them, not that I'd want to but you get my point? I certainly wouldn't want james behaving like 2 of their kids!!

Thank you, you have been listening to yet another rant form the maxybrown

nicolamumof3wisemen · 16/12/2009 16:14

nappy nursery always say he's been 'fine' but i think if i explain that i have specific concerns they may be a bit forthcoming.

Thats horrible maxy Does ds interact with any of their kids or play by himself?

maxybrown · 16/12/2009 16:21

He does try bless him, he loves other children and so excited about going. But they are horrible. The other children that usually go are nice. Today he was sat at the playdoh table and a boy said to him (he is older than james) in a nice voice "why don't you go and play with the cars yes?" James was all excited, off he went and then the boy said "Hooray, he's gone" little so and so. Today I wanted to come home as I find them so bloody rude. They did a little pass the parcel with them. There were only 4 children there and a baby, james and one boy good as gold, then the girl does just sit there, but these twins (girl and boy) are horrible. They kept trying to grab the parcel off everyone and shouting stop stop. The women who run it are good but at the end of the day they are the parents responsibilty. they didn't even come over to show an interest in what their children were doing. Then they took them into the church and did songs round the tree, was lovely. Til the twins just stood up and started charging round the church screaming......as usual. Grrrrr

oh god nightmare maxy!!

i would have said something to the little darlng!!

StrictlyKatty · 16/12/2009 17:58

That horrid little boy tricking wee James to going away just made me shed a tear! How manipulative

carrielou2007 · 16/12/2009 18:12

Afternoon to all you poorly ladies and little ones hoping it gets better for christmas .

I would have said something as that's me, always have to stick my oar in . Disgusting behaviour from parents. I found reactions from other mum's really shocking when I first had dd, so unfriendly/judgey, it actually made me a bit shy/uncertain for a while.

BexieID · 16/12/2009 18:14

sweetkitty, i'm due xmas day!

Toms not well. Was up half the night with him and half the day, lol. He was complaining of sore head/ear so wasn't at nursery. I was in tears at 5:30 due to lack of sleep, me and Tom in his single bed didn't really work!

FMTD/Diva I will mail you both about the teletubbies bits. Been trying to sort out all my xmas cards now I have Toms nursery photos finally!

maxybrown · 16/12/2009 18:20

Gosh he looks like his Mum!!

Right Pom D'Api shoes are here...........bloomin gorgeous!! thing is, they are only a smidging bit bigger than his Kickers so don't know what to do now waaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh They are so lovely and a bargain. So might just keep them until they really do not fit THEN sell.

OP posts:
sweetkitty · 16/12/2009 18:32

Bexie - I thought it was Xmas day, so do you want to go early or late? Sorry Tom isn't well not what you need really right now.

maxy - urgh cliquey toddler groups, your poor DS, I do know some parents who go there and just ignore their children, I used to go to one and it was awful, these two GPs used to turn up every week, sit and read the papers ignoring the wee boy running amok, they were always trying to dodge paying their £1 and always took loads of cakes home, oh and every week the wee boy was walking out with a toy don't think they were poor as they had a nice car etc just mean.

SantasKinkyKnickers0nMaHead · 16/12/2009 19:10

Hiya everyone, need some quick advice.

I have just bought and paid for a silvercross pram on ebay, and arranged a paid for a courier to collect.

The seller has just informed me that it only comes with the basinette. I have asked her to send my money back then as it didnt say that in the listing.

She is ignoring me.

Am I entitled to my money back with her not correctly listing, or am I doomed to get a buggy I cant even use?>

maxybrown · 16/12/2009 19:20

How did she list it knickers? Which SC is it?
