Morning

That's a bit mean that seller?? Have you already paid as I would pretty much otherwise tell him to stick it when a courier will cost a few pounds.

I'm finally sorting my spare room today (oh joy) as sold my spare double bed yesterday. I now have room around to actually move around three prams, a highchair, two carseats, moses basket, bouncy chair, playmat, christmas presents etc etc to be able to see if I have everything or if I need to go shopping for some last bits

sal1309 · 11/12/2009 09:37

cheers for that guys have emailed him and he said he had made a mistake so is only charging me £7 now thank god lol fingers crossed they arrive in time for xmas.

morning carrie cant be long left for you now? I need to sort my spare room out but we have decided to leave baby sorting till after xmas now.

Need to clean living room/dining room ready for xmas decorations going in. Cleaning the carpets next week while the dogs go to get groomed. I have so much to do and xmas is only 2 weeks away lol

BexieID · 11/12/2009 11:09

2 weeks till due date!

I have nothing for DP for xmas as we were both supposed to be putting towards new fridge/freezer but hes said hes spent £160 on me! It's his b/day mon, but luckily already got him 2 pairs of trainers. Now what do I get him? Could have gone in with his family on a higher capacity Ipod touch if i'd known he was getting me something!

Xbox 360 would be good, but we don't have time to play with other consoles, less time with new baby as well. Could pay for him to goto Silverstone for F1 in July. I'm sure my mum would look after the kids.

5inthesleighbed · 11/12/2009 11:58

Wow BExie, the time has flown! Did you go over with Tom? SIlverstone sounds like a great gift.

nicolamumof3wisemen · 11/12/2009 12:25

That sounds like a lovely present Bexie. i've been out at soft play this morning and had a lovely time got to sit and chat with my friend while tate played with his. And luka was at nursery. Just doing boys lunch then Tates turn for nursery.

nappyaddict · 11/12/2009 13:31

Oh I long to be able to go to soft play and just sit there chatting and drinking coffee.

sal You can get a courier for £3.99 that's a rip off!

nicolamumof3wisemen · 11/12/2009 13:32

yes i know, it is super lovely!! i've waited nearly 4yrs, and we go when all the big kids are at school so its safe for them to play. And i haven't luka to run round after so tbh it is bloody lovely!!

FlyMeToDunoon · 11/12/2009 14:50

Who had a child that loved lemurs? I was in Fenwicks this morning and someone in the queue behind me had a big soft toy one.
Well we are off on the house selling. It is on the market and had viewers today. More booked for Saturday and Sunday. Keeping it tidy will drive me to the edge of a nervous breakdown!

5inthesleighbed · 11/12/2009 17:31

Good luck with selling Dunoon. Fingers crossed for you.

My head is in bits this week. Some bloke claiming against my insurance because ds2 apparently hit his parked car with his door. Not my week

FlyMeToDunoon · 11/12/2009 17:33

Thanks 5in. I hope things get better for you.

nicolamumof3wisemen · 11/12/2009 18:21

oh dear 5in

good luck with the viewings dunoon are you staying in t/wells?

maxybrown · 11/12/2009 18:24

Oh gosh 5in what a pain. Spaces are never big enough eh?

Ooh yes good luck Dunoon!!

We got our tree today - took me an hour to pick it

Has anyone used the collect plus shops to post a pushchair? It says they will send packages less than 10kg which the pulse is but are they strict on dimensions? It says the maximum is 50x30x30cm but a lot of courier services have maximum dimensions and I've never had a problem sending stuff that's over them before as long as they are under the weight limit.

carrielou2007 · 11/12/2009 18:34

Evening all

My stoopid internet playing up again today so had to go to local library (again) to check stuff, working again now for no obvious reason

How much damage could a child cause to a car door?? I do keep hitting other car doors at the moment as had trained dd to get in her seat by herself but as the zafira is higher she needs a bit of a boost and bump gets in the way!! 3 and a half weeks for me to go (but dd was 15 days over) Splodge is so low I am practically wiping him/her on the carpet so who knows...

Softplay is what I hope this maternity leave will be about, sounds lovely. We are members of a lovely play barn so dd will be whizzing down the slides whilst I BF splodge/eat cake etc I hope!!

FlyMeToDunoon · 11/12/2009 18:41

at wiping on the carpet Carrie!
Hope to stay in Twells for a while until we see what dp is going to do. Going to rent for a while.

5inthesleighbed · 11/12/2009 19:11

Can't believe you're nearly due as well Carrie!

I can't believe a 4 year old is capable of damaging a car enough for an insurance claim. The bloke has my DH's number, but he didn't bother calling. I'd have happily given him the £15 for a bottle of that wax stuff. Wanker . Luckily it won't affect my DH's 6 years no claim . I'd only been driving 4 weeks when it happened, and it was the first time I'd parked at a busy car park as well.

Divatheshopaholic · 11/12/2009 20:15

Bexie Your inbox is full hunnie.

BexieID · 11/12/2009 21:10

5in, Tom was 6 days late. Can't believe the insurance claim.

FMTD, Tom is the Lemur boy, lol. Have got him 2 more since, but he prefers his original one, lol. Will have to get a spare. Oh, can I have the Teletubby beanie if you still have it please?

Diva, let me know how much post will be on yours please.

janxmas · 11/12/2009 21:14

Evening all
Dunoon - hope the viewings go well - i can't imagine keeping the place spick and span for buyers - you must be knackered.
We are getting our tree tomorrow - dd will be beside herself with excitment. Am expecting a lot of bauble pulling and fiddling from ds.
One of my best friends (who I met through mn 5 years ago)is emigrating for 2 years to OZ - am seeing her tomorrow - can't believe she is going - our dcs have grown up together - see her every week.

janxmas · 11/12/2009 21:15

Oh missed the bit about the car insurance claim - that is crazy - poor you 5in

maxybrown · 11/12/2009 21:17

Oh Jan must be sad for you. I am going to take pics of those tops for you and will email them

OP posts:
janxmas · 11/12/2009 21:20

Well am really pleased for her - her hubby is Australian and its a great opportunity to try it out there while the boys are young enough with school etc and coming back....however I will really miss her as we get on really well and its not that easy making friends.

SantasKinkyKnickers0nMaHead · 11/12/2009 21:41

Hiya everyone,

I can remember someone a while ago recommending a pram hire place online, can anyone remember what it was called please?

FlyMeToDunoon · 11/12/2009 21:54

Bexie that looks like the same lemur. Can I tell you postage for LaLa tomorrow please? Email me your address to [email protected]

BexieID · 11/12/2009 22:12

FMTD, will mail you in a bit. You can get a big mahoosive fluffy Lemur like that little one at zoos for about £26. DP talked me out of getting one.
