Thread II.......Oh dear

OP posts:
Guildfordnanny · 19/07/2011 15:13

I would love a big caboose but have no plans for another child. I joked last night that I woukd hop on the back and hubby could push us all! I saw the Ultralite. My issue is that I really want a +one and hubby may well decide the Joovy does the job for less! I have an order..the Duet, then +one, then maybe a Joovy and then a Swift with Freerider. I haven't given up on a Vista yet too....

Tabitha8 · 19/07/2011 15:46

Those Apricas are pretty, but I don't think Amazon will ship them to the UK. They'll ship the more expensive "flat version.
I love the Cadence buggy by Aprica. It comes in a beautiful pink!

Guildfordnanny · 19/07/2011 15:52

Wwwhhhooooooohooooooo! The Duets will be delivered to us at the end of next week :o Hurrah, hurray, hurreeeeee!!!

FriggFRIGG · 19/07/2011 16:34

oh i cant wait to see what you think of the duet!! im a teensy bit more excited about the +One though...when will that arrive?

Guildfordnanny · 19/07/2011 16:41

I have to say I prefer the +one too with my age children although I think the Duet is much much better from newborn. I am a bit worried about whether the Duet seats are too laid back for DD - but then you have the opposite extreme with the +one with seats that are really too upright for DS! I dont think the +one is due until September but I am so muddled with dates for everything and anything right now! I will just be excited to FINALLY be able to drive a side by side into my local supermarket without the whole rigmarole of them having to find a ladder to undo the other half of the split door with 1001 tourists stood on either side of the door trying to come in and out - very embarrassing!

aswellasyou · 19/07/2011 17:14

Tabitha, I went all the way to checkout with the Presto (not Flat) to see how much it was. It didn't say I couldn't have it even though it says in the listing they can't send it. I really like them! I'd like one but I'd only buy a really cheap one at the moment because my list of wants is getting too long!

aswellasyou · 19/07/2011 17:15

Guildford, I hope the Duet lives up to expectations! It feels like an age since I first heard about them coming out.

Guildfordnanny · 19/07/2011 17:24

I hope it does too because I have talked and written enough about how fab it is! I think I may go into hiding and see what everyone's reaction is from afar Wink I also think I need a new name....this one is ancient....and not really relevant. But I am hopeless at choosing names...

Tabitha8 · 19/07/2011 17:32

Aswellas Yes, I see what you mean. Amazon will accept the order until you say ship to the address they have registered for you. Nice buggy, though. Not for sale in the UK, it looks like? Shame.
I also loved the Combi reversible handle strollers. They are not for sale here, either. Hey ho.

MonkeysPunk · 19/07/2011 17:32

ooh guildfordnanny, be sure to update me with your new name if you change...I need to keep up to date with all your buggy info!

aswellasyou · 19/07/2011 17:36

Tabitha, it allowed me to add my shipping address. The total including postage and taxes was £117. Maybe I should have bought it while it was having a blip! I'm definitely keeping an eye out for one-they seem really well made and I like a black chassis.Smile

Guildford, would you make your name BB relevant?

aswellasyou · 19/07/2011 17:52

Damn it. My email to Dorel UK bounced back. I also can't read the Bebe Confort website because I don't have Flash.

Tabitha8 · 19/07/2011 18:18

Who imported the Vista from Amazon? How did you get on with checking the import fees? DHL have told us to call HMRC. Hmm. Not sure what reference we are going to give them.............. Confused

suzie38 · 19/07/2011 18:29

MonkeysPunk i think...I'll be in same boat soon so an answer would be great.

Tabitha8 · 19/07/2011 18:29

Enjoy your Flite!

MonkeysPunk · 19/07/2011 19:00

Dhl told me to call their tax dept! Have nor done yet. Amazon told me do nothing and wait 60 days. I intend to call Dhl.

suzie38 · 19/07/2011 19:06

Hoping it's an improvement on the Quest which i'd sell if it wasn't kept as a spare at my parents house.

suzie38 · 19/07/2011 19:07

Any idea how long it takes to fly from NYC...LAX is 10/11 hours...Wondering if my Flite has landed yet.

aswellasyou · 19/07/2011 19:17

I think it's about 7 hours, although it only took 3 hours when I went on Concorde!Grin [show off]

aswellasyou · 19/07/2011 19:48

Suzie have you seen these bags that go on the side of the Orbit?

FriggFRIGG · 19/07/2011 20:17

those bags are cool....still cant get over the foetal resemblance though Confused

FriggFRIGG · 19/07/2011 20:19

oooh did you goo on Concorde?? my dad helped build it! he got to have a go too! Envy

suzie38 · 19/07/2011 20:28

Cool...When i was a nanny in London i often went to Heathrow to watch the planes...Concorde was amazing...Yes i saw those bags but i've resigned myself to not having an Orbit and if i get a Xari, i don't think i'd better get another big bucks pushchair!!!

suzie38 · 19/07/2011 20:30

Just updated and it landed at EMA at 19.56!!! So not far away now...It'll be going to the Loughborough depot.
