@swingchandelier it definitely says 'an emergency COBRA meeting' I don't think that is the same as a meeting of the emergency cobra committee.

OK I have a stockpile of loo roll so I get why people are buying it but what on earth is going on with Australia? It's all gone very OTT

I read things like that and want to dash to my mum and her older neighbour and buy them loo roll from Costco. My mum.being mugged for loo roll us more terrifying than her on a hospital trolley

I gritted my teeth, hid my anger and tried to educate her.

re: loo roll, I just bought 48 double length rolls from Who Gives A Crap. That lasts 3 of us - including me who is germ phobic and uses about 20 sheets a time - for at least 9 months, sometimes more. We get the premium one and it's great quality.

No subs in my shop yesterday apart from Calpol instead of Nurofen which I needed anyway, but the delivery man did remark that he'd be coming to mine if the beans started running out (they were on offer so I got 22 cans)!
