Hi All,

I hope you are doing well. This is my first thread on here, so apologies if I make any errors.

I just wanted some support really. I am almost 7 weeks pregnant, despite using contraception. It was completely unplanned and has really concerned me, as I am going through some health issues at the moment.

Due to my health issues, I have decided to have a termination. It really upsets me as I didn't want to go down this route, but Im not well. Luckily, my husband is very supportive and says my health comes first.

I have opted for a medical termination. I've been in and out the hospital a lot the past few weeks and I wanted to do the termination at home. My mum is available to look after me when DH is at work and DS is at school.

I am planning to take the first pill on Tuesday after my appointment and the second lot of pills on Wednesday.

Could anyone advise me who has gone through this? How did you manage pain wise? What pain killers did you take and when?

Please don't tell me horror stories or make me feel guilty. Like I said, it's for medical reasons. I believe women should have the option to terminate if they are not in a position or ready to have a baby. Contraception can fail at any time.

Thank you for all your support. ❤

Hi All,

Wanted to update. I had my scan yesterday and thankfully no retained products, complete abortion and negative test.

I'm so relieved I can't explain it. All the worrying and stress has made me quite poorly but this too shall pass.

Thank you so much for all your support, kindness and patience. Honestly, this thread has comforted me in a dark and uncertain time.

I hope you are all OK and doing well 💕

I'm happy you're all-cleared now

I'm here still bleeding
Don't know if I could get my period 3 weeks after . Cos it seems just like my period
Cramping stoped on the 2 day
Today is the 4th day

I've been worried

Would have my scan tomorrow

Wish me luck

Mummy8908 · 27/04/2023 11:03

I have a strong feeling it's your period lovely. It can come early or late, everyone is different.

How are you feeling in general?

I hope your scan goes very well. Thinking of you ❤.

I'm doing ok
Just mentally stress about all of these not knowing what's good and what's not

I barely have any cramps
Little to non

Bleeding isn't soaking pad

Belly feels softer and less tender unlike before.

My husband thinks it's my period

I guess the scan is the answer

Mummy8908 · 27/04/2023 12:43

Let us know how the scan goes, I hope everything is resolved. I completely understand what you mean about the stress, I have been the same lately.

@Mummy8908 glad you have that reassurance now.

I had my MA on sunday, spent most of the day in bed, in pain and Monday morning I felt super tired but by about 4pm Monday felt completely normal again.

Bleeding now is just like a period, sickness totally gone, tiredness gone, boobs much less sore than before.

These threads really helped me so thank you for everyone who shared.

PazzyPaz · 27/04/2023 18:03

Sorry kinda disappeared off thread.

I'm still spotting and im 5 weeks post abortion.

No sign of period yet.

Honestly, I can't wait for my period, it'll feel like the end of a really stressful point.

Hope everyone is ok?

Mummy8908 · 28/04/2023 18:51

Hi All i am almst 5 weeks pregnant i have already 4 kids and this preg is absolutely accident..i am panicking as my younger 2 are 3years nd 1 year old and i am full time working mum.. i had a telephone consultation and then they booked me for scan just because i said i had bit bk ache and that was just because i was up and about alot...this thursday on 20th they did scan and send me back home and said to come back next week on next thursday 27th for repeat scan to make sure its def not ecotropic as this time they can see some thing inside uterus but its too early and tiny . But def not ecotropic...i am literly panicking now as its delaying the process and i want to start asap..i am experiencing fatigue bit nausea all are classic symptoms..but just stressd what if even on my nxt trip thy still didnt give me treatment..dealing with this and 4 kids ..work ...home..its getting too much fir me now....what should i do shall i try some other service provider this time it was NUPAS ..or shall i wait till mext appointment?

Mummy8908 · 25/07/2023 15:29

Hi @Ambi22, I hope you are well. I think you can try Marie Stopes or MSI as it is now known as. I tried NUPAS and they gave me the abortion pills via post. It was pretty straightforward. It did hurt and was uncomfortable but after the day I took the second lot of pills, I was feeling OK. Do call NUPAS and ask for pills for post. If that doesn't work then try MSI. I hope everything goes smoothly for you as much as it can. It is a hard time, here if you want/need to talk ❤

Ambi22 · 26/07/2023 18:20

@Mummy8908 Thankyou for your reply..i am going to attend my sec appointment tommorrow i hope to get treatment this time...thats another thing i am bit under ther weather today..but waiting to start the process asap because preg symptoms has started nausea..heartburn and fatigue so not at all easy to cope up with kids and office.

PazzyPaz · 27/07/2023 19:11

@Ambi22 Hey, just thought I'd chip in.

The reason you have had to wait, is just to confirm the pregnancy and ensure that nothing is wrong. Otherwise they would need to use other methods to terminate the pregnancy.

Most embryos aren't really visible until around 6 weeks, which will be why they've made you go back.

I expect that using another company, wouldn't change that.

However, if your scan is fine tomorrow, they should start step 1 of the tablets and then step 2 you complete at home the following day.

Mummy8908 · 27/07/2023 20:53

I'm sorry the symptoms are difficult :(. But I agree with @PazzyPaz about why you have had to wait.

Take it easy, complete one step at a time. Once you are ready to take the pills feel free to message here, we can try help you get through the process. 😘

Hi All. Just after some advice because stressing out here. I know I conceived on 28th June but my periods are irregular and last one was 27th May. There is no way I can go through with this pregnancy 20 years old, at uni and not financially stable amongst other things! I have had the first telephone call with msi but they want me to go in for a dating scan next Wed probably because of the actual date of my last period. I will be 7 weeks by then. If everything checks out date wise am I likely to be given the medical miscarriage tablets on the same day? Thank you for any replies in advance

PazzyPaz · 28/07/2023 19:18

@Diddly22
So long as you can get a date via the scan and the pregnancy normal. Then you should start the process the same day.

Diddly22 · 28/07/2023 20:06

Dear Pazzypaz, thank you so much for your reply I really do appreciate it so much. Nothing is guaranteed I guess but that bit of reassurance is worth a lot to me. Take care
