Primary school allocation countdown- Thursday 16th April...

Is anyone else dying to find out which school they have been allocated?

This is for my PFB which makes it extra difficult for me :(

I can't talk about it in real life as it starts off as a nice casual conversation ending with some delusions of grandeur PFB nonsense

For those in Hertfordshire, just received this email:

RELEASE OF ALLOCATION INFORMATION

Allocation emails will be despatched after 18:00 on 16 April 2015.

There will be no information available online prior to allocation emails being sent. The online system will be updated with allocation information after allocation emails have been sent, Late evening on 16 April 2015.

Please be aware that the settings of your local email service could mean that your email arrives several hours after it has been despatched from Hertfordshire County Council.

Information about how to respond to your allocation and other options will be included in your allocation email.

Please remember to keep all your details including email address up to date by logging into the online system.

The only trouble with talking about the while thing here is that I am now not only nervous fir me but for everyone else too.

It's going to be so hard to see the updates at midnight when ill have 11 hours to go and other have even longer.

but I do want to see the updates so I can say congrats or post cake pictures

I just got that email from Herts too MTWTFSS - not sure why they didn't just say emails are sent out at 6pm - don't bother trying to look before then as you won't bloody find anything!

Wouldn't mind but we step on a flight to Spain at 5pm so won't find out until we land.

I have been trying to work out when I find out - I am sure it said midnight back when I applied but now the Council's website says the emails will be sent out "in the evening" and implies, without explicitly stating, that you won't be able to log on beforehand.

Really nervous for everyone!

I'm really hoping it's all good news for everyone. BUT if I can't find any wine tomorrow I'm blaming you lot!!!!!

Hi everyone, well I've managed to go a day without obsessing too much about it, but I've just sat down with a cuppa as ds asleep on the couch and it's really starting to sink in that there is a real possibility that we are not going to get our first choice! Which will mean come September I'll have my three children at three different schools??

Hersetta A health visitor told me today last year they started emailing parents at 3pm.

I am so nervous for everyone :( Must take my mind off it!!!

We'd just have to manage somehow Thankfully I only do agency work which tends to be of a weekend, dh works a mixture of early and late shifts so it would be a case of when he's on earlies I'd have to drop my 9 year old off 20 mins early (which is hate) then drop my ds off. And then dh gets home at 2.30 so he could pick one up and if pick up the other. And when he's on lates he'd drop one off and I'd drop one. Not sure how how I'd manage picks ups though, thankfully my eldest starts high school in September and its round the corner from our house so he'll be able to make his own way there and back

When we went through this 4 yrs ago with DD our email didn't arrive until around 6.45pm so I am not holding out any hope.

We do at least have a sibling link this time so am much more relaxed this time around.

At 18:00 it will be 30 hours remaining

I'm having a lazy day today! Doing nothing!!!

After sitting up all night last year waiting for ds's secondary allocation which came through at 8.40a.m, I'm expecting similar times for the primary this year.
Friends in neighbouring boroughs were getting theirs from midnight and I was going crazy!
Think I will be sleeping with one eye open tonight( and the other on my Kindle)
We've applied for one school only for various reasons and having been through the hell/trauma, delete as applicable, that is school appeals last year with ds, I hope this runs smoothly as currently appealing for an in year place.

Dd assumes she's going to the school so I hope and pray it's a yes.
