She didn't give me an address, just told me to send a letter to directors office and I stupidly said I would but didn't ask for an address. Will find somewhere to send it to. Might also hound them with emails if I can fidn an email addy of some sort!

My drawers were collected this morning.
I've made my last purchase with them - several pairs of boots for £10 each.
Wont be using them again after they arrive tomorrow.

I'm lost!

Has anyone ACTUALLY recieved their bed...or has everyone just got drawers? Have you kept them or sent them back? What status is everyone at? keep us posted!

Mine still says delivery on 14/8/08 'awaiting stock'.

Well, had delivery of and refused two drawers.....had discussion on phone with catalogue people who said we had contract that they would honour we would get two bedsteads as ordered for the same price as advertised....then received call apologising for mistake. We advised that all was fine as we had been told they would honour our order to which the lady said that another drawer had been ordered and to expect delivery of that. She also gave me an address to write to and complain. That was over a week ago, so no drawers, no beds and possibly another drawer on it's way ...... No, I don't understand either! Am just wondering whether I can be arsed to carry on ringing??!!

i got a letter acknowledging my letter a week ago - rang today - spoke to a woman...

"hmm...so your order was for a drawer..????"

"NO!! NO!! A BED!!! A FECKING BED!!!!"

ok maybe that's not exactly what i said...

but she says she would look into it and call me back...

guess who is hanging on the telephone in a so non-blondie esque way....???

and so on and so forth...

Got my drawer delivered. Took delivery though in case thats part of forming the contract like someone said on here. Shall try ringing them. They have 3 weeks to sort out their mistake - no-one has rung me or cancelled the order as stated in their terms and conditions. Will keep you posted

oh dear god the plot thickens...

spoke to someone in the Director's Office
where my letter of complaint has been forwarded to...

"so, i'll order you your bed at the price currently advertised and discount the £30 you've already paid."

"no. i have ordered a bed advertised at £30. i have paid my £30. i want my bed for £30."

"i don't think i can do that..."

"well, please can you find someone who can."

"...um...leave it with me...someone will contact you next week..."

someone remind me why i'm bothering...

I got delivery of my drawer. Rang consumer direct who said we couldn't really do much. But have e mailed additions instead and my e mail has been passed to directors office who have now asked for a copy of confirmation e mail stating I was getting a bed.

it looks like they're just getting everyone to write in...and then not replying? doesnt sound like anyone has received a bed, or been told they will receive a bed after all? are we being fobbed off??? keep the posts coming...i'm still not due delivery until august.

I e mailed my confirmation. DBM have you not had a phonecall to cancel. apparently they rung me when we were on hols but left no message and then didn't follow their own terms and conditions which is what i have quoted. i have the drawer here and as yet no one has rung to arrange pick up.

Currently on phone, on hold. Basically, we received drawers, refused delivery and spoke to someone who said they would have to honour order. They re-took bank details and said they would send out asap.......

So, they say they are now not going to honour order and to put complaint in. They do have it on record that the person phoned us back to get bank details for special order. Women is putting complaint in for us and I have two addresses to send letters of complaint to. Will write but am not expecting anything at all

8 phone calls, 5 emails, 1 letter and a partridge in a pear tree...

EVENTUALLY managed to speak to someone who vaguely knew what they were talking about.

mutual mistake apparently renders the contract null and void...

this information had been "on my file" for some time had anyone rung to tell me this, as promised? ooohhhhh no.

am that disgusted at the level of customer service i couldn't be bothered to argue any more. phonecalls are never returned, reps are rude and the general level of ambivalence is shocking.

am never even going to buy anything from them ever again. the bed long ceased to be an issue and am just at how the whole thing has been dealt with.
