is it rentabuggy.co.uk knickers?

SantasKinkyKnickers0nMaHead · 12/12/2009 08:39

Yes, thanks for that Nicola, I looked at them last night but it could take up to three weeks delivery and I go away on the 2nd. Just waiting to see if Dis will let me collect her beat.

nicolamumof3wisemen · 12/12/2009 10:10

I would have thought so. if you ring that buggy rental place i wouldn't have thought they actually take that long to send?

carrielou2007 · 12/12/2009 10:16

Morning all

Decided to sell my black xt in a few weeks, dd never goes in it but I use it to lean on and to carry all my food shopping as we walk everywhere.

I was going to pack it away as wouldn't use it for splodge until 11/12 months but by then will sell pliko switch then buy a new black xt.

That means I will only have the bug cam and switch (and zapp chasis in the car) how restrained am I!!!

nicolamumof3wisemen · 12/12/2009 10:20

excellent carrielou!!! v.good girl, you deserve a big piece of cake to celebrate!!

carrielou2007 · 12/12/2009 10:34

I'd prob eat the whole cake making a pear one later, I'm eating anything I can get my hands on at the mo I've put on two and a half stone

nicolamumof3wisemen · 12/12/2009 11:29

oooh how do you make pear cake, sounds scrum my boys love pears too!!

carrielou2007 · 12/12/2009 11:37

I do it like I would do a banana cake - in a load tin, just bog standard 2 eggs, 4 oz butter, 6 oz sugar but only 6 not 8oz flour or goes a bit dry and about 4/5 really ripe mashed pears (or a mixture of fruit depending on what we have overdosed on). You can add sultanas (yuk) or a bit of apple juice to make it more moist. 45 mins at 180 in a loaf tin, sliced it (even better with butter) - yum yum yum!!

nicolamumof3wisemen · 12/12/2009 11:42

that sounds lovely and the banana cake, we never make 'big' cakes just biscuits, muffins and fairy cakes. i will make one now!! how many bananas do you usually put in? about the same? oooh yum, getting hungry now!

carrielou2007 · 12/12/2009 11:57

Bananas I would put in 3 or even 4 really mushy and 8oz flour. We make at least one a week as dd loves to help, it's so easy, so cheap ad with all stuff you already have. Dd loves stiring the wet stuff before I add the flour. We do all sorts, plums, apples, pears, peaches, apricots whatever we have left that is on the 'turn'. Not made one yet this week as we bought a swiss roll (we do that a lot too) that was only 47p in Morrsisons . They all freeze (easier in slices) well but we tend to have eaten it all in 2 days, nice with custard too when it's cold like now .

nicolamumof3wisemen · 12/12/2009 12:39

yes i was thinking would make a nice sponge pud. im sooo hungry now!! we have pears in but they aren't quite ripe yet, no bananas sadly i will get some!!

StrictlyKatty · 12/12/2009 14:08

Well we bought the Thomas Table and engineers bridge set. Gulp was expensive but I know he'll love it and get so much use out of it. I think ELC love us now!

5inthesleighbed · 12/12/2009 18:50

Mmmmmmm cake!

I've been child free most of this afternoon. Met my friends for coffee (or hot choc in my case) and had a good old chinwag.

DH has ordered a chinese, and waiting or X Factor.

FlyMeToDunoon · 12/12/2009 19:15

I did Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall's pear and almond cake the other day. It is very scrummy and you can use not quite ripe pears. I heat it up again and have as pudding with cream or ice cream.
I love cakes. Very impressed with all the fruit loaves Carrielou.
Had six viewers today. Quite tiring.

nicolamumof3wisemen · 12/12/2009 19:30

ooh i bet dunoon. Cake sounds scrum.

i feel a bit down tonight. Im sick of DH working every bloody w/end. He doesn't understand how much harder it is to have kids at w/end on your own. I find it so much more wearing. Day feels very long, he's home for about 2hrs sat afternoon, but then im left again for tea/tidy up and bedtime routine.

I find it harder as theres no routine of groups, nursery etc. Friends are with their own families and my mum is normally worn out from working so i feel very isolated. Anything like soft play or swimming is more crowded and its hard with two toddlers. Toms often bored.oooooh im a right moaning minnie aren't i. But i am really sick of it.

oh well at least X Factor on now!!

janxmas · 12/12/2009 19:47

Oh Nicola - you are not a moaning minnie - it is really hard at weekends..I find it hard going when dp does a sunday...and I only have two and its not every weekend. Everyone else seems to be with their partners and you have to make an extra effort to think of things to do...big hugs to you. Dp has gone out - his brother and wife are in London for the weekend, but we couldn't get a babysitter so am watching x factor too

nicolamumof3wisemen · 12/12/2009 19:55

yes at least im enjoying dx factor, boys are quiet in bed in between coughing fits and i've got open fire roaring. quite nice now actually.

FlyMeToDunoon · 12/12/2009 20:04

You have my sympathy Nicola. Will DH's hours change at all?
My DP is sulking because he wanted to get a DVD and I wanted to watch CSI. Now we have both had to sit through Strictly and DD1 is now watching XFactor. He also claims I wouldn't let him go out so there is no wine either. Sigh.
DD3 is going through some sort of phase and as well as being quite stroppy during the day resists going to bed for ages, gets up, comes down, demands books, water, cries etc. We are having a fun evening.

nicolamumof3wisemen · 12/12/2009 20:09

it will only change if he changes career. Chefs are needed because people eat out at w/ends. end of. he's been doing it 20yrs so he's used to it. i hate it. Might buy myself something to cheer myself up

5inthesleighbed · 12/12/2009 20:18

God is Nicola moaning again ;)

I know how sick you are Nicola, it's a shame he can't get a job where he only works one day during the weekend . I hated it when DH worked continental shifts, which was 4 12 hour night shifts in a row then 4 days off, it was a killer as he slept during the day and for two days afterwards as well.

I want Olly to win tonight. Have you seen my new name on Facebook Nicola?

nicolamumof3wisemen · 12/12/2009 20:34

oi 5in!!! lol

i hardly ever go on facebook, but i'll have a lookey.
