For anyone interested.. the raw scores required for an age expected score (100 and above scaled score) are on this link, published today

https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1087928/2022_key_stage_2_scaled_score_tables.pdf

The Reading paper was down to 24 out of 50 raw score for a age expected .. that definitely lower than previous years.. backs up the feedback that it was a challenging paper. Waiting for my sons results from school later this week..

Thank you for posting this.
How long is it generally before schools pass this info on to the parents?

miccoops · 11/07/2023 11:27

No idea.. We've been told 'in the coming days'.. I was hoping to get them today (because I'm impatient and nosey) but I suspect it will be later this week..

We have DDs scores already. Does anyone know what the 'grade boundaries' are for the scaled scores i.e which scaled score means greater depth?

We've just been given scaled scores and when I googled, I found conflicting info.

weekfour · 11/07/2023 15:54

DD has come home with hers today.

TeenDivided · 11/07/2023 15:57

OP - that link has 2022 in it not 2023. Are you sure it is this years?

weekfour · 11/07/2023 16:01

The link is different to what we've been sent by school.

LER83 · 11/07/2023 16:14

According to the sheet my dds school gave out today, 110 to 120 is greater depth, 100 to 110 has achieved expected, and 99 and under has not achieved expected. 80 is the lowest scaled score.

LadyCrazyCatLady · 11/07/2023 16:15

Thank you @LER83

Eudaimonia5 · 11/07/2023 16:53

I'm confused about my daughter's scores. She got 112 for reading, 111 for writing, and 111 for maths. On her results page, the "expected standard" box has been ticked instead of hhe "greater depth" box.

Surely, 110 and above must be greater depth?

(I'm aware I'm being picky and it doesn't actually matter. They're great scores and I'm proud of my daughter whatever the scores).

LadyofLansallos · 11/07/2023 17:00

Our sheet of paper from school says

80-89 scaled score is significantly below
90-99 scaled score is working towards expected
100-109 scaled score is working at expected
111-120 scaled score is working at greater depth

FWIW my DD got 114 in reading and Spag, and 119 in maths. My older DC got similar results & is working on 7-9s at GCSE.

Oh dear yes wrong link.. I was comparing and had the wrong one! Here it is

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/2023-scaled-scores-at-key-stage-2

2023 scaled scores at key stage 2

Scaled score conversion tables for schools and local authorities to use for the 2023 national curriculum tests.

@Eudaimonia5 sounds like they've made a mistake. My Dd had similar results and was marked at greater depth in all three. It's 110 and above for greater depth.

milkysmum · 11/07/2023 18:47

My son has come home and told me his results today (119 English, 114 Maths and 108 spelling and punctuation). The school hasn't told me this though and he hasn't brought these results home on paper, just said the teacher went through the sheet with everyone in class.

spanieleyes · 11/07/2023 18:50

We send our results out with reports next week

DuckBushCityLimit · 11/07/2023 19:22

DD was told her levels today but not the scores, so we'll have to wait for her report to find out exactly what she got.

LER83 · 11/07/2023 19:26

@Eudaimonia5 My dd got 120 in Reading, 119 in spag and 108 in Maths and all 3 of hers say Attained Expected Standard. They only thing that says greater depth is teacher assessment of writing.

twistyizzy · 11/07/2023 19:36

That is wrong surely? DDs results say above 110 is working at greater depth

CherryMaple · 11/07/2023 19:39

DS got 119, 114 and 114. His school has written ‘Expected +’ for all of them.

Any primary teachers on here? Why are different schools giving out such mixed messages around expected vs greater depth? It matters!

KenAdams · 11/07/2023 19:43

119, 113 and 110 here marked as "achieving standard". In the outcomes glossary, there is no category for exceeded expectations.

CoffeeWithCheese · 11/07/2023 19:49

Was in school for a meeting with the y6 teacher about something else today and nothing was mentioned about the results - assume they’ll come out with reports end of the week.

TheCheeseAlarm · 11/07/2023 19:50

Greater depth guidelines come out in September but just like the phonics threshold is always 32, so far the greater depth threshold has always been 110.

Some schools just announce it now and some wait for the official notification.

spanieleyes · 11/07/2023 19:51

That's the issue. When we receive the results they come through as NS- not at standard or AS- at standard. There is no Greater depth code on the results. So if schools give out the results from the proforma, there is no GD result. However, it is accepted that 110 and above is greater depth and we received percentage scores for GD but not individually!
Daft, but that's what we get!

Didiplanthis · 11/07/2023 19:51

I read something about >110 being expected level higher, or expected + . And only writing being graded as greater depth now ?
